Aaltje gladly shook Marc's hand "Nice to meet you. Now let's join the group waiting to leave", he said, giving a slight nod and heading over to mingle with the crowd of pets.

Marc followed Al, hopping into the group and waiting for the tour to start. While waiting, he began to think about a new song he could write. He began to hum and tap his foot.

Nat gave Glenn a level look, feigning a smile, and feigning it well. "Oh, we were just hanging around the pool. It's refreshing after a day on the town." Nat cast a glance sideways at Li, then looked back to the dalmation. "How about you?" He asked testily.

Glenn jumped in the water, and smiled, while turning back to Nat.
Well, I've just escorted Tom to his apartment, he's tired and wants a nap, so I came to the pool to see if anyone is here, and what a surprise, I meet my favorite tiger!
He splashed Li with water again while saying the last part of his sentence, laughing.

Li raised his arms in defence of the water. He scratched his chin and thought for a second. "Now wait here a second, your favourite tiger? I'm the only tiger here! Uh wait... R-really?" Li blushed as he spoke, realizing Glenn was referring to him. Li looked at Glenn confused, then at Nat, then back to Glenn.

Tobias looked at the group of pets, "Well, is everybody ready to hit the town?" He asked, smiling a sly, yet trustworthy, toothy smile.

Grace nodded, "Yeah, sure."

Jayda smiled, though she was still somewhat nervous about going outside, and said, "Yep. I'm ready!" She looked momentarily towards the elevator. Where was Ryan? He was one of the pets willing to go, yesterday. Maybe something had come up...

Cap nodded and gave a nervous smile. "Er... okay. I guess I'm ready." He pulled out a bottled water from his cap and took a drink before putting it back in.

Grace turned to see Andy, "Hey there, Slick." She said to him, referring to his fall earlier that day.

Tobias nodded, "Okay, let me take care of one thing before we go." He told them as he ran to the front desk, "Hey, miss. If a bat comes down to the lobby, tell him that we left early and he should catch up to us." He told the receptionist as she nodded, "Alright." She said, bored as she wrote it down. Tobias returned to the group, "Without further ado, let's set off!" He said as he started to walk out the door, expecting the others to follow.

"Hey hey hey! Don't think you're gonna ditch me!" Jaxeh ran up and skid across the floor, his bag swinging through the air, making his entrance known. "Nownow! Weeeeee have a tour to take!" Jaxeh shoved his way to the front, walking next to Tobias. "ALRIGHT! You and you," Jaxeh yelled, pointing at Tobias and Klack, respectively, "You guys KNOW the streets best of all, eh? What place should we hit first? Shopping mall? The billiards place? There's a couple of silly museums and shops, clubs and stuff too. Oh, and there's also the lake," Jaxeh said, shooting a furtive glance at Cap with a quick twitch-smile. It was doubtful that anyone but Cap would have been able to catch it, if Cap was even looking in the first place.

"Well, we should at least make a quick stop at everything, just to show the places to them. No need to go in, just to show them the location. As far as finding something that we would all find enjoyable at a concurrent time, there's the mall, and the lake wharf. And there's always the art museum, my favorite place," Klack commented. "Walking towards the main park and city hall should bring us by a couple of the local shops as well, so it would be more efficient to head that way. Recall that we ran out of daylight yesterday, so the fastest route is the best." Klack began walking down the sidewalk with Jaxeh and Tobias, giving a slight motion for the other pets to hurry and follow along.

"Well, here we are!" Frankenstein said, looking up at the bookstore. It was relatively large, and seemed like it could house several bull elephants and still have enough room to organize a Google search. Inside a rather old looking man sat behind a desk, reading a rather large book on animals.
"Uh, hi?" Frankenstein said, walking into the library and waving at the shop owner.
"Just don't try stealing anything." The Old Man said, not even looking up from his book. "There are cameras all over this place."
"That's good to know?" Frankenstein said, wondering why the man seemed so obsessed over security. "Why all the cameras?"
"To keep us safe from Zombies." The Old Man replied. "Once read an article about some scientist creating animals in a lab using brains and stitched up corpses."
"Good to know..." Frankenstein said, hurrying up his pace as he walked in. "So Precious, what kind of book are you looking for?" Frankenstein asked smiling at the dog.

Glenn looked at him, with a confused look on his face. Why was that so weird? It's a normal thing to escort someone who's in a relationship with you.
I don't really see what's so weird there. He's my... you know... after all.

Nat nodded, grinning slightly. "I just thought it seemed a little weird for you to be escorting someone so... big." He laughed out loud at that, sitting down on the edge of the pool.

Carrie walked into the Oasis towers, followed by here owner, Sarah, who was on the phone. "Wow, Mom, look at this place! It's so tall!" Carrie cried in awe, looking up at the balconies that marked off the extensive amount of floors. "I love it! This'll be a great place to live."
Sarah put her hand over the phone, and replied, "Of course, Dear. Mommy's on the phone right now." She then went back to her phone conversation. "Yessir. If we increase the marketing output...."
Carrie shrugged, and began to walk off. She knew that Sarah would take care of all the moving, so there was no need to go up to the room. "Room 814," she mumbled to make sure she remembered. It was then that Carrie noticed the large group of pets in the middle of the lobby. Excited by the prospect of meeting new people, she ran over, ready to join in on the fun. "Hey all! What's this, a tour?" she asked joyfully. "Sounds like a blast! Count me in!" Noticing Jaxeh, she jumped over to him, and leaned on his shoulder. "And you must be Le capitaine of this expedition! I'm Carrie, the new gal here! Nice to meet ya!"

Jayda clapped her hands once happily, before following after Tobias and the others. Her ears perked up when she heard Klack saying something about the places to visit on the tour...

She stepped up closer to him, fixing him with an interested stare, and asked, "You said art museum? What's that like? Is it fun? I've always wanted to go to a museum..." Her chattering was cut off when she stepped out of the actual building, and her wide, blue eyes became even bigger when she looked up, seeing the sky, feeling the soft breeze and the warm sunshine on her fur. "Wow! I never knew the sky could be so HUGE! It looks so different from inside. It's soooo beautiful! And the clouds!!!" She sighed, forgetting her worries from yesterday --about getting hit by cars and whatnot-- and concentrated on taking everything in, wondering eyes darting here and there in excitement.

Tobias nodded, "That sounds like a plan. And nobody knows the fastest routes better than me!" He boasted. He had already mapped out their route in his head. Tobias took the lead and stood next to Jayda, he smiled at her, "If you're this excited over simply leaving the building, I can't wait to see your face when we're in the museum, or in the park." He joked, "The art museum is open pretty late, so that can be one of our last stops." He told her as he began to lead the group down the street towards the city hall and the main park.

Glenn giggled at what they said. Tom was taller than him, and him escorting Tom could be considered weird. He swam to the center of the pool, and laid on his back on the water, relaxing.

Li sat down on the edge of the pool, some distance between him and Nat and looked down at his feet in the water. Oh, uh we were at where Nat's dad works. An animal shelter down town." He looked up at Glenn with a smile. "And there were lotsa cute pets there and oh one of them was getting a new home!" Li exclaimed, his smile broadening.

Is that so? - asked Glenn. Come to think of it, he always wanted a sibling to live with. It's better than being an only pet.
I might ask my mom to adopt someone!

Nat smiled at Glenn. "You should definitely try." His head tilted slightly in thought. "It's always nice to send a pet off to a new home, not mention that it gets pretty hard to care for them all."

Relax, kitty. First of all, it wouldn't be the cutest ever, because I don't have a twin *Grin*, and of course you'd get to meet him... or her.

Yeah, I really feel sorry for all the pets there in the shelter. Without a home or decent food. As their number increases, the quality and quantity of their food decreases.... it must be horrible. I wish they'd all get a home. - he said, with a sad look on his face.

Li almost dove in to hug Glenn but resisted it and petted his head rapidly instead. "AWW you are so sweet Glenn oh god oh god pleasepleaseplease! But what if your mom says no?! Would you kidnap it instead and have it in your room?" Li said looking worried.

Nat dipped his head sadly. "Yeah..." He said, eyes closed. "I've only been to the shelter a few times, but I've been there enough to know that they get new strays far too often. It helps that this is such a crowded city, more people to adopt pets, but still..."

Glenn chuckled. If mom says no, then it's a no. Of course he wouldn't attempt to kidnap a pet from the shelter and keep it in his room. That would be insane!
Of course not, silly tiger. You know what, guys, I'm going right now to ask my mom if she'll adopt another pet! Would you like to go with me?

Li scootched closer to Nat and put a paw on his shoulder and gave a reassuring smile. "Noo don't be sad please... Even though they live in a shelter, I bet they'll make the best of it." Li said.

He turned to Glenn when he spoke. "Yeah! I can uh... Help with uhm... Being cute! I think...!" Li exclaimed, all hyped up, almost jumping up and down on the edge.

Cap simply follows the group quietly, moving to try and keep one person between himself and Jaxeh at all times, subtly enough that it's not noticeable that he's trying except to the most trained eyes and minds.

Klack chuckled at the cat's reaction, responding to her in Jaxeh's stead. "You don't get to walk outside much, do you? The sky covers everything above us, the clouds can change and move, and of course, it changes colors daily and nightly. A great inspiration as well... Now as for the museum, they showcase all kinds of art, the modern, the classic, and simple eye-candy. And they change the selection often. I don't think I've seen the same pieces twice."

Tobias resisted the urge to retort Jaxeh's claim that he was the leader. Tobias nodded about the art museum, "It's a great place to go if you want to think about something, or if you just want a moments peace." He added, smiling at Jayda, "So, do we want to go to the city hall, the park, the museum, or the mall first? There are many other things, but those four are closest."

Jayda was simply amazed. She looked at Klack and Tobias for a moment, though her shining eyes couldn't stay on them long. She was too busy trying to take in everything. The sky and clouds she had mentioned, but even the trees were beautiful, spotted around great, tall buildings, with their brown bark and their millions of leaves, all fluttering in the breeze. She couldn't believe Lilian had thought that going outside was dangerous. It was altogether too wonderful to be bad! She felt slightly annoyed when Jaxeh started talking to that Carrie girl, completely ignoring Jayda, but really, did she even ever want to talk to him? She wasn't sure; she wondered if he was someone she wanted to meet. So far, from what she could tell, he was only a conceited dog, and she had never liked people who thought they were better than others. Klack and Tobias, on the otherhand, seemed much more preferrable. She smiled at them both. She spoke to Klack first. "Ohmygosh! That's right! The sky would be different at night! Do you think we could all come outside at night sometime? It would be so, soooo cool to see the stars! And the moon! And do you think they have paintings or pictures of the sky in the art museum? You said it's a great inspiration, so I'd imagine someone would have wanted to capture it." Then she said, to Tobias' question, "Could we go to the park first? I bet there's a TON of cool things there! I hear there are these giantic fountains that spray water into the air! And so many different kinds of trees. And statues of people, and a big area in the middle called a 'square' that everybody goes to when they want to hang out." She gave him her widest, best smile.

Tobias returned her smile. When somebody was this happy, it was hard not to be happy as well, "That sounds like a plan. The park is one of my favorite places. And you heard right about the park; they have all of that and more!" He said, remembering the route to the park. They just had to take the next right, then go two blocks down and cross the street and they would be at the main entrance.
