Sometimes it's hard to keep a secret when you're used to gossiping freely among yourself.

Cerebus has always been such an odd character. Sometimes she seems to speak with ne mind, and other times you get... this. This does feel like the setup for her to get the action movie ending she wanted at the temple.

Okay, four then, I was considering all the heads of Cerebus one character, but maybe that's wrong.

I am not really sure if Cerberus is one individual or three conjoined individuals. My personal theory is that there is a singular Cerberus, and each of the heads just express that singular self differently. IE, in this panel, each of the statements are true of the singular Cerberus but each head gives different weight to each of the reason.

It is entirely possible that they are conjoined triplets, but the above is just how I naturally rationalized what I read.

I recall that it was mentioned that Rick didn’t want to fall on the trope of each head essentially being a different character. Perhaps each is an aspect of what she wants to say. Basically, talking to yourself in its most literal way possible.

It would be interesting if Rick felt like doing a one off and/or short segment flashback of Cerbs and Pete when they were dating. That's a noodle incident worthy of exploring IMHO.

NEVER explore Noodle incidents. The explanation will never beat what you've imagined. (AIt's like John Constantine's 'Newcastle' incident that keeps getting mentioned... It's amusing until you know what it is. Not sure about the Sumatran incident though. )

Thats how I've always viewed her. Its just when she argues with herself, as we all do from time to time, she does it literally.

Tarot succeeded to talk with Cerberus, after a little hitch. Yeah, probably Great Kitsune can handle this difficult thing, and I agree with not wanting any mortal into it, despite Tarot seems to know what could do with her experience... Eheh, Cerberus has to struggle with her three different personalities. Right, there's a portal to Hell opened on earth which brought the demons there. Tarot got what wanted to know, now you could tell her more details, Cerberus.

So this pretty much confirms that if you want to keep something a secret from somebody, make sure Righty doesn't have a chance to say anything. Because she'll end up revealing it almost instantly. I'm sure Lefty and Middle have had to deal with this multiple times.

Nice of Cerberus to give Tarot an audience, though.

Don't worry Proto. It's just flans. On another chatboard I use soft toffees. On the understanding that pople can't think of bad puns whilst chewing toffees.

I doubt that people can even TALK while chewing them.

The antidotal properties of toffee have yet to be fully explored by medical science.

As a sidebar, the mental image of all three of Cerberus's heads chewing toffee is mildly hilarious.

Which do you tend to do? make puns or throw things at people who do make puns (aka Bennett Cerfing)?

Both but I tend more to actually throw desserts or other objects that won't cause permanent injury at people who make bad puns. Why do you think that Welsh is coated in all that pastry?

But anyways, I always thought one head was a little to nice, kind, naive, too talkative, etc. Compared to the others. WHY is that? Even before this panel I noticed it and wonder if anyone else would too? Guess not until now.

But strange how Mr. Griffin didn't want to fall into some trope I never heard, the "noodle" trope was it? Or am I mixing that up with the pete thing I just saw? But still, why not make them their own character though?

Also, I had this theory (aswell as a different but distantly similar theory involving time travel with 3 other other characters) that the heads represent as state of mind:

(Her) right head: the ego, and the head that tells what it feel like it should tell within reason while somewhat following what she has been told.

(Her) center head: the Id, and the head that tells what it has been told to say, I.E. the pride of being a law & rules following demigod that likes following & barking (lol, pun) orders and being a good obedient "dog".

(Her) left head: the SUPER ego, and the head that tells the truth, the facts, and is possibly the subconscious way she feels; also the head who is naive honest, and wants to help out more.

Again, just a theory, but it's how I justified theor actions in some instances....

Yeah, each head is supposed to represent different parts of her personality. I think it's a fun way of showing her character

Cerbs is pretty adorable, isn’t she?
