Well we all won the booby prize tonight. Breel actually offered them cookies. And they accepted. If someone mentions the demon, I'm out.

Breel is either a strategic mastermind or a simpleton. Time will tell.

That is a purple in their house. It nothing to do with anything but I wanted to point that out.

I said it would be hilarious and it was. Chocolate chip cookies will solve any problem.

I dont think Breel is either, but I think hes stuck in Heaven mode, where no one can get hurt.

I love Lois here, with that slightly angry but neutral expression, and it feels like Keene is bothered it was so easy to get the bobcat to stop.

I like to think that Breel knows the severity of the situation, but took some classes in Heaven about peaceful conflict resolution and decided the best way to stop the fighting was by offering delicious cookies.

I do wonder which Keene we get now. The Keene we've seen up to now would be calling the police, or at least his own goon squad. Does he forgive their entrance and have a conversation, or do we see the next scene at the precinct?

I am really surprised at how fast those cookies got baked. When Lois stormed in and tackled Keene it looked like the cookies that he and Breel were making were still just cookie dough. That whole scene couldn't have been more than 2 or 3 minutes. Cookies usually take a bit longer. Unless Breel somehow still has some power that he got when he was an angel in heaven.

I imagine Breel would try to convince Keene not to, but calling the police would be a quick way to get Fox and Fido back into the mix.

I think the part that sold me here is that I focused too much on Lois and didn't notice that Marion was reaching for the cookies as well. <3

I don't think that he knows that this bobcat was Lois, at least not at that moment. I don't think he knows anything specifically that's been going on since Marion changed.

That doesn't mean he doesn't know anything useful. He is possibly the greatest mortal expert on the Temple since he has his fathers research. Has he been looking at any of it? I guess we'll find out soon.

Gotta love the subtle detail in Rick's art. There's hardly any difference in Lois' face between panels 2 and 3, but you can really see her change in expression.

It did occur to me that what we thought was a bird in Presto Chango could be something else, although actually looking at the page is making me think its a big stretch.

The dino-demon can fly, and is pitch black... but other than that, it shares little resemblence to the apparent bird. Unless it can shape-shift (not impossible, considering its other abilities) it probably isn't the bird.

Well it is a demon from the HP! version of hell, so I wouldn't be surprised at any abilities that the demon has that we haven't seen yet because we have only seen him for a few strips before he left the ferret who helped him break into the real world to die in a massive temple collapse.

I'm not entirely sure on that, but didn't Rick plant that seed with "Two years from now" and then two years later in real time, the payoff happened?
