King's kids are growing up so fast.

I never knew I wanted this interaction, but now that I have it it’s the only thing I want.

Wow. King's kids grow up so fast. And Craig you need to learn to be nice in order to regain your immortal forms, or do you wish Kitsune to let you stay mortals forever?

Re: 2019/04/22 - The Fox And The Hound
It took me a moment before I fully realized what was happening but once it click it was like sirens going off in my head. For starters, OH MY GOD! Just OH MY GOD. Olive has gotten so BIG! She's using words!
The sheer amount of potential that could be unlocked by this one-off is simply unfathomable. Olive and Pete actually being....friends....maybe more. The best part, what would King say if he found out.
The joke is cute. Once he had All the knowledge in the world and know doesn't even know how to use a frisbee. I can't say I'm not happy see him get what he deserves and then some.
Poor Olive. She has no idea that he's technically responsible for her existence in a weird almost disturbing way.
There is so much potential just to be wasted as a one-off. This has to lead somewhere. It just has too. For my sake.

First order of business, Olive is absolutely adorable.
Second. This punishment is getting downright cruel, to be aware of having known so much, but unable to remember hardly any of it. Not even how to use a frisbee. I almost feel sorry for Pete. Sort of. Okay, not really.

Anyone want to bet this week is going to be all one-offs, each featuring a different Robinson pup?

That's hilarious that these two would meet up. Olive finally talks and she gets straight to the point.

Playing catch with a devil in furry form,
King’s worst dreams are coming true
as the friendliest eyes are opened
and seeing new pals in a world so blue.
She’s wandered away from his side
and discovered the one who started it all,
manipulating the world and creating heck
during the game of gods; before the fall.
Friendship can change the worst, they say,
and he certainly was that before this life.
Maybe Olive can be the third Girl he knows
and, in future, she might be his… pal?

So happy to see at least one of the pups again! But they’re growing up without us! AAAH!!!
Have Ace’s ears unfolded? Does Rook still have a drooling problem? Do they have distinct personalities yet?
An arc with them on a misadventure is at the top of my wish list.

Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.
Re: 2019/04/22 - The Fox And The Hound
Come to think of it, why doesn't Olive know how to use a frisbee? If she's old enough to be out wandering by the woods, surely she's old enough to play fetch, or at least have seen it played enough to understand the concept.

Re: 2019/04/22 - The Fox And The Hound
I wonder when the pups going to get collars. Peanut had one when he was younger than Olive, and I’m guessing a license would be important to get as soon as possible; then again, she could be chipped - but that’d still be going against the convention of “modesty” that’s been established in Housepets pet culture. I just can’t imagine King sending his kids outside in a state of “advanced” nakedness.

Re: 2019/04/22 - The Fox And The Hound
This is too cute to put into words I hope we get more of King and Bailey’s pups interacting with Craig and Draig in the future
Re: 2019/04/22 - The Fox And The Hound
Yeah!!! At least Olive is gonna be able to talk now, King’s Dad traits are bound to get even more intense, I can’t wait to see more of them. A little surprising that this is a one-off, as the idea of the fox kits meeting King and Bailey’s pups I think has been one the forum has brought up a few times already. Still, the pups can be more than basically cameos, and this is likely the start of Craig and Draig showing up more, so regardless I’m happy. Also, man these two are cute.

All together now? SQUEEEEEEE!
Seriously, Olive makes for one adorable pup. That little kink in her ear is a really nice touch to her character design. Careful King, your daughter's going to be breaking hearts before you know it.

You know considering he was literally locked in a temple for thousands of years, Pete should be happy to have any kind of social interaction with someone roughly his own age or you know be outside. Also as someone who’s read the Percy Jackson series dozens of times, I can tell you that the “intellect of the gods” is not something worth bragging about.

Also it's still Pete we're talking about, sure he can scheme and all, but I somehow doubt he is that smart as he wants to believe, or was ever that smart.fenrirblack wrote:You know considering he was literally locked in a temple for thousands of years, Pete should be happy to have any kind of social interaction with someone roughly his own age or you know be outside. You know that makes me thinking:
Maybe in the end it would be King's pups to teach Pete and Dragon humiliation and not just the simple live of an mortal living in the woods.

While part of me is worried where this may lead (as it seems Craig/Pete isn't taking too kindly to being a mortal), the other part of me is squeeing at Olive Same time, I DO wonder if this may be a redemption arc for Pete in a way...

I was thinking the same thing. If King knew Pete's back, in mortal form, in Babylon Gardens, I imagine the tormentor would become the tormented.SeanWolf wrote:Same time, I DO wonder if this may be a redemption arc for Pete in a way...
Re: 2019/04/22 - The Fox And The Hound
Just had a thought, but is it just me, or do Pete and Dragon's memory and knowledge of their divine lives seem to be...fading as they get older? Like, when they were sifting through the ruins of the destroyed temple they seemed to have a fairly complete knowledge of their past selves. At least, they knew what was in the temple, presumably how to use it, and they knew that Dragon's temple is in Egypt. Now Pete doesn't even know how to use a Frisbee.
Makes me wonder, as the two grow up, will memory of their divinity gradually fade into the realm of childhood imagination, leaving them effectively mortal in mind once they reach adulthood? I kinda hope so. Knowledge of their past lives, and a desire to find some way of regaining them, seems to be the biggest obstacle standing in the way of Pete and Dragon actually developing, learning, or otherwise growing as characters through this experience.
Who knows, maybe friendship with the pups will help with that.

Would it be a interesting (but odd) twist to see if when they finish their sentence, they have to live it again and again until they grow up?leinglo wrote:Makes me wonder, as the two grow up, will memory of their divinity gradually fade into the realm of childhood imagination, leaving them effectively mortal in mind once they reach adulthood? Aw, Olive is adorable. So is Craig, despite his attitude. Does King know that Pete and Dragon, in mortal form live so close by? Considering how much King worries, this would cause a bit of consternation in the corgi.

I was really hoping this would be the start of a new arc.... maybe if all of us wheedle and plead enough. Now why are there quotes around frisbee? It makes it seem like Craig's up to something...
