DRAMATIC FINISH!

Good shot!
Now it remains to close the portal. Unfortunately you need at least 2 people to cross the streams.

*sings*
If there's something strange in the neighborhood,
Who are you gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS!!!
If there's something weird and it don't look good,
Who are you gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS!!!
I ain't afraid of no ghosts!
I ain't afraid of no ghosts!
If you're seeing things running through your head,
Who are you gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS!!!
An invisible man sleeping in your bed,
Who are you gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS!!!
I ain't afraid of no ghosts!
I ain't afraid of no ghosts!
Who are you gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS!!!
If you're all alone, pick up the phone,
and you call, GHOSTBUSTERS!!!
I ain't afraid of no ghosts!
I hear it likes the girls!
I ain't afraid of no ghosts!
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
Who are you gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS!!!
If you've had a dose of a freaky ghost baby,
You better call, GHOSTBUSTERS!!!
Lemme tell ya something... Bustin' makes me feel good!
I ain't afraid of no ghost!
I ain't afraid of no ghost!
Don't get caught alone! No! No!
GHOSTBUSTERS!!!
When it comes through your door,
Unless you just want some more,
I think you better call, GHOSTBUSTERS!!!
Who ya gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS!!!
Who ya gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS!!!
I'm sorry. I love this song.

If there's something weird, in your neighbourhood, who you gonna call? Tarot, quite frankly. She's probably involved anyhow.
Everyone wants to be Venkman
and, it’s very easy to say,
if they can’t be Winston or Spengler,
they’re going to have to be Ray.
Res goes for the wildest cliché
to end the battle in great fashion;
winning the fight he fought
with a move of extreme passion.
The cheer is raised high;
the day is now won for sure
but, with the lil Demon loose
are things now worse than before?

Re: 2018/03/26 - What Does A God Need With Ultimate Power
1: I DIG THIS DRAGON BALL-ESQUE BUNK SO MUCH THE KAMEHAMEHA AND THE GIANT OZARU LIKE FORM AAAAAAA--
2: I find this page to actually help this arc immensely for multiple reasons.
Firstly, the hype and buildup for the mana was not wasted as it turned out this was all apart of the plan. Like some had said Res DID have complete focus and knew exactly what to do with the mana. The giant form would have been incredibly underwhelming if that's all the mana did, but even though this was just a small basic example of what it could do, the sheer display of power and oddity of it made a very big point that the mana was a force to be reckoned with. Euodant's expression and reaction to The Fogotten's seemingly obliteration (gotta be careful, don't wanna say "we got em!" before they rise from the smoke again), while small, really pushes how big that really was considering he was also an antagonist to be concerned about in this arc. At this point, it further staples that that mana might make anything possible. Anything can happen with the rest of is arc up until that mana is out of the picture and that's super fun to think about.
Secondly, it finally settles what I've been wondering about this arc this entire time: "What is the tone? Is this endgame? Is this any darker than usual?". The answer is quite simply (as of this arc I may be swayed later but I doubt it): It's a fun adventure with some key serious bits, like most big HP arcs. From the looks of it, no, this isn't actually endgame feeling, it was just REEEALLY big and eventful. It's an arc that gives us some fun scenarios we had wanted to see for years and give us some much needed development/use for under-developed characters. And no, by no means was this arc any more dark than any arc we've seen before. In the moment some scenes may have felt like it, but if you were to binge this arc the overall feel would probably be felt throughout the entire thing. We've way been blowing these scenes up way more than they should be. It was an adventure, an adventure that like many said adventures has peril and rough spots the characters has to trudge through. It's nothing more than you'd see in an animated movie, but with the tone of Housepets! instead of your average cartoon feature. Of course the length and pacing of this arc is still up for criticism but you can make of that what you will.
Thirdly, that was satisfying. That was very satisfying. I could agree that Res could have used a bit more buildup but overall the defeat of the forgotten and just drawing a clear line that the demons of hell don't stand a chance here wraps this up with so much impact. After all of that conflict for it to just be wiped out using the thing that was warned about and in true form playing with the audience and catching them off guard, that was very good for this particular arc. I'm not sure what's gonna happen next or if any of this will have made a difference, but as of this page I have become very satisfied with this arc and have full confidence in it. Good on ya Rick
(Note: this is from a standpoint of someone who was very 50/50 and unsure what this arc was going for in response to how people were receiving it and how things were being presented. Admittedly some people may have gotten what was going on with the tone way sooner or immediately, and frankly I wish I could have said that it should have been that clear but I guess my and some other people's perception and foresight just wasn't that good . Also, there are people who have actively hated, been confused by, and frustrated with this arc and I hope the page itself or this essay of an entry has helped you get a better understanding of what this arc is )

I would like to remind you guys of Ricks message some days ago. So next time you dislike the direction the comic takes, just wait a little bit, it could be just a long buildup. YESSSS!!!!
I agree with Chaoko: it was very satisfying.
Wait, the portal is getting sealed! Oh dear... Now let's hope the Demon won't make any trouble on Earth...
I do wonder what the Star Trek V reference would have been.
I don't mind that. Not one bit. ^^
Nor the fact that a love-filled kiss freed Keene and Breel from their chains.

Re: 2018/03/26 - What Does A God Need With Ultimate Power
I kinda wish we'd learned a bit more about the Forgotten, though. How exactly did the Forgotten fit into things in the infernal plane? How was Breel connected to him? This leaves quite a few questions unanswered, and unless Breel feels like explaining in the coming pages they're probably gonna stay unanswered, as I think it's safe to say getting DBZ'd with that much mana power is more than capable of making sure that the Forgotten is never coming back, daemon or not.

Duct tape is The Force.
It's got a light side and a dark side and it binds the galaxies together.

Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

So .... if the monster dies, then its soul goes to Pandemonium and the cycle continues... But, hey, the good gang wins, the portal gets shut, and Eudoant gets a lesson about controlling your pets. And she does look rather poignant in the blast lights....
Your point, MX682XM, is well taken.

Eudoant seems to be thinking, "Well...........carp."
And I think the Star Trek reference is in the title. While the comic asks what god needs with ultimate power, Bones asked the being in behind the Great Barrier, "What does God need with a star ship?"

New powers as the plot demands.
And I agree. The other way would've involved talking the demon to death. Would've taken too long.
I am also now imagining Res being voiced by Peter Kelamis. Not Sean Schemmel, he's not Canadian. :3

Maybe that's why Eudoant was trying to entice Keene back, DocFlareon. She liked having him as a bunk-buddy. Need to work on your people skills, there, darlin'. Oh, and the barbed wire scourge - whips aren't normally seen as welcoming (unless you're Dutchess).
