Kitsune, seriously, I know it's your thing, but a deus ex machina from the guy who isn't around that much would be a nice thing to know about right about now.

The celestials are there to prevent the end of the world, nobody said they would do that with magic(k). People have complained about there total inaction, but that isn't true. GK directed teem nerds toward the "shortcut", possibly affecting when each team got to the mana chamber. Res's inaction vs action could affect the fate of the world and thus Kitsune saves the day without being a more literal Deus ex Machina.

Wait we didn't already have the Hero yet? I could have sworn it was Tarot. Or was it Keene? Or was it Peanut? Or was it Grape?

Ah well, guess it's up to Res now with... all the amazing things... Res can do........ uh.

Maybe it's a trick an Keene's gonna actually save the day... with Breel trapped..... and both being very far away from the portal after all this time spent in hell and only being a few seconds in the real world.......... er--

But wait! Tarot can still seal the portal and-- oh who am I kidding Kitsune basically just called Tarot useless here.

So we're getting a deus ex machina of using the mana to reset everything now right? Res' conflict is that he's the writer that can't come up with an ending so now he's gonna come up with a perfect ending, and if not that "rewrite" the story to have a perfect world.
If that theory is correct, depending on how it plays out, I'm going to really like this ending or reeeeealy meh it.

You know, maybe whatever Res does will finally bring about the warning about taking the hat off. Maybe whatever he chooses to become, it makes him stuck in weretiger form, or at least make it his default.

Or that warning was a red herring all this time.

I agree with his thought, anyway. Well, Res already did something important for his group, defeating a monster, but against The Forgotten, only you magicians, angels, and demigods can do something, right?

Come on, Kitsune, move your fluffy tails and go give Tarot your help.

I'm not sure he can. Most of the others have an actual hat to remove. Res doesn't. We saw Ta-rot essentially dismiss her powers just before Keene went into Pandamonium. So while Eudoant was able to depower the weasel by removing the hat, this can't be done to Res.

I imagine he can dismiss the power same as Tarot or it will just fade after exiting the temple.

Even if he does know kitsunes are mythical, Res is currently a were-tiger and his friend Grape is an actual ninja. A pet turning themself into a kitsune isn't that far fetched. Also, I would assume he is able to dismiss his power because he was normal size after defeating the first monster.

Is anyone else wondering weather Kitsune is male or female? I know people are going to say "why would it matter" but the reason i am wondering is that in the old style kitsune came across as masculine but in the new art style they seem somewhat more feminine. Was it ever canonically spoken? Someone saying calling them a he or she?

Not all pets are embarrassed about not wearing collars. In The Arc Specifically About Being Naked, everyone Bino interacts with is unfazed by his advanced nakedness. On their way to the farm, Grape had a breakdown without her collar, but Peanut was fine with it. Both Zach and Keene have voluntarily taken off their collars to give to someone.
