I just realized now that they've never actually kissed in canon and that's honestly really bizarre.

Because by the time Peanut realized he was in love with Grape and she was a girl, she had already moved on to Maxwell. He did try to give her a dead chicken as a symbol of his love for her but it was too late.

Sometimes that is just the way things have to go sometimes. I'm sure that it will get better in the future.

I, in particular for no reason like the one with Cory that he included in the pack. It is one of my favorites. XD

Those pictures of the two of them are really adorable! I don't know why, but it FEELS like we haven't seen them in a long time.

Hope we get to see them again soon and we can finally see King get over his overprotectiveness.

I don't know about King undergoing a parental conversion experience, but I wouldn't mind a little break from the cosmic drama for a little family fun stuff. I'm beginning to think that one comic a week kinda drags out the pace of the stories a little bit. Part of what I enjoyed about the three times a week sequences was the "slam-bang!" energy it brought to the comic. I miss that.

Okay, okay, okay, I know, I know - "it's Rick's world", etc., and (1) I still enjoy Housepets, (2) Rick is moving on to other projects which give him more enjoyment, (3) and all the old cast members are GONE, NHWestoN, so please get over it!

Still .....................

It doesn't mean you are entitled to your opinions however. Though to be fair once this arc is over I will wonder how he plans to do the comic going forward if all strips will be one-offs.

Love the King and Bailey ones, Bailey looks like she's been working out, definitely got some Husky sled pulling muscles there, I like how she is the strong, unflappable, no nonsense one in the relationship, a sweet couple. The shading and background really brings these drawings to life.

I personally think the King background looks the best. Then again, those are my favorite colors. 8-)

Teasing the Fungo shippers again I see huh? I really will be interested to see if he does go there with them. Of course, I just prefer them as friends.

Well, when Rick decided to make adult-oriented art of Housepets, one of the earliest ones was a piece of Fox and Mungo getting intimate, with the caption of “not canon…yet.”

So really it’s a waiting game for it to happen in the comic.

Or, as Freud once said about the symbolism of a cigar ... naw, I don't think I'll test that after all.

I can't say I won't be disappointed if Fungo is canon as I prefer them as friends, but whatever.

Though it does mean I can ship any female OCs with either of them.

Again ... it's Rick's world.
Does that mean if Mongo and Fox become a couple, we'll never see Spring and Summer again?
How about Sasha and Daisy, then?

Well, judging by the fact that both Spring and Summer were wanting to date fox and neither had any issue with the other, I’m guessing they’re pretty okay with a polyamorous relationship. Marriage isn’t a dog thing, after all, and cultures that allow such relationships aren’t new, either.

Sasha is spoken for with Kevin, though Daisy still has an opportunity for her own development.

Not sure if Spring and Summer had celestial origins or were originally mortal. Either way, they'll handle it mellow....

I thought they were originally all over Fox because they knew he was Winter and it wouldn't have been seen as interrupting the natural progression of Fox's growth.

Also, is Fox gonna be bi, or is Mungo the only male he will be attracted to? I don't see him as being closeted or gay since he did have strong attractions to Sasha, Spring and Summer.

Bi or pan seem like really safe bets.

I would say "bi" because Fox doesn't seem to be the type to be attracted to all genders. So far he seemed to really have a crush on Sasha, enjoyed Spring and Summer and I could see him going there with Mungo though I still think they work better as friends.

They're literally just the same background but flipped and recolored.

I'm inclined to think of him as a "bi-guy", given that his attraction to Mungo seems his only male inclination and largely a response to Mungo's attentions. (Havent seen Fox initiate attentions while Mungo seems to have some boundary blinders.) I guess we'll see where Rick takes their story.

That is true. Plus if I am remembering correctly Fox ended up falling for Sasha when Sasha opened up to him about Bino breaking up with her and the rest of the GODC dating her and acting like total tools so she would take him back. Sasha might have also been a little bit flirty when Fox was cheering her up.

Sasha may be a forever thing with poor Fox.

Getting sentimental ... or slightly mental ... or something like that.

It might be interesting to see the cast depicted over the years, including for each year characters that have come and gone. I know that would be a lot of work and I'm cnfident Rick would find that idea a major "Yaaaaaaawwwwwn". Just passing though, I guess.
