I guess that the person transforming instantly becomes acclimated to the feel of the new form. Joel/King and now Thomas did not even notice they changed at first. Then again, Thomas may have been too enraptured by his scheme to even notice he was suddenly on all fours with a hump on his back... While I don't see it in his silhouette, I like to think he still has a moustache.

Honestly, I've thought this could happen ever since Sofia's name was revealed. Thought it would be a bit more convoluted than "flash" though

edit: just had a thought. Is Sofia speaking Arabic because she truly can't speak English, or because she only knows how to speak Arabic with the "bit" in her mouth (i.e. she has a harder time speaking English while holding that in her mouth, i.e. once she's "naked", will she be able to speak English just fine?)
