Oh that'll be interesting considering she supports the tranquilizer in this case. She gets real panicky in car rides longer than a few minutes.

I'll have to start back reading then, see if I can figure out what's going on. Cala's diet thing was going to come up later (the fact that she doesn't like eating meat conscience-wise but kinda has to), but I doubt her siblings would share those inhibitions.

I was looking at one of the older forums and they said that the Housepets struggle with red-green, right? So that is still something relevant? Wasn't sure whether that's expressed to everyone.
Either way Cala knows what the paint's supposed to be because Anthony told her it "might be fun to spook people with" and some other stuff but whether or not she can see it well is in question still.

It's to do with the science committed on him when he was a very young kitten. He hasexceptional hearing and sight but has no clue either isn't normal.

Right, I remember that much; I just wanted to ensure that other characters wouldn't have the same ability without a similar explanation. The post seemed pretty old and I wasn't sure if it was common knowledge or not.

For the future, just want to ask early:
I might just be bad at searching but is the process for pet registration set anywhere within the IC? Ideally Brian has already registered her, but she hasn't been here before and he's only supposed to have been here for 6 months to set up the house and such. I could definitely see a predator being required to appear in person, but she has no history of violence if that matters. Uther (vet) and Brian (psychologist) would send any shot records or other documentation easily, but she's never been registered as a pet anywhere else.

For Oreo and Senka, they got examined, shots, an approved of at the clinic.
then got sent to pet school, to be "tamed", and tought how to be a pet.

My character's owner had to go to the town hall/courthouse to get the paperwork for my character's "brother" transferred into his name. Kandi and Oreo's dad would have done the same but paperwork isn't very interesting to RP so it would have been skipped over for the sake of time.

Oh, so Brian could've done it at any time when he was here, good. He purposefully wouldn't have told Anthony and Cala in an attempt to make her act a little more reserved, which is definitely working.

Found this on the matter for anyone who hasn't already seen it. Also the idea that the creator of the comic's around for questions if you need help is pretty dang cool. Evidently he treats his mods well.

And yeah, he does. ^^ Some of the mods are close friends of his, others, like me, are a little more distant but he pops up in our telegram chat from time to time to give opinions or advice on moderation issues and he's always happy to answer any questions if we ping him directly. ^^ He even surprised us all by doing a sketch of each of us for Christmas back in 2014. He's a good guy and I'm proud to work for him. ^^

No worries. I only tend to 'go like that' when it's a character involved in a one on one (or three way if all players are there) conversation that would, irl, take only a few minutes.

So it would have to be a normal lizard. that could perhaps talk like the hoofed mammals can, but are still otherwise normal.

Reptiles in the HPU are quadrupedal, basically looking just like they do IRL. In the flashback where Grape, Max, and Fox were trying to escape a petnapper as kittens and puppies, we hear an alligator speak, so we know reptiles can talk.

I asked Rick on this actually. Reptiles ARE sapient but they ARE also quadrupedal. So a lizard is fine but they'll walk on all fours even though they will have hands.

Also bear in mind that they can't thermoregulate so they're going to struggle on particularly hot or cold days.

I'm making a ferret instead. Or maybe I'll stick with my original idea depending on how dexterous I'm allowed to be.

I mean, if he wants to hold something in his hands and walk a few steps I'm happy to allow it. He'll find it a bit awkward though.

I do like your character. The only problem is the age is a little off. One human year equals 3.5 pet years. So if she's 2.5 human years then she's 8.75 pet years, or if she's 18 pet years then she's a little over 5 human years.

Other than that she looks great. If you could fix that then I'm happy to approve you. ^^

That'll work. And that's correct. Small animals are rats, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, that sort of thing. Ferrets aren't considered small so their stats are just normal.
