I'm wondering what happened to Sasha during the training.

Desperation showing on her face;
pleading mixed with regret;
Daisy looks on them wide-eyed,
needing them to keep her secret.
She's silently observed them all
and she knows all their tricks.
She knows where they hide
and Sasha's out in the sticks.
Bino's forced to take the lead
and takes Fox through the woods.
With the possibility of charges
the 'Ol' boy' better deliver the goods.

Back to three times a week! AWRIGHT!!! :mrgreen: Rick, you are da bomb!

Yay, more character development for Daisy! Also, arms look appropriately large but not too ripped - very nice. Poor Sasha, though - I hope her owner didn't abuse her. Neglect is one thing, but I'd chomp his leg if he abused her (speaking as Douglas, not as a human - that would be weird).

seems the last page was just an explosion of genius after years of pretend idiocy. now she's back to an average level of intelligence. (or she's just dumbing herself down slightly less than usual)

In Bino's defense, I don't think he has a good reason for lead them in circles... The only reason would be him wanting "revenge" (?) I guess (?)

But IS IT the house King built?

And that's a rather smarmy response from someone who advocates being a good dog.

I'm quite sure that the dog house that King insulated, was in her owners back yard.

Maybe Bruno is nearby to save Bino? But he just ends up getting sat on?
How far did Sasha go into the woods? It looks pretty far to me, but I think they are maybe following a pathway atleast?

It could just be a coloring error. The collar I mean. It looks the same, it's just a different color.

And the collar's decoration (like keychains) is missing also.

My best guess is that's another collar, a GPS tracking one to not be lost in the woods.

Down the old path and past the riverbed until they're clear in Brigham County, then a left turn at an old oak tree with gnarled branches and a shack with a crazy old man who only spoke in limericks. Then they passed under a rock outcropping that was shaped like a fist...

I'm positive it's just the illumination

I'm glad for the three weeks again, but at the same time ~ do what you feel is best, Rick. :3

I wonder if she meant the first obedience training class or the most recent?

Good that now Daisy is talking normal. :P Well, for she should be way too easier to have an happy face. ;) That's interesting about Sasha, and probably she didn't want to stay there, her owner forced that... Alright, so Sasha is hidden somewhere in the woods, and they should be the same woods where there's the temple, right? Oh, Bino knows her hideout? :P Yeah, it's better if Bino won't do that, or Fox will arrest him again. :D

Great! It's awesome to have the three weeks schedule back! :D

Pretty sure if they wanted to force Bino to do something all it would take is a police baton and he'd have a bad day...Also huzzah, we're going back into the woods!

I can't wait to here her explanation of what she was doing at the docks. That is of course assuming she is still even at this little hide away.

This strip right here represents a big part of why I love 'Housepets!' so much: the ability of its creator to flip between hilarity and pathos in a heartbeat. Sasha and Daisy are instantly transformed in our minds, and we're left wondering what some of the other pets might be hiding, and what other darknesses might underlie the human/pet relations of the BG world. The tone of this arc now reminds me very much of 'A sinister shadow' and 'The unbearable lightness of being a dog' – bravo!! The possibilities for future strips are amazing.

Hmm... Bino is still such a jerk, but at least he has a good memory.

Is it just me, or is the concept of obedience training for animals in the Housepets mode deeply unnerving? They've been shown to be on or near par with humans mentally, fully capable of communication in understandable language, and are regularly treated as friends, companions, or 'kids' by humans; essentially, they're small, fluffy humans. But you really do have to wonder the mental effects of obedience training. To be fair, humans go through obedience training of a sort, too, learning (over time) how to act around others and in society. But that's not really the same thing as what we're describing here. It's not like I'm claiming they get abused or something (even in our world animal obedience training isn't like that) but I wonder if it is a little like being sent to military school? I don't know. Am I thinking about this too hard?

Just about EVERYTHING in the Housepets! universe to do with animals is deeply unnerving if you actually stop to think about it.

Everything in our universe is preety much the same, except animals can't talk back or be conscious of their existence.

Well, it's that last bit that makes it particularly creepy.

Some are, though. Wolves and dogs have shown the ability to pretend and scale their strength, which demonstrates that they are aware of how they are perceived, which in turn demonstrates that they are self-aware.
