Things are definitely bleak. Fen finally used his fangs, though sadly not for a good purpose. But now consumed by darkness yet apparently acting against the robed figure.

...Anti-Form Fenrir?

Green jumpsuit, bowl cut. Nothing is quite coming to me on that.

By the way, the Dive to the Heart looks pretty good!

Its always nice to hear feedback from people so thanks a alot i really appreciate it! This post didn't come sooner because i was busy designing these for future purposes but I'd like to leave them here for now.

Image

Still working on the other two, since their design was a little more complicated than i had anticipated, also i ran out of space on the page.

as a side note the inverse keyblade spoken about in the last chapter was rendered by D-rock, so credit goes to him. Its real name, since i never actually said it, is Truths cast aside.
Image

as for where Fox ended up I'll leave another keyword: Leaves

Liking those symbols for the Heartless. And still got nothing with that hint. Let's wait and see, then.

Wow this took far longer than i expected, but what with the random tests popping in and out i was a little bit distracted. Also it didn't help that the plot line for this one was more like a plot web which made like seven different versions of this one. Never mind all that its finished an i hope you guys like it.

also as a side note, while i was reading the chapter before this one i noticed a small typo, the man in the green jumpsuit is supposed to be a teen, not yet a man, so oops my bad

This chapter was inspired by Xion's theme from kingdom hearts and the Lyrical version by Lizz Robinett because the lyrics do remind me a little bit of Fen

Chapter 26.2
Valorous Maelstrom

The sky was a deep shaded red with a giant tear running through it. The sounds of winds howling mixed with the sound of my feet crushing leaves as I ran. From what, I didn't know; for what reason I didn't know either. All I knew was my instincts were telling me if I wanted to live the best thing I could do now was to run. I was exhausted, pushed far beyond my limits, but I still had to run.

Unfortunately breaking the cycle of crunching leaves and howling winds was the sound of a merciless snarl. Fear took its hold on me and froze my foot steps, and I instantly felt like I was being watched. As I tried to break the hold my fears had on me I caught a glimpse of it as it dashed by. Blood red eyes, distinctly glowing in the distance, carefully stalking me, sizing me up for its hunt. A predator was nearby, I was in danger, and I needed to be somewhere else. I wanted to move, I had to move but my body wouldn't listen.

A few seconds was all I had before the red eyed creature pounced on me. Its claws dug into my shoulders as it pinned me down and now because it was closer, I now had a clear view of it. Its fur was ruffled and unkempt, its sharp fangs were bared, and its breath reeked of death. Yet all these features brought only one name to mind. Fen, the good dog who I saw risking his own life for another used to be the owner of those once kind eyes. Now they belonged to a savage beast and nothing more. I could do nothing but scream as the beast opened its maw and bit down.

I shot up from my bed as lightning streaked across the clouded skies. A few seconds later thunder sounded to compliment the absurd amount of rain battering the closed windows. Three days has passed since I woke up in this world but still the suddenness of the storm was concerning. A few days ago not a single cloud was spotted in the sky, but now the whole sky was filled with stormy clouds that didn't look like it was going to let up anytime soon.

“Fox, are you alright?” I almost jumped out of bed from the surprise

To my side sat my rescuer, named Might Guy. Once you get past his choice in attire and hairstyle as well as his outspoken personality Guy was actually great company to have around. After hearing the story of how I ended up in this world, he had decided on the spot that I was to be kept company for the remainder of my stay in this village.

I took a second to recover my breath “Guy, please don't do that again.”

“Sorry to startle you, but it looked like you were having a bad dream.” he took a seat on the bed “I just wanted to make sure that you're alright.”

“Guy, you don't have to stay here you know. I'll be fine on my own, really.” I sighed as I pulled the covers over myself again

He shook his head “Something told me leaving you all alone by yourself isn't the best choice; not after what you told me the other day.” he patted my head “It may not amount to much right now but in times like these having a good friend nearby will help out in the long run.”

I smiled warmly knowing that I've only met Guy for one day and he already cares this much about me. With my ring not capable of reaching Tarot unless I have at least a second one I had literally no one else to talk to. I had to admit talking it out with him did feel like a weight off my shoulders. After all the craziness I've been through it was nice to vent out to someone who listened so intently to what I had to say.

Although that image of Fen going absolutely savage stuck to my head. I know it wasn't real but I've never really seen any pet go that feral before and it was starting to reach concerning levels. Maybe it would be better to talk it out with him, and get it off my chest.

“You were right actually,” I sighed as I tried to commit to this “I was having a nightmare, and it was about Fen. Someone who I thought was a friend.”

“Oh? And what makes you say that last part.” he raised a brow to my statement

I sat up and pulled my wayfinder closer “Well first things first, this won't work whenever I try to look for him. The wayfinder works based on your bond to who ever you're looking for. Second, I saw how desperate he was, how he was willing to abandon us to go be with his mom. Even though he was being manipulated he knew full well that he had to abandon us if he wanted to see his mom again. I understand that a pet-owner bond is sacred to us but still. Even though he tried to save me it still scares me to see how far Fen was willing to go and I can't help but feel so utterly betrayed because of it.” I placed the wayfinder back onto the side table

“I know it can be hard when your friend turns on you,” he said slowly after a few moments of silence “but try to see it from his point of view. What do you even know about him really?”

“But I know enough to say that he wouldn't do what he did to anyone. He isn't that kind of dog.” I argued remembering what he went through for Peanut and how he agreed to help us get our friends back when he had nothing to gain

“That doesn't guarantee he won't succumb to his weaknesses at times.” Guy said calmly as he picked up the wayfinder “We all have our flaws and there will be times when we fall to them. Now I'm not saying that you should dismiss Fen's actions without a thought I'm saying that you should try to understand why he did it. We can all fall to our weaknesses, it is not a question of if but of when. That is why we have friends. That is why he has you; and right now he needs you now more than ever.” He pulled out my hand and put the wayfinder in my palm and closed my fingers around it “Judging from how you talked about your friends I can tell that you care very deeply about each and every one of them. Understand Fox that not everything is set in black and white there may be things hidden from you. Besides, are you going to let someone's one single downfall define the entirety of who they are?”

Pulling my hand closer I unfurled my fingers to look at the green tinted star one more time. Now that I've finally had time to think about it, I did know next to nothing about Fen. He just showed up one day and we never really gave it a second thought outside of a pet who just got lost. I had to admit I was living a somewhat sheltered lifestyle, and there was only two times where I thought I'd never see my dad again. To have to willingly do that must be harsh especially when owners are generally seen as parents to majority of pets. Fen's actions still need to be answered for, but now I at least understand why he wanted to do what he did. It isn't easy to be separated from the ones you love and I can only imagine how Fen feels.

As I stared at the metal star, I almost mistook it for a flash of lightning, but when no thunder came I was suspicious. I held the wayfinder closer to my eyes and sure enough it pulsed weakly, but thanks to the darkness of the storm it was a little more visible. If the wayfinder glowed then that could only mean that Fen was close by.

“Fox?” Guy broke the silence once more “Is something wrong?”

I threw off the covers and stood in front of the window “I saw it Guy. The wayfinder's reacting,” I scanned the area with the wayfinder, but stopped when it was pointed at the mountain with five different faces carved onto its side “there; Fen's somewhere on that mountain.”

“Then I'll personally escort you to its peak. Your leg could still be healing, and if it is your leg isn't going to last long in this weather.” he gave me a thumbs up that came with a huge smile

Before long we found ourselves in the midst of the heavy rain that plagued this town throughout the night. It came as no surprise to see no one out and about at this hour, but what did surprise me was the fact that some lamp posts were already out of commission. No doubt the storm was already interfering with the power lines. Which only meant that this storm was getting worse.

After Guy and I made it through the village and up the steps of the mountain side we finally found ourselves at the peak of a mountain bearing five different faces. Here the winds were howling at their loudest trying to push the two of us off the side of the cliff. I strained my eyes looking for Fen, my wayfinder lead us here so he's got to be around here somewhere.

“Do you see anything!?” Guy yelled so he could be heard over the winds

I continued to scan the surrounding area “Nothing yet! Keep going!” I yelled back as I pointed the wayfinder where it glowed the brightest

When I found the brightest point the wayfinder would glow I tried to push towards it. Unfortunately because the winds kept battering the mountain peak I slipped and fell on my stomach.

“FEN!” I yelled through the winds “WHERE ARE YOU!?”

As I strained my eyes looking for Fen, lightning flashed and struck a nearby tree causing it to fall over. I would've panicked or tried to squirm my way to a safer spot but as the lightning flashed I was able to catch a silhouette farther up the monument. Luckily for me Guy had my back and acted fast. He intercepted the tree and, with one blow from his fist, broke the tree in half protecting the two of us in the process

“DON'T WORRY FOX YOU HAVE THE HIDDEN LEAF'S VERY OWN SUBLIME BLUE BEAST WATCHING YOUR BACK TONIGHT!” He yelled as he gave me a thumbs up and a wide smile

After returning the gesture I set my sights back to where I spotted the silhouette. Pointing my wayfinder in the silhouette's general direction I found it glowed stronger than before, confirming my suspicions that Fen was nearby. With Fen so close by I had to push myself even harder.

Slowly I paced myself forward making sure that I didn't have too much weight placed on my right leg. The closer I got to the silhouette the brighter my wayfinder had glowed. Once I was close enough I reached out to grab Fen and found something solid. It took a moment for my eyes to adjust and when they did I found it wasn't Fen I was holding onto but his keyblade which was protruding from the ground.

“Hey uh, quick question, is your mutt supposed to be doing that?” My eyes went wide as a chill rattled my spine

There I was, back at the scene that had taken place three days ago. Bill, Fen and the mysterious figure were standing on the edge of the portal as it shut closed with Fen baring his fangs and keyblade aggressively.

“Interesting,” the figure said, a hint of amusement tainting his voice “your heart is overruled by shadows, yet you continue to resist.” dark surges of energy continued to flash around Fen as his eyes flickered from vacant to vibrant “Not only that but you've thrown your greatest source of light over to your doomed friend.”

Bill above the public pool as his colors shifted to match his anger “YOU MUTT! YOU THINK YOU CAN LAY A FINGER ON ME AND GET AWAY WITH IT!?” Bill's hand increased to the size of the now empty pool “WELL GUESS AGAIN!”

Despite his burns Fen was able to side step Bill's attack and climb up his arm. Instead of going after Bill himself Fen stomped his foot firmly on Bill's eye and shot himself even higher as he aimed his darkened blade at the bubble hiding Grape away. From Fen's blade shot a steady stream of darkness that burst the bubble and released Grape from her prison. As the two fell Fen caught Grape in his arms and used himself to cushion the fall.

“Fen?” Grape asked while slowly coming back around “Is that you?”

“Run.” he said almost like a growl

Grape took a moment to survey the situation and what she was met with caused her to shake off her stupor and summon her blade “With your injuries you should be the one running. Go on I'll cover for you!”

“No.” Fen's right eye had gone completely vacant as he grabbed Grape's arm “You. Run.”

“I'm not leaving you here on your own!” she argued back

Fen's shadow darkened as if something was stirring inside it “I. Said. RUN!”

He pushed Grape back with enough force to put her out of the public pool and on her tail. Seeing that Fen was determined to keep her away Grape got up and ran the other direction, leaving Fen back with Bill and the hooded figure.

“THAT'S IT!” Bill shot up from the empty pool once more and made a bee line for Fen only to be stopped be the hooded figure

“Cipher!” shadows had tangled Bill and held him in place “That's enough of that, I wasted enough time on this miserable world. I got what I wanted, and you got yours.”

Bill snapped his fingers and the shadows untangled themselves “Oh so now you decide to make your move. What took you so long?”

“Fenrir's accomplices are of no concern to me, and now that I have what I want preparations must be made. I only delayed so I could see your arrogance get the best of you.” he said as he conjured a shadow portal that slowly lowered itself on Fen and the mysterious figure

“Not so fast hoodie.” Bill laughed as he held out his hands “I run the show now, and what I say goes!” a blast of energy fired off only to be met by a barrier with three triangles intersecting at the center

“Maybe next time Cipher.” the figure said slyly as the portal engulfed both him and Fen

In that instant the scene went dark as voices echoed about, some were familiar, some were alien to me. The ground had changed into a stain glass looking image of Fen drifting as if in eternal sleep while the surrounding area was engulfed in darkness as far as the eye can see.

'Feral.' came one of the echoing voices

'Don't let it get too close to you.'

'Did you see its fangs?'

'Someone call animal control!'

“Its too much.” That last voice caught my attention; “Please make it stop.” it was Fen's without a doubt “I can't hold it in much longer.”

Taking Fen's blade from its resting spot I searched the tower for any trace of Fen. Sure enough there he was huddled in the center of the tower with a ball of light wrapped tightly in his arms.

“Hmm, you look like a Fenrir to me, but I'll just nickname you Fen.” the orb said softly and then proceeded to go on for repeat

“Fen?” I walked towards him slowly as to not alarm him

A surge of dark energy coursed around him and caused the small orb of light in his embrace to shrink “I'll just nickname you Fen.” it now said

“Fen, are you alright?” I asked as I tried to ask but he remained in a trace as if the only thing he heard was the repeated audio of the orb

“I miss her, I want to see her again.” he said to himself clutching the ball tighter “I want to go home, I broke her heart, Will she ever forgive me?”

A second surge had now reduced the orb to only saying Fen's name over and over again. That voice must belong to Fen's mom, the moment he was adopted by her. Now it all made sense, why he wanted to see his mom so bad, why he was easily tricked into betraying us. Fen must've been shunned as a feral his entire life because of his fangs, and when his mom adopted him she was the only one who saw him for who he was. Being forced to give that up, must be causing him unimaginable pain. The sight was almost sad to watch, as Fen continued to resist and cling to his last remnant of light.

“Fen I~” I reached out to put my hand on his shoulder but a third and final surge of darkness had burst the ball Fen had wrapped in his arms

Before I could comfort him three darkened keyblades I had never seen before fell from the sky and surrounded Fen by piercing through the glass floor. Cuffs manifested on Fen's wrists with the links leading directly into his shadow. From there I could only watch in horror as Fen's shadow sprang to life and began to take the shape of the shadow wolf.

“Fen please!” I yelled as I readied Fen's keyblade in my hands “You have to fight it!”

If Fen heard me there was no sign that he did. Instead he raised his right hand to summon his darkened blade and picked up another one from the three right next to him with his left. The remaining two keyblades were then picked up by the shadow wolf as the two raised all four blades.

“You said you wanted to see your mom again right!?” I yelled one more time to try and snap him out of it “Then snap out of it. You've made mistakes; its fine, we all do. Please don't give in!”

Too late; in one swift stroke all four keyblades were brought down to the ground shattering the stain glass floor effortlessly. The resulting shock wave was strong enough to send me flying into the abyss. Through the shattered pieces of glass that seemed to rain down on the surrounding area I saw Fen turning his back on me and walking away.

“FEN!” I yelled one more time in an attempt to reach him

As if it all had been a dream my eyes had snapped open and I was back on the peak where I had first grabbed Fen's keyblade. The scene before me was completely different however, instead of a stormy sky I found one devoid of clouds with a clear view of the stars. I had taken a knee and had my hands gripped on an entirely new keyblade that was still pinned to the ground.

“Fox?” Guy placed a hand on my shoulder “Are you alright?”

“Y-yeah I'm fine. What happened while I was out?” I stood up to get a better look at the keyblade

“You grabbed that strange sword and then the storm suddenly stopped. You've been stuck in that trance like state for some time now.” he looked me over to see if I was alright “Where's Fen?”

I placed a hand on the keyblade “I only found a piece of him. It might not be a lot but its a start.” I placed another hand on the keyblade and studied its guard "Guy, thank you for everything that you've done for me, but I have to go. My friends need me now."

"I understand, and I wish you the best of luck.” he said giving me another of his signature thumbs up “Before you go, I think I can set you up with some gear that might come in handy."

“Thanks, I may need it.” I laughed before I returned my attention to the keyblade

The guard was oddly shaped even for a keyblade, while the blade was a plain silver color. I adjusted my grip on the blade and easily pulled it out of the ground. When the blade was finally out of its spot a strange barrage of sensations took place on my right hand. First was the feeling of running water passing through my palm and up my fingers, next was the sensation of my hand being in its own personal wind tunnel, and finally an electrifying aura wrapped itself around my hand. For each of these sensations the strange shaped keyblade's form changed and with its own pattern of sapphire, emerald and gold respectively.

"Now that i have this, it won't be long now guys." the grip i had on my keyblade tightened as i noticed my wayfinder emitting a bright green glow "Wait for me."

So Fox is going to learn how to use a keybalde?
This is going to be interesting.

A morphing keyblade. Very nice! It's not always easy to see a problem from someone else view, especially when they caused so much hurt. But now Fox has seen a bit as to why he did it.

Okay so I know its been i while since I've updated this story but I can't, no matter what i try, get the new chapter to flow with the previous. There are many things that i feel that might be the cause of this, but i don't want to bore anyone who was expecting a story so I'll just get to my point.

I revised chapter 26 to have a different outcome (by the time anyone reads this it should be finished). While i wished i could've done a training sequence with Fox, it will not flow properly. If you don't want to reread that chapter I'm putting a TL;DR section below listing what i did change, take out, or add in and also I'm putting this here because it should've gone with the new chapter but sadly didn't.

Image

TL;DR

-Instead of Lee its Might Guy who finds and helps Fox back on his feet
-All of Lee's lines, when transitioned into Guy's, have the same overall message but its written differently to match how i think Guy would say it
-A slight bit of more dialogue in the part where Guy convinces Fox to think about Fen's situation instead of instantly judging him
-There is an additional flash back with Fen, Bill and the mysterious figure
-Grape gets away and lives to fight another day
-A new picture is added there depicting the shadow wolf's new form
-I describe how the blade changes forms differently
-Fox, instead of training with Guy, now makes preparations to go back to gravity falls

hopefully after this i can make a brand new chapter

Well, sometimes a story just isn't working out, so making a few changes is sometimes necessary. Loving those two new images! Think I'll leave them alone, though. I wouldn't be able to do justice to them. They're great as they are. Good luck with the rest of the story!

Thanks again for the support and for the compliment. Since I've been stuck in that block I've been practicing art as a means of trying to get out of it, but it turns out slight adjustments were in order. As a result of this there are multiple drawings that i can't post yet for spoiler reasons. so hopefully i get to post them with the story they were meant to accompany

anyway so FINALLY this chapter is finished, and maaaaan did it take forever.
Also the music that inspired this chapter was The Encounter from Kingdom Hearts II https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZO1yinBXq4

Chapter 27
Weirdmaggedon

With the familiarly designed door waiting right in front of me, I took a few more breaths to calm myself down. It was a little unsettling to have to return to that strange world. A lot of things happened behind this door, some of which a little more disturbing that others. However staying here obviously wasn't going to help Grape, Fido or the people who have to live in that world, and eventually I'd have to go back in.

To give myself a little more time to breathe I decided to go over my inventory one more time. Guy had given me a second pouch, which I had fastened around my waist, to replace the one I lost. Inside it was a variety of weapons ninjas used, explosion tags, shuriken, kunai and the list goes on. Eventually my hand stumbled across Guy's red sash belt, that had an odd looking mark on the center of the metal plate.

“The Will of Fire is what gives hidden leaf ninjas the strength to continue fighting against all odds, building willpower and strength of character.” Guy's words echoed in my head “I see the will of fire burning within you Fox, and in my eyes that's enough for me to see you as one of us. Take it, and best of luck on your journey.”

“I'll wear it with pride.” I said to myself as I fastened it to my right arm

With my mental preparations aside I raised both my hands and from my right a cloud of smoke appeared and on from my left a ray of light shot out. Soon both my hands were weighed down by keyblades both mine and Fens. For some reason, after the events of that night Fen's keyblade stayed with me even if I could summon my own. Now it falls to me to return the blade back to him personally.

Cautiously I opened the door and stepped through. Oddly enough the door led me back to the haunted convenience store, and pretty much nothing has changed since I was last here. Food on the aisles were rotting, spoiled smoothies was still sprayed everywhere and the place still reeked like no body's business.

'Grape,' I focused my thoughts through my ring hoping to finally get a response 'Are you there? Please respond.'

It took a moment but her thoughts came through the ring sounding almost rattled just from hearing my thoughts 'F-Fox? Is that really you?'

'Yes its really me, now where are you?' I asked in a calm tone to not spook her out

'Where in the entire multiverse have you been!?' her voice broadcast in its full volume causing me to reach instinctively for my ears 'Do you know how many times I've tried to reach you over telepathic link?'

'I'm sorry that I've been away, but I'm here to help now. As for where I am, that would be the convenience store that Fen's portal dropped us off, when we first came to this world.' I thought as I made for the entrance

Grape took a moment to remember before responding 'You mean that haunted place?'

'That's the one.'

'Alright I'll meet you there and after that maybe you can help out with the raid.'

'Raid?'

'I'll tell you more about it in person. Oh and before I forget, do yourself a favor stay inside until I get there.'

Before I could even ask her what she meant I stepped outside, and what I was met with was only something I saw on death metal CD covers whenever I glossed over them at the store. Everything had taken on a red tint muting all the harmonious colors that used to paint the scenery. Monsters of every kind of deformity roamed the streets as if looking for their next meal. All while a giant tear in the sky loomed over the whole thing with a pyramid floating directly beneath it. If I squinted my eyes I saw Fido's bubble floating beneath the pyramid, it must've been moved there after Fen freed Grape.

As I gazed over the nightmarish scenery a thought had occurred to me. Fen can never find out about what happened on this world because of what he did. If he ever found out, the guilt would destroy him from the inside, and that dog's already been through enough.

Catching me completely off guard was a red spotlight beaming down on me from a eyeball that somehow had bat wings to keep it aloft. Obviously it wasn't a good sign so I turned on my heel and let my gold patterned blade fly. As it tore through the open air I was able to catch a glimpse of it enveloping itself in an aura of lightning before colliding with the eyeball and sending it flying.

Unfortunately, I wasn't given time to celebrate as three more came from the forest and two more came from the town. For each eyeball I had a kunai at the ready and carefully plotted my aim. Of course since it was my first time handling this sort of weapon I missed more times than I cared to admit.

“HEADS UP!” I breathed a sigh of relief as Grape burst through the tree tops wielding both her blades at the ready

Shifting her momentum mid-flight Grape managed to make herself rotate, allowing her to add more force to her keyblade the moment she threw it. While taking advantage of the height she was in Grape brought her off handed blade down on one eyeball as her keyblade took care of a second one.

“Dog, you don't know how good it feels to see a familiar face again.” I rushed to her side as I readied Fen's keyblade for the next wave of eye-bats

“I thought I told you to stay inside!” she yelled before her eyes fell on Fen's keyblade “where did you~ you know what now's not the time.” She resummoned her keyblade and offered me its hilt “Grab on!” she announced as more eye-bats came to replace the ones we dispatched

At first I was confused as to why she told me to hold on to her keyblade, but a third wave of eye-bats flying in was all it took for my hand to reach for Grape's keyblade. Without so much as a warning Grape folded her legs and leaped into the air taking me along for the ride.

“How are we doing this!?” I asked as we easily surpassed the height of the convenience store twice over

“Its the keyblade! Don't know how, don't care how!” she yelled as we landed back on the ground and took to the air a second time, only to slightly dodge the red beam that shot from an eye-bat turning the tree it hit into stone “You may want to take care of those.”

With my one free hand I reached into my pouch and pulled out a set of shuriken. I tried to focus my aim, but the constant movement of going up and down was making it three times harder to aim than when I was on the ground. The stars that I threw hit several things, the tire of an abandoned car the wall of an already collapsed building, and out of those only one hit its intended mark, causing the eye-bat to crash into an unstable looking fire hydrant.

Seeing all the rushing water gave me an idea. Once more I called for my blade, while specifically picturing the golden patterned version. In less than a second smoke gathered from my hands before forming the golden patterned blade. When I took aim once again, I wasn't aiming for the eye-bats instead I aimed for the rushing water.

The moment I let go of my blade the same sequence of events happened like before. Lightning began to build up around the blade as it flew and the moment it impacted the hydrant electrified water began to rain down on the eye-bats.

“Wait, you have a keyblade too?” Grape asked as we landed safe and sound “You seriously have a lot to catch me up on.”

After all that jumping and focusing on moving targets my mind was out of sorts. The sky was spinning and I had the sudden feeling of weariness weigh down my shoulders.

“I may need a minute. Why don't you start with what happened before and after Fen released you.” I said as I struggled to keep my lunch down

Grape looked like she was going to ask how I knew but as I used the tree as support to keep myself from hurling she decided to roll with it “Well if I had to start I guess it would be after that last telepathic call we had. I had just cut the connection and restarted my last hour of searching for Fen, when out of nowhere I was attacked by that hooded figure. To be frankly honest most of what I remember from that fight was a blur. The only injury I found on my body was this.”

Grape showed me her forearm and it had two pierce marks that didn't go all the way in, only reach deep enough to draw a small, inconsequential amount of blood “It isn't poisonous otherwise I would've kicked the bucket long before this point, and it isn't from a vampire. I ate an entire head of garlic just to be sure, and aside from the weird lingering taste in my mouth, nothing.” from her ring she pulled out a canteen of water and slumped her weight down next to me, patting my back as she did

“When I woke up, I was in free fall, Fen caught me and took the full front of the fall all by himself, and I have to admit, when I looked into his eyes, something seemed off.” she offered me her canteen to which I refused “He was cornered, out numbered and was exhausted beyond what I've seen him capable of.”

“Yeah, I know.” the image of Fen struggling to stay sane was pretty much burned into my memory at this point

“After I...” she struggled with her words “abandoned Fen, I spent the next day hiding out in the forest in a small cabin called the Mystery Shack. No one talked to me, no one bothered to even realize I was there, but to them I was just another face in the crowd of refugees. They didn't have time to care. Eventually these kids came in spouting plans about over throwing the one who started this whole mess. The little girl even managed to convince me not all hope was lost. She was sorta like Peanut in her own off beat way I couldn't help but smile and agree to help. Fido's still missing, so once we get him back we can continue our search for Fen. The shack was actually getting ready to raid the Fearamid when you called.”

She wiped her eyes, still a little bit shaken by the past few days “Alright I spilled my beans, now its time for you to do the same.”

After Grape finished I decided to take a moment to get my story straight. Because of Fen's keyblade I saw some dark secrets he's been keeping from us, his mother, his betrayal, his inner struggles. I didn't feel like I had the right to blurting out something he was ready to share with the rest of us. Yet at the same time Grape and, in the foreseeable future, Fido did have a right to know what happened here. For the time being I decided I would wait delay it since Fen was the one who should be telling them these things.

Before I could explain my side of the story to Grape, she covered my mouth and then put her finger to her lips. At that moment I strained my ears to pick up whatever Grape was being wary of. A few seconds passed and the ground shook followed by the sound of giant footsteps.

Carefully we made our way to a nearby collapsed building and stuck close to its walls. With each step the giant got closer and closer, and once it stopped both Grape and I took advantage of the moment to sneak a peek at the monster that was so dangerously close to us.

What I saw both horrified me and confused me since what I saw was a giant wooden statue of what looked to be Paul Bunyan, complete with an axe gripped tightly in its arms. The way it moved it looked like it could be any ordinary person strolling through town. Except he was more that a few stories tall and his eyes glowed a sinister yellow with his smile that was absurdly unsettling.

The sheer randomness of a Paul Bunyan monster just broke my ability to process thoughts at the moment “Is that a~

“Yes. Apparently there was a weirdness wave that caused a variety of effects to different objects. It brought that statue to life and now it just wanders through town with that creepy looking smile.” Grape whispered back while shivering once her eyes found the smile

“How?” I asked still unsatisfied by the answer

“Look around here that is normal now, so deal with it alright.”

At that moment the statue turned as if it heard our voices causing us to retreat back to the cover of the collapsed building “Did it just hear us? How in the world did it hear us from all the way over there?” I asked as Grape held her breath

I decided to take a chance and lean out to check if the giant was still there. The moment I did though, the giant had somehow gotten down on its knees to get a better view of the two of us.

“RUN!” I yelled as the statue raised its axe

In that split second of a moment Grape tackled me as she pressed the guard of her keyblade on my shoulder. Because of that the two of us were flung a little but father, just barely avoiding the blade of the axe.

The statue noticed that we managed to escape its attack, and got back up to continue its onslaught. However Grape and I had fallen back into formation with her hopping the two of us around barely avoiding its giant hands while I was left for whatever good it did was to throw a set of shuriken aimed at its eyes.

“Got any other bright ideas?” Grape yelled through the wind in our faces

I strained my eyes to look for any possible weaknesses but noticed my shuriken embedded into the brow of the statue “It may be alive but I think its still made of wood.”

“That's all I needed to hear.” she said coming in for another landing “I'm going to need both my hands for this one.” I nodded in acceptance before she leaped into the air once more

After dodging the statue's attempts to grab her Grape finally made it to the giant's torso and brought her two blades together. The resulting clash of blades produced a spark of purple fire that was set to blaze to life. However the giant noticed the fire and began to pat down on it causing Grape to switch to another area to try again.

This was going to take far too long, and by the time Grape did any real damage she'd be far too exhausted to deal the finishing blow. I rifled through the tool bag guy had given me to search for anything that might come in handy. Eventually I happened upon my stash of explosion tags. These things were designed to be tied to kunai so that they could be thrown and detonated when exposed to fire.

Working as fast as I possibly could I tied the tags to whatever kunai I had left, and got into position. With Grape handling the giant's attention I aimed the kunai at the joint areas so just in case it does survive the onslaught it won't be able to move. I took great care into planting the kunai into the joints, if I missed I would waste an explosion tag or worse hit Grape as she zipped by. Luckily because the statue was so large it wasn't hard to hit majority of the marks I pinpointed.

“Grape!” I yelled as she landed on a nearby building “I placed explosives on the statue they react to heat so when you heat them up get out of there as soon as you can.”

“Gotcha!” she replied as she took off again

Locating the one I landed on its elbow she immediately went to work and brought her two blades together once more. The similar sparks shot out and Grape bailed out. Unfortunately the explosion radius was larger than I had anticipated with the shock wave taking out the giant's arm but causing Grape to spiral out of control mid-jump. With the use of my instincts I was able to predict her trajectory and catch her before she hit the ground too hard. Surprisingly she was lighter than I had anticipated and only pushed me back slightly because of added momentum.

Taking advantage of the giant needing to recover from the blast I escorted Grape to a nearby store and set her down gently. Once I made sure her injuries weren't too serious, I instantly made my way back to the outside. That giant was fixated on us, so if I could get it to focus on me alone I could give Grape the time she needed to recover.

“HEY!” I yelled as I began to flail my arms “YOUR... uh... PANCAKES AREN'T THAT GOOD!”

I seemed to have gotten his attention since he started to make his was towards me. In my mind my gears started to twist and churn out idea after idea. The bombs I planted do serious damage, but are too dangerous to detonate the way Grape does it. If I wanted to detonate those paper bombs I need to hit them from a safe distance with something that's as good as fire. My mind instantly went to my keyblade in its golden pattern. Except hitting such a small target at this range with my skills level isn't going to happen soon especially not if it keeps moving the way it does right now.

Unfortunately I had no choice. The giant slowly started to pick up his pace almost as if breaking out into a sprint. To meet his challenge I summoned my blade in its desired pattern and took aim. My first target was the one on the right thigh, since it seemed to be moving the least compared to everything else.

With a calm breath I pulled my arm back and let the blade fly. The blade enveloped itself in a veil of lightning but failed to hit its mark. Pulling my arm back once more I summoned another blade and tried again, only to fail. By that point the giant was on top of me and I had to leap to the side just to barely avoid getting crushed under a giant shoe. Overshooting its mark the giant skidded to a halt only to stand back up and try once more.

I tried to summon my blade once more but a familiar weariness overshadowed me. It was similar to the sensation I had when Grape was jumping us around. However the giant didn't look like it was going to wait for me to recover as it began to pick its pace up once more. Desperately I called out to my keyblade crying mentally for it to appear.

Instead of smoke, what I got instead was a ray of light the manifested Fen's keyblade. Out of confusion I gripped the blade and it instantly riddled itself with cracks in the material. Not a second later and the blade shattered in my hands allowing the now fragmented keyblade to spiral around me before evaporating into light to be shinned brightly on me.

Instantly my weariness was replaced with a new sense of vigor as my keyblade finally responded to my call, along with its other two patterns. Instead of thinking about it too much I grabbed two of the three keyblades and hurled them before reaching out to my third one and hurling it to accompany the other two.

What happened next was complete and utter chaos, every time an elemental keyblade hit something solid, it released a burst of elemental energy to keep itself ricocheting even more. The result was water being sprayed everywhere only to be either turned into ice by the wind or carry the lightning even further. Because of the blades bouncing off the surround buildings and the statue itself, the giant found himself locked into place by the unending barrage of lightning, water and wind. It was as if the giant had found himself in his own personal maelstrom.

Since the water extended the reach of the lightning, it was only a matter of time before the lightning spread to one of the explosion tags. It was almost like watching clock work, watching each explosion being set off by exposure to lightning. Eventually all that was left of the giant was its torso, head and left arm.

With their work done for now the keyblades found their way back to me pinned one after another into the pavement in front of me. Except all their patterns had been stripped away leaving nothing but their silver base. With the threat now gone i let myself crumple into the dirt, the adrenaline rushing through me finally seeming to calm down a little.

“Didn't know you could do that.” Grape approached me as she clutched her arm

I laughed, as I grabbed one blade “Well I didn't do it alone,” I looked at the other two blades as they disappeared in a cloud of smoke “I had a little help from a friend.”

“Well we may need that in the up coming fight. Fate of this world and all.” She slumped herself down next to me “Also you still owe me a bean spilling session remember?”

“That I do. There are some things that you should know.” I looked at my plain silver keyblade and concentrated a little more to return it to a sapphire pattern along with its accompanying form

“Although we may want to do it back at the Mystery Shack.” she stood up gingerly as she offered me her hand

End of Chapter 27

Now that Fox knows how to handle himself in battle i guess i could put this little tidbit here now:
When deciding how each character would fight in this series i decided to pair their fighting style with a battle mechanic from Kingdom Hearts

Fen - black and white magic - Literally any Kingdom Hearts game
Fido - various blocks (i.e: renewal block, poison block, link block etc) - various KH games
Grape - Flow motion - Dream Drop Distance
Fox - Shot Locks - Birth by Sleep

I've barely played 3D, so I know little of the mechanics of flow motion. Never played BBS, so don't know anything about that.

Still, interesting chapter, and Fox has access to four keyblades? Awesome!

I love all these little Gravity Falls references.
Somehow the two managed to become even more awesome than before.

Out of all the battle mechanics I've played so far Shot locks are one of my favorites cause it is so satisfying when you his max Focus, plus all the cool little animations that happen when you do it.

In preparation for some of the worlds i planned for them to visit, i watched a few select episodes for each, while Gravity falls I just watched the finale a couple of times to get an idea

I wish i could play it sadly i don't have a PS4 or anything that can emulate it, though i do plan on watching lets plays of it in the future

Since progress is a little but slow on the current chapter I decided while practicing my sketching I'd try drawing an image i had in my head.

Image

As for the chapter itself I'd say I'm about halfway through it. Just need to write the ending half so nearly done i guess

Looks good, and really sad to see. Also, did you just erase sections to get glass glare? Pretty good!

I had seen ur fic for a long while but just recently got time to read it. It's quite good in my opinion; the only world I was not too familiarised with was RWBY (but I got its wikia on had), and I had to say the way u use each world elements in the story is one of the best I'd seen, congrats on that!

I decoded the cryptograms on the chapters 24&25, and man they sure are interesting. (Although, with the capital letters I was expecting a keyword for Vigenere not a Caesar d:)

Fenrir, Ragnorok and the Valknut; we are getting pretty Nordic, aren't we? ñwñ

My question about 0.2 it's 'cuz I want to know if I could be a little spoiler-ish, about 0.2 itself and JP Unchained χ[chi] (is nothing big, meaningful or important tbh; just a couple of songs and an enemy). But I don't want to ruin anything for u P=
So tell me if is u're ok with talk about those, plz

Great fic and nice art to complement it; keep up the great work! Will be waiting for next chapters =)

Hey thanks it takes a little while to research the elements in each of the world and to incorporate it so that there are as little plot holes as possible. Luckily i like to dive into the lores of each world so it isn't too much of a chore, and I'm glad to see that you like it

So i guess its fine about Unchained but for 0.2 I'd rather see the let's play first

Overall thanks for your support and hopefully i don't disappoint with that here's chapter 28

Edit: Almost forgot if you haven't seen the ending to Gravity Falls as a series there are some major spoilers ahead. Proceed at your own risk

Chapter 28
Take Back the Falls

Something was wrong, completely and horribly, wrong. Everything was in my head was in flux, thoughts and emotions cluttering together waging war on each other to be the dominant one. I felt angry, sad, hate, fear and everything in between. However with none of these feelings coming out to be dominant all I was left with was a feeling of emptiness.

I tried not to focus on it too much, but when everything around me was dulled down into grays and blacks there was nothing I could latch onto to keep these warring emotions and thoughts at bay. All I could really make out was a mountainous landscape with its trees and leaves frozen in place, as if time had stopped moving.

“Stop here Fenrir,” the same voice still as cold as ice commanded me “Look there.” I wanted to run, punch him in the face, yet I obeyed and found a statue of a large well built Jackal wielding a staff with a hook at the end in a defensive position “You already know what to do.”

Without another word my keyblade appeared in my right hand as I held it up to the statue's chest. Quickly, I pierced the stone causing cracks to form all over the carving before crumbling into dust. The only thing left of the statue was a glowing white orb that floated its way over to the hooded figure in order for him to contain it in a veil of shadows.

“Well done, that should be the last of it.” he said now pointing to a distant peak obscured by fog “Now, I think its high time you met your predecessor.”

Again, I said nothing and complied obediently. Why didn't I rebel, why didn't I do anything, and why did I feel like the worst form of living being after witnessing that? I felt strangely guilty about destroying that statue but I didn't know why.

“Fox,” a welcome break in the silence filled my ears “Fox, wake up. FOX!”

Just like that my emotions fell in line and my thoughts became tame. Everything was back the way it should've been inside my head. All I had to do was open my eyes to rejoin the world of the living.

“C'mon Fox everyone's starting to stare.” Grape said pulling at my arm to get me to stand up “Besides aren't you K-9 officers trained to be up at the crack of dawn or something?” I felt a sudden loss of warmth followed by a rush of cool air “Whoa, why is this here?”

Slowly my eyes opened to find Fen's keyblade resting innocently in my right hand. After dismissing it I stood up to see I was really back at the Shack and not in some dulled out black and white world. Everything was as I left it the night before, weird cow monsters, gnomes and unicorns. For some reason this was normal around here.

“S-Sorry Grape, I was just having a weird dream. Did something happen?” I asked as I gave myself a good stretch

With a roll of her eyes she shoved a plate of eggs into my hands “Hurry up and eat would ya. We're about ready to mobilize and you're still sleeping. I'll be waiting up stairs alright so don't take too long.”

“Y-Yeah, I'll meet you there.” I sighed as I slowly dug into my plate

As Grape disappeared behind a set of stairs, I couldn't help but think about my dream. I knew better, and that wasn't any ordinary dream. Raising my hand I called out to Fen's keyblade and had it appear in front of me. Fen gave me his blade to save me when he could've used it to fight off the darkness in his heart. It now falls to me to return this blade to him.

With my plate finished, I decided to join Grape on the rooftop. Grape already knows that Fen's been captured, and that he's been possessed by the shadow wolf. What she doesn't know is that Fen's responsible for all of this. I didn't feel like I had the right to be explaining Fen's backstory to someone else.

Before I could finish climbing the stairs to the roof, the ground shook beneath me as machinery hummed to life with metallic symphony. Fearing the worst I doubled my pace and pushed through the screen door.

“What's going on!? Are we under attack?” I said with keyblade in hand

Grape laughed while patting my shoulder, a look of pride gleaming in her eyes “Nope, we're going on the offensive.”

The ground beneath us shook once more before tilting sideways, we seemed to be getting taller. Rushing over to the edge I found that the shack had pushed out two mismatched robotic legs from the ground as well as two equally mismatched arms from its side. A roar called my attention to the side to see a T-Rex fastened onto that side of the arm.

For the second time that week my brain flat lined “Is that a~”

“A T-REX INCASED IN PEANUT BRITTLE!” Grape cheered with a redheaded girl wielding an axe “EAT YOUR HEART OUT BILL WE CAN BE JUST AS WIERD!”

I facepalmed, why haven't I learned by now? In this world asking questions is a moot point. Your answer is either going to bring out more questions or is just better not to think about. I would very much like to keep my ability to sleep through the night intact after this ordeal.

The robot, contrary to what I expected, was a little faster than I thought it would be. Granted the Shack was walking at the speed of an old granny driving down the freeway but we were fortunate enough to only have a relatively short distance to cover. It didn't take long for the shack to reach the outskirts of the town where a barren wasteland of nothingness stood underneath Bill's Fearamid, and even shorter time passed to get to the pyramid itself.

“One last time, are we all ready to go?” a nearby record player's horn sounded off with the voice of a preteen boy

A collective scream of agreement came from the entire shack before the T-Rex hand punched through the front door to reveal Bill and a set of monsters drinking and dancing like this was some sort of party.

“WHAT!? I just fixed that door!” came Bill's response after he spit out soda from his eye “So the mortals are trying to fight back huh? Adorable. HENCHMANIACS YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO!”

At his command all of the partying monsters dropped everything they were doing and increased in size before coming down to fend us off. Soon the shack and the horde of monsters were set in a stand off while Bill watched amused in his chair. Grape and I already had our keyblades at the ready while everyone else rushed to their stations inside of the Mystery Shack.

“This was a bad idea.” came an old voice from the horn

“ATTACK!” yelled the leader of the monsters causing them to charge in all at once

From one glance you could tell there wasn't any form of a plan in their attack. All the monsters rushed the shack one by one with no specific tactics in mind. This served us well since they came at a manageable pace. After the shack knocked aside two monsters Grape leapt into action and latched onto one of the monster incoming with her keyblade. As a second tried to grab Grape off the monster I readied my keyblade in its emerald form and hurled it. Winds picked up around the blade causing it to spin faster and gain more power to knock back the monster's hand. Grape noticed the monster I delayed for her and latched onto it instead while the previous monster tried to shake her off, not knowing she wasn't there anymore.

While the Shack was defending itself against various other monsters a nightmarish looking baby demon sent a swarm of eye-bats to surround the shack and slowly turn it into stone. I wasn't given time to think, instead I brought out Fen's keyblade and brought it down on the wooden floor, instantly shattering it. A rush of familiar energy filled my body as my keyblade manifested itself in all three of its forms.

One by one I grabbed onto the blades and sent them flying in different directions. Since the eye-bats were swarming around the Shack, it didn't matter where I threw it, the keyblades still hit their mark and continued to bounce around freezing, shocking and cutting through any eye-bat dumb enough to still be flying around the shack.

“BRACE FOR IMPACT!”

Suddenly the Shack jerked side ward as a large loaf like monster was rammed into the Shack. With its feet planted firmly into the ground the shack was able to stop the monster in its tracks while still keeping its arms around it. I summoned back my three keyblades all of them in their emerald form and had them at the ready.

“GRAPE!” I yelled to her as she landed back on the roof “LIGHT 'EM UP!”

She looked to the monster still caught in the Shack's grip and grinned. First she jumped onto the monster's back and then brought her two swords together to create a purple spark that eventually ignited into a flame. Once Grape's spark was strong enough I let loose all three of the keyblades to create a whirl wind and fan the purple flames already starting to consume the monster.

“EVERYONE MAXIMUM POWER!”

Soon the humming of the Shack's internal machinery increased in volume followed by the whistle of a steam pipe. With the added energy the Shack lifted the flaming monster of the ground and was able to hurl it clear over the mountain, leaving the Shack victorious. With all monsters beaten to the side everyone was giving off their own cries of joy, but all of that was cut short the moment I saw Bill come out of the hole we left in his Fearamid.

Once he was close enough he raised his fist, and like what he did with Fen, it increased in size till it was eventually bigger than the shack. I wasn't even allowed a few moments to brace for impact, he just instantly slammed his fist down on the Shack while all I could really do was close my eyes. All I could hear was the echoing sound of Bill's fist making impact. When I opened my eyes I found that the Shack was covered in a blue dome littered with strange symbols randomly spread around it.

“WHAT!?” Bill yelled in frustration as he lifted his fist “NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!” Multiple arms sprouted from Bill's sides as he proceeded to launch multiple attacks on the Shack

No matter how many times Bill attacked the Shack, the dome around it held strong. Seeing this as an opportunity I gathered whatever energy was left over from Fen's keyblade and called forth all three of my keyblades back into position. Grape joined in too and struck her keyblade and her sword together to create purple sparks that eventually grew into a beating flame. Simultaneously Grape and I launched our keyblades aimed at Bill's eye and soon an explosion of water, lightning, wind and fire was followed by Bill's screaming.

“MY EYE!” he yelled in pain as he covered the slot that used to be his eye “Do you have any idea how long it takes to regenerate that!?”

My three keyblades landed right in front of me and like before two of them crumbled into nothing while the remaining one lost its pattern. I couldn't revel in our small victory as the rush of energy I had slowly dwindled into nothing, soon I could barely keep myself standing.

“NOW'S OUR CHANCE!” a nearby horn announced “RESCUE TEAM MOVE OUT!”

A few short moments following that announcement the monster head on the back of the Mystery Shack shot out a handful of people all aimed at the door of the Fearamid.

“C'mon Fox, that includes us.” Grape said as she helped me to my feet and handed me her keyblade

With a mighty leap Grape had us over Bill and on our way towards Fido's bubble. That last attack really took a lot out of me, sure Fen's keyblade assisted with the energy it gave upon breaking, but still I used up a lot of energy. Fortunately for me it didn't take more than two jumps till we were finally underneath Fido's bubble.

“So how does this work again?” She asked once we were on the ground “A keyblade can open any lock right?”

I nodded slightly “Yeah, just concentrate, point the keyblade at the bubble and the rest should take care of itself.”

With a nod Grape held her blade tip pointed at Fido's bubble and took a deep breath to gather her concentration. Soon a ring of light appeared around the tip of Grape's keyblade before firing off at the bubble in the form of a concentrated beam. Instead of bursting the bubble like what Fen's keyblade did, the light bounced off harmlessly.

“Well, so much for that idea.” Grape sighed in frustration

“Bill must've strengthened the seal. Makes sense, he just left the bubble underneath his hideout.” I stood up and concentrated on both my keyblade and Fen's “Maybe if we do this together.”

Grape readied her blade once again this time I added my own as well as Fen's to the mix. The process repeated itself as three rings of light formed around our keyblades. Once we fired the beam the three lights interwove with each other to create a much more powerful and concentrated light. This time instead of bouncing off the beam of light pierced through the bubble and burst it instantly.

“I got him.” Grape said leaping into the air to intercept Fido as he fell

As soon as Grape landed with Fido in her arms I made my way over to check on him “Fido, Fido can you hear me? Please wake up.”

It was slow at first but I saw his eyes crumple “Ugh my head. Did I accidentally drink too much orange soda again?” his eyes finally opened and I instantly saw his pupils widen before he covered them with his hands “Please tell me I'm dreaming. That this is all some extremely detailed nightmare.”

“Hate to say it but that isn't the case here buddy.” Grape said with a laugh

“How are you feeling,” I asked as I helped him stand “and how much do you remember?”

Once Fido was standing on his own two feet a soft green light flashed around him “Its coming back in pieces. My aura, my semblance, Fen, the shadow wolf.” in that instant his eyes snapped wide open as held out his hand “OH MY DOG!”

A large shield appeared in intercept a the Shack-tron's leg before it could even land on us. As the Shack-tron's leg continued to weigh down on Fido's shield he was visibly starting to struggle in maintaining it before it started lighting up. Speaking from previous experiences Fido's shields take the blow and explode with kinetic energy afterward. Judging from the intensity of the light, it was going to be a big one.

Quickly Grape and I grabbed Fido by the shoulders and lugged him as far away from the shield as fast as we could. Only a few seconds and the shield had fully lit itself up and exploded in a flash of brilliant light. The shock wave of the explosion was strong enough to send us flying into a ditch where we were able to ride out the rest of the explosion relatively safe from harm.

I struggled to move, but it looked like the blast knocked out both Fido and Grape. Still they don't look too hurt, and maybe I can resuscitate them. As I moved over to them I felt a string of arms wrap around my arms and legs as it lifted me up and proceeded to do the same with Fido and Grape.

“Well, well, well,” Bill said as he lifted the three of us to his eye level “if it isn't dog-tags. Nice of you to join us. Like what I've done with the place? I certainly like what you've done with yourself. It's going to come in really handy cause I really need a favor.” he said as I continued to struggle

“What makes you think we're going to help you?” I growled under through my teeth

He laughed a little harder “What the three of you and your little resistance?” he tightened his grip on all of our bonds, even to the point where I saw Fido's green aura fade away due to the pressure “You fool, I own this world, this dimension. I can give you anything you want.”

“No you can't, I saw you, that hooded figure, he~” I didn't get to finish as the grip squeezed the breathe out of my lungs

“So you saw that huh? I guess I'll keep you three around for now. I might be able to change your mind somehow.” He said as he took us to the inside of the Fearamid to see whatever was left of the resistance fighting among themselves

“This is just to perfect,” Bill said with a laugh “don't you brainiacs know that the Zodiac doesn't work if you don't all hold hands?”

Bill snapped his fingers and everyone in the room except for a pair of old men, Mable and Dipper zoned out and were levitated. With a second snap they were all turned into posters that hung directly behind Bill.

“Looks like its too late for your friends Stanford!” Bill pointed to the ground and a pyramid shaped cage formed around the younger pair of twins “but you can still save your family. Last chance! Tell me how to take Weirdmageddon global and I'll spare the kids!”

“Don't do it great uncle Ford!” Dipper screamed through the bars of his cage

“Yeah, Bill makes bad deals!” agreed Mable

“Don't you toy with me shooting star!” Bill yelled as he moved in closer to the cage “I. See. EVERYTH~” Bill was interrupted by Mable spraying a can of paint into his eye

“NOT AGAIN! WHY!? I JUST REGENERATED THAT EYE!?” he screamed as he rubbed his eye

With Bill distracted the hands he used to wrap around me, Fido, Grape and the two old men untangled themselves and allowed us to fall to the floor. Dipper then took out a flashlight and shinned it on the cage instantly making it large enough so that they could slip through the bars.

“Save yourselves! Run We'll take care of Bill!” he yelled as both he and Mable ran into a distant corridor

“No Kids!” Dipper's uncle Ford yelled as he tried to give chase

Before we could do anything an invisible force had everyone by the neck “NOT SO FAST! YOU FIVE WAIT IN HERE!” Bill set all of us down roughly and created two pyramid cages, one for the pair of elderly men and one for the three of us “I'VE GOT SOME CHILDREN I GOTTA MAKE INTO CORPSES! SEE YA REAL SOON!”

“NO! KIDS!” the two of them yelled as the banged on the cage doors

While I took my time to breathe in properly now that Bill's grip was gone the two elderly men started talking with one another, from this distance I couldn't make out what they were saying, but I didn't need to know that right now. I had the chance right now and I decided to take the time to check up on Grape and Fido. Both of them were fine no serious injuries and they might even come around in just a few moments.

With that in mind, I needed to get everyone in this room out of here. There's no telling how long Bill would be gone so I had to act fast. With a clear mind I beckoned to my keyblade and had it appear in my hands. However before I could gather my concentration on of the elderly men stopped me.

“WAIT!” he yelled “Is that a keyblade? Are you keyblade wielders?”

Why was this so important all of a sudden “Y-Yes all of us are.”

“That's perfect.” he said removing his coat “Stanley, swap clothes with me.”

“Ford what are you planning?” the other man asked just as clueless as I was

“Just trust me,” Ford continued to swap clothes with Stanley “You there, um dog person, do your best to wake up your friends. The keyblade has the unique ability to open any lock given that you can overpower the magic on the lock. When I give you the signal I want you to seal off my brother's mind.”

With no other options open to me I nodded in agreement as I tried to get both Grape and Fido to wake up “Guys, guys please wake up.”

“F-Fox? Is that you?” Fido asked slowly coming out of his daze

I helped him stand up once more as I brought him closer to Grape “Yeah its me, now help me with Grape. We have something important to do.”

“Don't bother,” she said grumpily “I was planning to play dead so maybe Bill wouldn't do anything drastic to me.”

“Alright Ford, we're all up.” I said looking over to the second cage to see the two old men flawlessly exchanging identities

“That's good.” he said adjusting his Fez “Now I'm going to erase Bill while he's inside my brother's mind. He might try to escape while in Stanley's mind so I want the three of you to seal him inside so he can't. Is everyone understood?”

I nodded and looked over to Grape, who nodded, and Fido, who looked a little confused but still nodded. Soon after we had come to an agreement thunderous footsteps could be heard as Bill neared closer.

“I've got the kids!” he said in a singing tone “I think I'm gonna kill one of them now just for the heck of it!” Bill blinked and his pupil took the shape of a pine tree “Eeny,” Bill blinked again and this time his pupil took the shape of a shooting star “meeny, miny.”

“STOP!” Stanley said taking up Ford's voice “I surrender.”

“Good choice.” Bill said flatly as he dropped the twins as well as the cages containing us and the two elderly twins

“My only condition, is that you let my brother and the kids go.” Stanley continued

Bill held out his hand and it immediately caught blue flames “Its a deal!”

Stanley, without hesitation grabbed on to Bill's hand which caused Bill's body to turn into stone and fall straight to the floor. Moments passed without a single word being uttered, or even the slightest amount of sounds. Yet all three of us already knew what we were meant to do.

Fido, Grape and me took our position next to Ford who pulled out an odd looking gun, no doubt what he's going to use to erase his brother's mind. With my keyblade in hand all four of us took aim at Stanley's head. Light gathered at the tips of our blades and when we fired the combined light was too intense to see through.

“Keep going!” Ford said as the light only got brighter “Relent even the slightest bit, and Bill might escape before the process is complete.”

While keeping my eyes shut I didn't dare move my arms or think about anything else. All I could do was keep my mind clear, my arms straightened and my eyes closed. Eventually a loud bang sounded off as a flashing purple light swept across the room knocking me out instantly.

Before I knew it, the world of blacks, whites and grays surrounded me yet again. Yet something was different, my emotions were no longer in flux, my head was somewhat clearer, and most importantly I had control over my actions.

My first instinct was to look for Fen, but I didn't have very far to look since the hooded figure passed right through me as if I wasn't there while Fen followed him obediently with his coat and collar missing, several scratches and unattended wounds located on his body. The hooded figure lead Fen to a door with the same symbol he conjured to protect himself painted onto the wall above the door as two torches lined it.

“I am to go undisturbed in there,” the hooded figure demanded “understood?”

To my shock and horror Fen lowered himself to a bow “Yes, Master. None shall pass through my gaze.”

As soon as the hooded figure disappeared behind the doors Fen summoned his darkened blade in his right hand and raised it high. He then instantly brought it down to shatter it like what he normally does but instead of his books coming to his side three orbs were formed from the shattered remains of Fen's keyblade. One wore a witch's hat and had a wand in front of it, one wore a blindfold and had claws and wings to decorate it, while the last one had a crown and a scythe. Choosing the last of the orbs Fen grabbed the crowned orb and held it closer to his chest.

From that orb a cocoon of darkness sprouted to envelope Fen in its shadow. A few seconds passed before a large blade pierced through the shell and tore away at any remaining pieces of the cocoon. Fen looked different, his neck bore the collar King used while a cape hung from it and to top it all off Fen had a crown sitting on his head. Slamming the keyblade directly behind him Fen took watch and for a moment it looked like he spotted me. Luckily for me, the moment our eyes met everything faded into black as a similar voice tried to wake me up.

“Yo, poindexter. Hey C'mon. Ya know if you're just going to sit there and do nothing I might as well steal from your rations in your ring.”

I felt everything fall back into place the grass underneath me, the firmness of a oak tree supporting my back. The only thing left to do now was just to open my eyes, hopefully to a world free of Weirdmageddon.

I took it slow so the moment my eyes fully opened I was prepared for warm sunlight. Even though it was only a day, it felt incredibly comforting to see the afternoon sun once more.

“Fox! You're awake!” Fido rushed over once he saw me from behind a tree

Spo instantly got off my hand and brushed the whole thing off “And I clearly wasn't trying to take any food from your ring or anything.”

“Fido, Grape?” I rubbed my head “Where did you guys go?”

Grape's eyes suddenly looked down cast “When we erased Bill from that Stan's memories, we took everything out. He doesn't even know who he is. We were just paying our respects before we let the family have their private time.”

“We erased his memories?” I echoed feeling completely guilty

It didn't take a genius to figure out that Dipper and Mable cared about him. You could tell from the way he tried to do everything in his power to protect them, that he cared about them just as much as they cared about him. He was willing to give up his own mind just so that the entire world would be saved. It must be though for those twins.

“Aw don't be like that.” A mysterious voice laughed from within the woods

Due to previous experiences Fido, Grape and I fell into position instantly with our backs against each other. There was absolutely no way it could have been Bill. It couldn't have been Bill we erased him didn't we? As we scanned the surrounding area for the source of that voice I finally spotted something. A fox wearing a polo shirt and pants with nine tails sticking out the other end.

“Memories are stubborn, they don't like to be forgotten. So if you just prod at them with just the right emotional atmosphere they resurface.” He said nonchalantly as he approached us, his hands in his pockets and nowhere near the sword slung on his back “Man, you squares look like you got all the Fun. Maybe give me a ring next time.”

Grape stepped forward a bit, almost curious to test something “Wait, Tarot told me about you. Aren't you~

“The Great Kitsune at your service!” he humbly lowered himself to a bow “oh and I brought an extra.” he gestured behind him to reveal Tarot

“Did you really expect me to stay back there?” she said as nonchalantly as Kitsune

I slapped myself in the face I thought bringing an end to Weirdmageddon was going to also bring an end to all the weirdness on this world. I needed to sit down.

U make the world's plot remain mostly the same but giving the main characters quite relevant parts to it, I loved that!

So the Orbs where for that... have the feeling the gang will have to fight Fen(4 forms of him) >.<
Also, quick pseudo-fanart for the warlock orb:

Done with many elements from Unchained, so I could not follow ur original design much closely P=

That ending though! I'm pretty exited to learn what Tarot and Kitsune know and how will they help our heroes!
(Have to say that when Kitsune started talking about memories I kinda hope for "chain of memories" sentence to appear between the lines xD)

About the drawings; I wasn't expecting a Triquetra, u sure picked my interest just with that. Fen... hope they can save him soon...

I'm a bit surprised Kitsune got a sword, I thought of him most as a Magic user (something that will come handy since we lost Fen :/ )

Is all good, from 0.2 were just two songs, but u sure will hear them soon enough, just hoping they inspire u a bit :P

About [JP]Unchained, urs came first by a large margin but since I met this fluffy guy first, I couldn't stop thinking of the Shadow Wolf as a variation of it.

This one heartless just came out last december, but was wondering if u had something like him in mind for the Shadow Wolf?

Thanks, to be honest this world is the first one that had a major plot event happening. When they went to Remnant (RWBY) it took place during the volume 4 promo so not a lot of plot happened it was just an excuse for the creators to show off their brand new animation style, and Monster Hunter's world literally has no plot outside of kill this monster to save our village

It felt good to finally use the orbs things instead of leaving them there on the page. Also I don't care if it isn't close to the original design it looks amazing.

I can see what you mean if Kitsune were to have a sword though at the very least it should've been a Katana but there is a reason why he's holding that specific sword. just not going to say it yet.

That Heartless wolf is amazing especially the fluffy fur. I'd very much like a plush of that thing but to answer your question i only just saw it now, there may be a few ideas storming right now just not sure if i can finalize it

EDIT: also just realized this is the hundredth post on this topic, woohoooo!

This was a pretty good one. Interesting to see that keyblades are known in some places. Reminds me that Poseidon was seemingly the only other Disney character in the games to acknowledge what it was, and seemed to know of the Keyblade War.

So now we have Kitsune on the team. Things somehow got a lot more interesting. Neat, a sword! I designed one for him some time ago, seems to be a common idea.

Also, Cheke, neat job with the orb. Didn't know the individual sprites from KHX were released. Spriter's Resource?

Gravity falls spoilers, just beware, i guess
I made Stanford Pines the one of the only characters to acknowledge what a keyblade is becausein the show he was shown to be a dimension hopper before he was introduced in season 2, and because he was always interested in the weird and arcane things of the multiverse i decided it plausible for him to know what a keyblade was.

Now I'm curious about what makes the sword special, will have to wait then!

I also love how fluffy he is and I haven't thought about a plushie but now I would really love one >w<.

Glad to hear both of u liked it! Wanted to make it the closest I could to KH so I used mostly elements from the Chi (save the Ankh)

Sadly to say D-Rock, but there are not a source for assets from the game yet. For the edits I used the artwork here. (most have a high-res pic)
For the Warlock Orb I used: Magic Gem and Wizard, High Wizard and Enraged Elk Heartless.
Just took the parts I needed, make a bit of cropping and fixing, then mashed all together

Here is the Tyrant Orb now!

This one was a bit more complex since there aren't any scythes on Chi, not crowns I liked either. But I worked based on other KH games.
Hope u like it too! (I could made it closer to the original design this time)

So This chapter is up way earlier than i expected because of a few factors. One of which was that I've actually been planning this encounter a few months ago, second is because of my parent's. Not like they're forcing me to do this, more like they've kept me up for the past two hours with their snoring and we're in a hotel right now, currently as i write this its like 1:28 am. Anyway its done and no use delaying it.

This chapter was inspired by the sound track Oogway ascends from Kung Fu Panda https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTCfmK2zA1k

Chapter 29
The Land Forgotten by Legend

It was an odd experience to see Tarot again, heck anyone from Babylon Gardens would've been a welcome sight at this point. Living our normal lives almost seemed like a dream after the lengths we went through just to find our friends, and it felt less real the longer we spent away from home. I missed her touch so badly, the way we'd always cuddle together after a long day. It almost seemed like decades since its happened.

Sabrina, King, Peanut, and now Fen. That hooded figure's taken four pets with complete disregard of how it will affect them physically, and mentally. He never even stopped to consider if there were any repercussions that could possibly happen from taking these pets away from their friends and family or how badly it would devastate them if they were to ever find out they went missing.

“Are you all just going to be downers or what?” Kitsune asked from the front of our little group as we continued down the path of the light bridge “I'd think the three of you have some questions right about now. We've got a few minutes to kill so why not ask your questions now?”

While the rest of us were still a little uneasy about the whole thing Fox decided to step up first “How come it took you so long to finally reach us?”

Without looking back Kitsune threw three small objects at us. All three of us managed to catch the small object, which turned out to be small stone plates. Carved onto each of them was a strange looking symbol of three rounded triangles intersecting in the middle.

“We found those in three specific locations, one in Pete's temple, one in Dragon's temple and finally one underneath my statue.” he said nonchalantly as he stretched his arms “By using the residual mana in my statue and both temples temples, those three plates were able to create a deniability field around your world. Which is why Tarot couldn't contact us before now.”

“I literally had to telepathically ask someone on their deathbed to carry my message over when they passed. Think of it like Celestial Snail Mail” Tarot sighed as she massaged her temples “It took me ten times before anyone actually responded with a serious answer, and another ten days after for Kitsune to come by in person.”

Okay so that answers that question, “So do you know who this person is? Every time we see him he's always obscured his face with his coat.” I asked, hoping to get some kind of insight as to why he's going all these things

“I have a hunch,” Kitsune's tone shifted ever so slightly, not a lot but enough to be noticeable to a K-9 officer “not a lot of proof to back it up but I hope I'm wrong.”

“Is there a way to save them?” Grape's voice was riddled with worry “Its been so long since we've seen them and I just want to know if its already too late for them or not.” I had to admit I didn't consider if it was to late to help them

At the question Kitsune stopped “There is a way to help them, and right now we're putting in anyone who's available to assist.” for the first time since we started walking Kitsune turned and knelt down to place a hand on Grape's shoulder “Don't focus on that right now, finding their hearts are the first step to their recovery. Finish this step first and then we'll talk the second. Promise me that this won't distract you from what we're about to do in there.” When Grape nodded Kitsune's grin reappeared “Good because we're here.”

Compared to the paths we've traveled on the light bridge before this one was eerily different. The most notable of the differences was that the door's stain glass image was destroyed, leaving its shards to roam the space around the bridge. What struck me as odd though was some of the shards, the yellow, blue, and green were completely fine, but the red ones didn't shine as brightly as the rest. From what I could tell the image looked to be a wolf howling at the moon while four swords were pointed towards it. The second of which was that the door was slightly open as if someone was too lazy to shut it closed.

“I don't like the looks of this Fido.” Spo whispered as he slowly sank down lower into my collar “Something just doesn't feel right.”

I scratched what part of his head was sticking out of my collar to reassure him “I'm pretty sure its nothing to be afraid of.”

“Says the guy who basically has a set of armor on at all times.” I had to admit he had a point

Even though there really wasn't anything out there I decided to take Spo's words into consideration. He sometimes had a knack for detecting danger, at times useful, but more often than not, a little bit annoying. So with that in mind I had all my senses on high alert just as a precaution.

As we neared the door I heard something in the distance. It couldn't have been a monster, it almost sounded like voices only blurred because of the distance. Straining me ears harder I tried to pick up what they were saying, but instead what I got was the sound of whistling.

“GET DOWN!” before I knew it I was pushed to the side as Kitsune deflected a blue glass shard with his sword

With the initial shock of the ambush gone all of us fell into formation our eyes straining to find the attacker “What are we dealing with!?” Grape yelled in confusion as she brushed aside two more blue shards aimed her way

“I FREAKING TOLD YOU!” Spo yelled from my collar

“That's not important right now!” Kitsune pointed to the door “EVERYONE INSIDE PRONTO!”

For some reason it was only the blue ones that were actively trying to attack us, that was a load off my back since if it was all of them we'd be instantly surrounded with nowhere to run. Summoning my keyblade I fell into my stance as I deflected shard after shard. When a shard came inches away from hitting my stomach I had to resist summoning shields in this place. It was far too dangerous to summon any shields here since we had very little space to work with as is, and I could end up accidentally sending someone off the bridge without meaning to.

“Fido!” Fox yelled as he threw his keyblade in my direction

The emerald patterned keyblade flew a short distance before hitting the ground in front of me. Before I had time to process why Fox would attack me, his keyblade released a sudden gust of wind that knocked me backwards. As I flew I saw what Fox was protecting me from. A set of shards were coming in from above and it was closer than I would've liked.

“Fido, hurry!” Tarot yelled from the door as Kitsune continued to deflect any incoming shards so that they could keep the door open

Now that I was the only left on the light bridge I was free to use my shields. Focusing my aura on the ground behind my feet, I conjured a shield slightly tilted toward the door. With a silent prayer that this would work I stepped onto the shield like a platform and struck it with my keyblade. A few short moments passed before the shield lit up and exploded, propelling me forward.

While I flew I gathered another concentration of my aura, this time on the largest scale I have tried to date. With a massive concentration of aura, I created a tunnel made out of my shields to protect me from whatever shards would try to attack. From there it was only a matter of them catching me and shutting the door shut on time. Once I was through the door Kitsune rushed in and slammed the door shut while Grape and Fox were able to catch me at the expense of knocking all three of us into a nearby wall.

“That... shouldn't have... happened.” Kitsune said in between pants “Those blue shards were supposed to be dormant.” Before Kitsune could continue to take in more air his still drawn sword lit up before extending and hitting him square in the nose

“AH MY NOSE!” he yelled as he threw down the sword, now taking the shape of a long bow while the scabbard on his back turned into a quiver full of arrows “THAT THING IS STILL CURSED!?” he was already massaging the part of his muzzle that was hit “WOW, his spells last forever.”

Now that we were safely out of danger, and that we were suddenly provided with a funny sight laughter started to fill the air. After three long weeks of life threatening situations, and near death experiences anything would've looked funny. Its felt like forever since I heard of laughter, and it was something that I desperately needed.

That laughter however was short lived for me as a sudden chill overwhelmed my senses. I only felt that cold when my aura went down, but that didn't make sense I wasn't even hit. When I checked my body my eyes went wide when I found three blue shards sticking out of my side before they melted leaving no trace of an injury. Suddenly I felt my head start to cloud as the voices I heard from a far jumped to being around the corner.

“Boy, this laugh was overdue wasn't it? Huh, Fido?” Fox looked at me confused as he wiped a tear from his eye

My legs then gave out before Grape caught me “Whoa, Fido are you alright?”

“He's been hit!” Fox yelled coming to the obvious conclusion “But where? I don't see the wound.” Fox set me down against the wall we crashed into to look for the culprit

“For starters what was he hit with?” Grape asked as Kitsune approached me

Kitsune locked eyes with me as he studied my condition “Those were memories and like I said before memories don't like to be forgotten, so when they sensed a soul they could bury into they tried to latch onto him. That doesn't make any sense though, for one I'm sure that the original owner of those memories isn't anywhere near here so they shouldn't be active in the first place. Second none of us did anything that exposed our souls enough to get these memories attention.”

“Oh no.” Fox came to the same realization I did “Fido told me an aura is the extension of a person's soul. He subconsciously has it on while he's awake.”

“I'll make preparations for the extraction.” Tarot said reaching into her collar for a small pocket book

“Okay so he has a few new memories in him what's the big difference?” Spo asked as a genuine look of concern written on his face “He'll be fine right?”

“You don't understand, this could shatter him psychologically.” Kitsune said helping out with Tarot's preparations “Memories make up who you are so this could also change him permanently, in some situations the new memories would start to confuse him and eventually lead him to questioning who he really is. Worst case scenario is if all those memories are intense enough they have the potential to erase Fido completely and put the original owner in his place.”

“Kitsune! This is bad, his aura is starting to turn blue, its supposed to be green.” Grape said rushing over to Tarot to help her with her task

With Fox and Spo left to watch over me I felt my vision slowly start to white out. My mind was too cluttered to think straight, but I had to remain strong. I had to keep my memories safe. I am Fido Byron a police officer of Babylon Gardens, and boyfriend to Sabrina D'Angelo.

Instantly shattering my train of thought was a wave of exhaustion as I ran with my senses strained to pick up any signs of danger. This was an important mission and I couldn't fail my team now.

“Tank, your health is in the red switch out! Tank two cover for him.”

“Finally, couldn't you have timed that better.”

“I-I'll do my best.”

“Healer, switch focus to Tank 1”

“Understood.”

“Support, I need offensive and defensive buffs.”

“Gotcha,” I yelled enthusiastically “Buffs in coming.”

“How's he doing?” a gray husky asked while a concerned look decorated his face

“We're just removed the first shard,” Kitsune said as he placed a blue shard in a glass jar “Things are going to get a whole lot worse for him before we see any results.”

“Hang in there Fido. Just a little more.” a mouse said from the head of a purple cat,

That was an odd sight, a cat and a mouse getting along. More importantly were they talking to me? Who was Fido?

I suddenly felt the world shift around me as the winds brushed past my face. I don't know why, but I was angry and frustrated. I hated everything, everything wasn't fair, why couldn't I be like my brother?

“You can't do this! It isn't fair!” I yelled, in frustration

“Think carefully about what you did.” I froze dead in my tracks his voice wasn't angry, furious or frustrated, he was disappointed in me, he had such high hopes for me, but I let him down

“You acted like nothing more than a spoiled brat by putting your life as well as that of your team's with the stunt you pulled. Be glad that this is far from the real thing.”

Rain started to pour down on me as I heard his footsteps slowly fade away in the distance. I'm sorry, I take back everything I said. Uncle please forgive me.

“Kitsune?” the same purple cat that had a mouse on her head watched from the sidelines

“That's the second shard.” he said placing it in a separate jar “Just one more to go. Look at me Fido, remember who I am, who they are, who you are. Don't forget, don't leave us.”

Once more the scene shifted, Kitsune's face remained largely the same but his clothes turned into a keikogi and hakama that were badly torn while his tails were reduced to four. He looked sad for some reason. Why was he so sad? What was happening?

“Don't leave us.” he repeated gesturing to the door behind him “You're in no condition to fight. Just perform the ritual with us on the other side of the door.”

“No, I can't they need me. They need as much support as they can if they're going to fight against him.” I said as I wearily hobbled over to the door “You need to go. I can't leave them behind.”

Kitsune looked saddened by my decision to stay, but it was something I needed to do. Releasing my bow from my back I reached it past the door's frame and allowed it to melt back into its great-sword form. Once that was done I held the guard up to my chest before a large sting left me in a daze. I looked at the blade's handle to see my triple fang emblem slowly forming on the blade.

“Uncle.” I looked to the injured man who had his cape draped over his badly injured right arm “Keep this safe.” with a heavy heart I handed him my great-sword

Kitsune grabbed the blade from my hands “What are you doing? That's your weapon, how do you expect to fight when you don't have it?”

“Kitsune my father and brothers are gone. You saw what happened to them, we all did. I can't let this fall into the wrong hands if anything happens to me.” I said sadly the more I thought about it

“Fine if that's the way it had to be then here I want you to have this.” Kitsune said unhooking his Katana from his side and placing it in my hands

“Kitsune, I can't take Spectrum away from you. You've come so far with this blade, lead us into countless battles and brought us out of it victorious with Spectrum. Its your treasure.”

“Then take good care of it, cause you'll be returning it to me one day. Alright?”

“Yeah. I'll return it one day.”

After that everything faded into white, and slowly the clutter in my head started to fade away. I remember who I am now, these weren't my memories, nor did they make up who I am. This is the first time I've been to this world, I graduated from the academy with top marks, I told the world I was in love with a cat. I am Fido Byron, a police officer of Babylon Gardens, and boyfriend to Sabrina D'Angelo.

With that my eyes slowly opened to the dull grays of this world. We were the only ones in color for some reason, and it only made this world a little bit sadder. Strange, he remembered this place being different.

“Fido?” a small dog approached me with tired eyes, I remember her

“How are you feeling?” Tarot asked when I gave no answer to snap me out of it

“A little head ache,” I said as I saw my aura reinstate itself on my body, to my relief it was still green “but I think I'm still me.”

Tarot also breathed a sigh of relief “Thank goodness. The others were worried sick about you.”

“How long was I out?”

“Just for an entire night or so, the others should be waking up any minute now.”

“How about Kitsune, where did he go?”

“Oh him?” Tarot pointed to the top of the mountain “He went up there, he said he had something to take care of.”

I felt like I needed to talk to him about the memories I saw “I think I need to talk to him, privately.”

“Are you sure, maybe you're still tired?” she asked, maybe already losing faith that I was entirely alright “Also how are you planning on getting up there?”

“I have my ways.” I said with a smirk as I conjured a shield and stepped on

Summoning my keyblade in my hand I raised it skyward before striking the shield. Once it exploded to send me up higher I conjured another shield to act as a platform underneath my feet before I struck it again. I repeated the process over and over again till I was high enough to reach the peak. Before I could go off to look for Kitsune though I stopped when I noticed a familiar spiral pattern on the floor near where everyone set up camp. Upon a closer look I noticed it was the same as his Triple Fang emblem only this time it was printed onto the floor beneath them without noticing it.

“GAAAAHH!” came the tired cry of Kitsune as he struggled to breathe “Curse you non-existent cardio! Honestly if my astral jumps still worked on this world I would've been down there enjoying a pancake by now. But no, apparently I have to climb this stupid mountain.”

I followed Kitsune's voice to a clearing just up ahead where sure enough I saw him gasping desperately for air. I took a moment to collect my thoughts on what I was going to say or ask him. My first sentence definitely couldn't be hey I think I may have seen your friend's memories maybe I can help you find him. I just don't know what to think right now, and maybe I just needed someone to talk to about these memories.

Before I could even talk myself into having the conversation with Kitsune I heard something hit the ground. A quick peek over the boulder I was hiding behind revealed Kitsune on his knees in front of a katana pinned to the ground near a wilted tree.

“Of course you'd leave it here. You were a sucker for the view after all.” he wiped his face, but from the tone alone I knew he was tearing up “Although I expected you to take better care of this place.” he picked up the Katana from the ground and studied its weight, as if its been a eternity since he's held it “Looks like I'm going to have to clean up after you for old time's sake.”

Kitsune took a sharp intake of breath before pressing the blade down onto the ground as he exhaled. After he exhaled Kitsune removed the blade from the ground and moved to another position leaving a copy of himself that glowed red. Once again Kitsune inhaled pressed the blade down into the ground as he exhaled, this time when he moved an orange copy was made. His movements were graceful, well practiced and fluid, as if he's done it a thousand times over.

Kitsune continued to repeat this cycle in a circle, making clones for each color of the spectrum. Finally once the circle was complete Kitsune pressed the blade one more time, inside the circle as a copy surrounded in black aura took its place on the opposite side of the original Kitsune.

With all of his clones made Kitsune raised the sword high, prompting his clones to do the same. Now that everything was set Kitsune stashed his katana and drew the bow on his back and strung an arrow. The clones moved in towards Kitsune and seemed to melt into the arrow he had strung up. Once the last clone melted into the arrow Kitsune let it lose allowing it to sail high into the sky.

The moment it reached a high enough altitude the arrow exploded and rained down an entire pallet of colors into the gray landscape. What was once dull and dreary soon turned into nature's work of art as the colors started to fill in the void that was left specifically for them. It wasn't long before the entire gray landscape was transformed into a breath taking view of the rising sun with a mountain range not too far off in the distance.

“Not too shabby huh?” he said to no one in particular “It may not be as good as the ones you used to see, but its here.”

Admiring his handiwork Kitsune set both weapons down next to the now blooming cherry blossom tree and dangled his legs off the cliff as he took in the view. I couldn't see it from here but I knew full well that he was sad, and maybe now wasn't the best time to approach him. For now I let him enjoy his sunrise I certainly did.

End of Chapter 29

Like i said before I'm in a hotel at a different place so i forgot my sketch of Kitsune and (for now we'll call him) Fragmented Memory's weapons but here's an image of his Triple Fang emblem (Which i know is Triple Horn but for the purposes of this story is Triple Fang)

Awesome Update!
So I'm trying to figure out the conversation between Kitsune and the other person.
I'm assuming it was a friend of Kitsune that is missing/dead and couldn't return the Spectrum sword, making Kitsune upset when he finally found the sword by itself.
Is this correct or am I completly lost?

Alright, Kitsune, what have you been holding in?

Also, with all of those flying shards, imagine if we got a four-man version of this?

That was very interesting, may not comprehend it all but I'm looking forward to learn what was that all.
I'm alot more worried now... all this make me feel like a bunch of celestials couldn't defeat the Mysterious Figure the 1st time and just sealed it away(wild random guess). Justing thinking the kind of power he must have, I mean he deflected a shot from Bill Chiper too

Hope u recover the lost sleep P= I hate nights when I cannot sleep too much :/ and wherever u are, wish u better travel from that night on

Frakensteining, quite a fitting term xD I like it! And true to be told; it's not really hard to begin with.
I'm finishing Frakensteining the last orb. is it ok if I play a little with the logo u did for TLFBL?

hey thanks for that and after a quick power nap in the car ride home as well as a follow up nap in my room i remembered i finished a rough draft of Warlock Fen's concept art. still need to work out a few things with the hands and I'm also not too sure if I'm proportioning the keyblade to his hand properly but hey its still a draft but i might as well leave it here in the mean time.

Edit: Almost forgot while sketching i had my playlist on shuffle until it hit this song which pretty much accurately describes Fen's situation right now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5U7bCSZ4NBA

Also I'm now excited on that last orb. I was having a hard time drawing mine to look just right. So i can't wait for it.

Looks really cool! Also, indeed a fitting song. Think that was the first one from Nate that I've heard. That or Salvaged, not sure.

Fen looks just amazing in like that, great Keyblade too.

So, for the las Orb, while reading the capter I imagined it with wing sprouting from its back, and claws also sprouting or floating close to it in the front. Since the previous headwear was tilted I figured the blindfold will be tilted as well, but since it's supposed to cover the eyes I put it a bit below. I have no idea of what kind of Wing and Claws u had in mind P= so I ended doing two orbs. Also the last color in Chi is green which is associated with speed, but I didn't have the feel that Peanut's orb(btw, which name will this one have?) was an Speed focused one... so I used a yellow one instead.
Pls, tell me what u think of these:

Thanks, still have to finish up on a few details and work on the fire in his hands though.

Whoa the orbs look amazing. In my rough sketches the wings were such a pain but i think these are way better. I like both of them equally, and its way better than my draft As for the name of Peanut's orb i had it set for Masquerade

The drawn is quite good to me right now, but is u said so, I will be waiting for the final version then!

Since the orbs where finally posted somewhere online, I showed them to a friend and he pointed me some directions. He recommended using the first set of wings and the second set of claws; likewise he said that wings and claws are not complements like weapons or headwear, so they should match the color scheme of the orb to feel part of it. Also pointed a few flaws on Tyrant's crow. So I adjusted accordingly.

Here is the set of orbs, hope u like the results.

I'm going to agree with him, whatever it is, whether its rednering of art i do or just moral support, i don't care what it is. The fact that you are willing to even look and comment at something I'm trying to do already means so much to me.
