The second half of this arc is going to be about what he did before he went to heaven, isn't it? I'm very excited to see where this goes. If he was in court, something tells me he left something behind for the other ferrets, but then again... could be pulling our leg :3

Is it okay to admit that I actually find this arc painfully suspenseful and kinda terrifying in its implications?
I dunno... The idea of character death just isn't sitting well no matter how I try and think about it.
Just felt like getting that off my chest...

Well, now I'm a bit confused if the court is a memory or if Heaven is a dream...

And I will agree, the suspense in this arc is... quite something to deal with.

Ohhh so now it could be either way: either Keene was actually asleep this whole time and was dreaming (since ferrets can fall into 'dead sleep'), or this was the memory before.

Man I really hope we get answers soon: I can't wait any longer ;w;

I do strongly believe it's not a case of simple "it was a dream all along", especially since the comic had the "Wake up/Or was it?" sequences - and there are still two heavenly animals as implied by the title. Though I could see it going into "which one's reality?" territory.
But then again, I'm bad at theorycrafting.

Yeah, that pool is really dangerous... It's great to finally see that it was only a dream and that Keene is alive! So, that pool works like the "wake up" said by the demigods, apparently. Anyway, why Keene is being processed? Eh, "play" with lot of money had to bring you there... Oh, I didn't know that about ferrets, and well, the court had to know it.

Two thoughts entered my head about this strip.
1. Talk about drowning in memories.
2. Did he really die or did he just dream of heaven? I've heard of that happening.
and if so, what's really going on then?

I wonder if you can drink from that pool and survive. And, was Keene sued or something and that's why he's dressed that way? Hmm... *hides crystal ball*

Tbh i am still trying to figure out whats going on... was it all a dream? was this one of those "Wake up" moments? Is he even dead? after all Cerberus said he never took him there. I am actually wishing this panel would wrap up and answer this stuff because like Aura here its not sitting well with me.

I'm going to guess Kitsune, since I strongly suspect Karishad is his avatar and I doubt he doesn't know anything about Keene's death if not being outright involved...

I might be overthinking this, but maybe he's remembering when "Ocean's Two" finally got around to disputing the inheritance in court. And the judge ended up ruling that pets couldn't legally arrange for the disposition of their possessions post-mortem, so that when the carpet-sharks kicked the bucket whatever they hadn't spent would go to Milton's surviving relatives, meaning Celia and Thomas.

And one or both of them thought the ferrets might actually manage to get rid of it all in their short lifespans so they decided to hurry things along. Starting with the one who thinks his "dad" left them a potentially very expensive job to do.

Karishad's relationship with the universe IS Rule of Funny. When he's around, the universe bends to cause whatever happens to be funny at the time, without (many) lasting consequences.

I don't think this is a cop out- I mean, a dream. He was probably in court for tax evasion or something similar, given he was doing things like Theme Park World specifically to avoid taxes. How he died, though—if he actually died—is still beyond me.
