Well, what would you guys think about the Community Center hosting a carnival/festival for the Equinox? I know it's still about a month away, but even if we started it now, it would most certainly last through the one in real life.
It would also allow for any players to split up into smaller groups, which not only helps now with so few people, but also helps when more people join, as they can reasonably acclimate to the RP without having to immediately introduce themselves to every character in it; they can just bump into a group and start small.

A spring/fall festival? I reckon that would work!

I'd be cool with that. also at the rate most RPs are going nowadays it'll probably last through next year's fall equinox

FA powerful build usual to the Maine Coon with larger handpaws than a normal feline. Tufted ears and a sharp look that he can turn into a cheering smile when he needs it. He dresses well in suits and has street clothes ready for use including several pairs of shoes and boots to match his outfits

-Personality-
He can flip from utter social to total business in a heartbeat. He has suppressed anger towards his family, who reckon he’s wasting his time here. He sometimes acts on impulse but he usually tries to think things over. It’s when he gets annoyed he acts without thinking or much consideration.

-Backstory-
His family made its fortune in toilet rolls. Specifically they owned two of the factories that made the cardboard tubes toilet rolls go on. It was enough to get him into University where he discovered that having a high alcohol tolerance was an advantage when you wanted people to talk. He discovered he liked them telling of their indiscretions and giving him hints as to where to find more. Which made journalism a perfect match. He passed his exams and joined a local newspaper, breaking a story or two which brought him to the attention of one of the Zootopia Newspapers. He’s in his first few months here but has established a few low level ‘friends’ around the place.

-Other interests-
An experienced amateur fighter. No flair but a fair amount of physicality. Basically a Maine Coon.
He knows a good investment when he sees it.

For those who didn't get the 'Zootropolis' comment, that was the film and citys name in the U.K. Not sure why.

It was named different in several countries..
The reason being is copyright protection..
Someone can't make a knock-off now, using a similar name, since they have already released it with alternative spellings

you may have that logic reversed. I think it's "Zootropolis" in the UK cause something was already copyrighted under the name Zootopia there.

Thanks for the interest, Gameb18oy! This RP is certainly newcomer friendly, and if there's anything you ever have trouble with, I'm sure any one of us would be willing to help you out. This RP is currently on the slower side as well, so you shouldn't feel to pressured regarding constant posting speed.
Do keep in mind though, that as a Zootopia RP, the animals keep to a size relatively close to reality. Depending on the species of bat, your character may be very small. Don't let that stop you from making a bat, though, if you really want one!

Personality: Hardworking, intelligent, and mildly eccentric, Miles came to Zootopia to pursue an education and has lived on campus in North Savannah University for about two years. He’s a little irritated that people seem to think of him only as a class clown due to his species being known for being kinda goofy, but does his best to ignore when people make assumptions.

Other notes: -He’s working towards becoming an engineer, and is one of the top students at his college.
-He’s the fourth child out of 5 in his family, and he often sends souvenirs to his little sister who never tires of hearing about the city, even if she knows her brother is sugarcoating several things.

I do need a speech color from you, and preferably the hex code for it as well so I can add it to the Top Post. You might want to add Gender and Occupation as sections as well. And if you could, I would really appreciate it if you put some spacing between the sections, just so they stand out more. Other than that, Miles looks fine!

As far as where a college campus would be... hm, I'm not sure. I imagine there would be multiple colleges in Zootopia, probably tailored for different careers. And all around college would probably be in Savannah Central, since it's the middle ground of sorts, but if an Engineer-specific college is what you want, I could see one being in the Rainforest District. Machinery is required for some mammals to get around there, so it'd be a great place for hands-on learning with important machinery.

Just a mild question that might allow for some interesting problems coming up, you think there are mascots in Zootopia colleges? I can imagine a lot of parallels to that problem with the redskins team coming up if so, and felt it be interesting if you tend to see animals that are exotic to one area of zootopia being turned into caricatures in others. Not all of them as you can still have stuff like dragons and cowboys and whatnot, just a thought

I think that sort of thing would almost certainly happen; prejudice was a key point in the movie, and it makes sense that in would spread in similar ways to humanity. That being said, I don't think it would necessarily be common, either, maybe one or two teams at most. We would probably see a few more bird/reptile teams instead, or some more natureish ones. (Like what I did for the Tundratown Soccer team, calling them the Tempests)

Well the trailer for the zootopia movie does explicitly state that this is a world in which humans have never existed. But I see no reason why the animals might not have invented them as a kind of monster.

Yeah, its just for fun, they are never gonna show up... out of curiosity, are there even any primates in zootopia?

There weren't any shown in the movie but I don't see why not. They are animals after all.

i dunno, I thought this was all inside the rec center and thought it was weird there'd be any rides. I'm only now realizing it may also be outside the rec center so bigger rides could fit

Yeah, I’d like some stuff clarified as well. The lack of awareness on how the fair looks is bit of why I’m not sure what to post right now... a small part of me wonders if it was a missed opportunity not to set the fair up in another area. Can you imagine the hijinx caused by something as simple as setting up bumper cars next to little rodentia or something like that?

The fair as I had planned it does take place mostly outside, though a few activities and booths can be found within the center itself, as well. So yes, there would be a decent selection of rides available, including some larger ones, so Ben has plenty to work on!
As for the rides themselves, I did have a neat idea for a Rollercoaster that was actually three Rollercoasters in one-- a coaster for Large mammals, one for smaller ones, and one for rodents, all interweaving through each other.

If anyone's interested, that picture I linked of the poached egg on toast is actually a dish made by Gordon Ramsay himself, and it's the same recipe Jannali has used, the only exception being that she didn't add bacon.

I figured that was a good selection of rides but we can add some more kiddy ones too.

What is the special limit for this roleplay? I may be interested in throwing my hat in and stirring upnthe plot here. Have always wanted to join a Zootopia roleplay and it seems the GM situation is resolved. Huzzah! May post a character sheet soon.
