Housepets!

I just wana know if there's anyone else out there who is some kind of artist besides me or Rick.

Little on my past. When I was younger, I used to be a realy good sketch artist but I didn't have copyright or anything like that so some pricks started to put their names on my art. run a marathon me off so much that I quit posting online for 3 years, but I started back and am still hesitant about posting my best art, even with copyright.

Enough about me though, what about ya'll?

I do a little bit of sketching but I can't draw at all. Like if I'm looking at something I can usually draw it spot on, but I can't just draw something based on a thought, I hate it

My roommate is a pretty good artist and him and I are considering starting a webcomic, he doesn't read housepets but he read a boatload of other comics.

I started drawing a lot back in middle school. Got into pixel art a few years back. Most of my stuff is posted on http://kaiseto.deviantart.com/ and http://pixeljoint.com/p/9929.htm. I also have an account on FA with some anthro stuff, mainly sketches and digital doodles http://www.furaffinity.net/user/abrenack/.

I don't plan on getting into art professionally. Just doesn't seem like something I'd like to do for a job. But I do plan to continue drawing/pixelling etc. as a hobby. I'd like to some day make an independent game, but at the moment the effort it takes is just so overwhelming.

I'm a photographer, and sorta a graphic designer. I wish I could draw original material, but I cant to save my life.

Haven't been on for a week and can't for a little longer. I've probably got like 50 messages... computor trouble. Doing this on a psp.

I dont really have a date that I started drawing in the sense that it has been my one reason for existance ever since I was old enough to hold a pencil. Im relatively new to furry art, though, as most of my art consists of guns, swords and other concept sketches. Im trying to open my perspective more.

Well... I USE to be an artist who drew, but without a scanner and noone to show my art, I haven't done much in a while, but recently I've been drawing again, (I'm not sure I can draw anthro though, haven't tried. and I play on buying a tablet soon so I'll be more motivated to practice.

Wow, so many great artists. I wish I could do stuff like that, but I'm difficult, so if I could I'd wish I could write. Whatever, brilliant stuff, all of you. Ferret, your firefighter pictures were amazing, by the way. I've got a soft spot for photography, I guess.

Haha, Thanks ;P I love writing, I've done a couple stories that I've gotten good feedback on but I don't really put them up anywhere..

Well, if you want feedback, stay away from deviantArt. The only pieces that get feedback over there are fanart or ridiculously cute anime drawings. I mostly use it as a portfolio thing. But, that's just me wallowing in self pity. There are authors over there who are fairly widely known.

Anyways, what sort of stories?

I hardly know the definition of a "artist", so I do not consider myself one yet.
I color and a draw, with the attempt of getting the most amount of emotion out of one drawing.

I think you're an artist.

I like to draw a lot--not as good as I'd like to be, but I think I do a good job with expressions.

I used to be a terrible artist. I've been drawing alot recently in an attempt to get better. I drew this a while back.

Yes.

I draw, write prose, nonfiction, and scripts, I can write music (very poorly), I rap (also very poorly, but I try) and sing, I'm eventually going to start painting (I paint digitally but I mean non-digital painting)....

I guess I'm an artist in that I do things that are considered art, but I don't consider myself good at any of those things and in that sense don't consider myself an artist.

In the realm of drawing and painting I happen to have a friend who's a painter by profession, and he has a bunch of friends who are also really into drawing and whatnot. They all make me feel inadequate, not because they tell me so, but because I see the stuff they do and I can't do it yet. But it is something to work towards!

I am a self-proclaimed GIMP wizard, so, yeah, I'm decent with photomanip/coloring dealios. However, I am not much of a drawer, but I am fairly good at photography.

I guess you could call me an "artist" depends on what you mean though.

I don't fashion myself as an artist. I have a long way to go before I earn that title. I do enjoy drawing though. Then again, I also enjoy writing, culinary art, and singing, so I guess I'm an artist in those ways.

Well some people seem to consider me an artist but eh *shrug* I can't say I am one since I don't -work- as an artist or something.

I use pencil and sometimes pen, but try to steer clear of coloring, although in my comic I decided to use colored pencils. I like to make pencil sketches with layers of vague shading. You know, the misty grayish look. That's what a lot of my sketches look like. I also draw more definite comics in pen and sometimes charcter references for stories I'm writing.

From what I've seen, I'd say that EVERYONE here is an artist in some way.

Well, Ive been drawing pretty much all my life, ive recently gotten myself a USB Tablet (and lucky for me, my scanner broke ) currently I feel that my Pencil/Pen & Paper work is much better than my Digital work, anyway, my official artsite is http://www.CrotserTech.webs.com (still WIP but functioning) , and my DA is KingNi2.deviantart.com . I'm not great, but I try. Unfortunatly all my scans are on my photobucket. I drew one character while trying to broaden my art into cartoon stuff.
