Getting onion bloom flashbacks... Those things are are a good idea for, I don't know, 10 seconds until you start eating.

Corgi with Bailey's blue color!
I know King was originally a human, who after a long time finally got to choose his final form. I guess that is why he cannot tell by scent changes. He did beat Bino in the wolf test though...
Maybe he is just that unobservant?

I just can't get over how excited I am! We get to see stubby-legged huskies puppies at last! <3
Hehe, and King broke the fourth wall - or maybe we broke it with our squees.

While the signs were there (albeit ambiguous), it's still a wonderful way to end the year out, for sure!
Looking forward to year 8!

O.O Wowee! Way to go, King!
Let's just hope the pups don't end up like this.
Erm, you may want to hold off on the onions though. Those are toxic to dogs.

I guess we'll know for sure in about two months (or whatever the gestation period is for a husky).
I share King's shock; three kids!

I would suspect it's less 'dad shock' and more 'Wait, three?!'
Also, did anyone ever actually answer her owner's question about puppies? cause it's going to be relevant soon.

Last year I wrote:A year ago I wrote:So here´s a funny fact: in almost all the "End of the Year" strips, Joel/King is present in them:
Year 1
Year 3
Year 4
And now
Year 5, the only exception to the rule is
Year 2
So Rick, was this planned or is it just a funny coincidence ?
Year six
Yeah, Im going with planned
Year 7
And the gag continues

That was a reference to an earlier joke based on the premise that Bailey's mother made her milkshakes with pickles while she was growing up. It wasn't a hint of pregnancy.

I think it's not such a surprising thing, to King, but the way she broke it to him so casually probably was. Like oh yeah did I not mention that I have three little half-you-half-mes inside me right now? WOOPS.
Also he's a dog and I feel like some things, like being a father AS A DOG, just don't hit even the most elite of the former humans.

Somehow I knew you'd say that...
King and Bailey lie under the stars,
(and the Stars can see a Peanut)
lying calm, up on the hill,
until Bailey thinks of her gut.
Visiting vendors for carnival food,
like Nachos, pickles and a milkshake,
King hears news that makes him stop
and makes his little brain quake.
She's carrying his litter within her,
his fears are about to be brought to life.
What will they look like, what will they be?
Delight and love married with strife.

It seemed it though. Especially since it popped up again after that. Though, to be fair, her pregancy craving was revealed to be for fried food. Even so, I suspected pregnancy ever since.

We're all going to forget about the eating contest now, aren't we? :3
*runs around in circles*
Huskey huskey huskey pups. Feet four fine with chess-like cubs.
EDIT: I'm more surprised that Rick went ahead and did this so early. I would've expected at least another 3 years or so to do this.
*claps his paws together*
I'M READY FOR THIS! :3

Yes Bailey, the perfect time to tell your husband that you're pregnant is when you're ordering snacks at a fair that was created to avoid taxes.

We will, and then find out that "eating for four" was just a misformulated metaphor for eating contest, where she'll win!

Rick won't do that, it would be too cruel.

On a side note: Love how those two Bigglesworths look in that first panel. So cuddly.

I guess they aren't in the HP! universe because Rick wouldn't do that to us.
He wouldn't, right?
Gordon Callahan wrote:Ha! I knew it, ever since the pickle in the milkshake in the diner in australia.

No, that was just Rick teasing us (and King) as first seen in this strip:
And of course by teasing us about it for so long, he's made sure it would be a surprise when it wasn't a tease.
GameCobra wrote:EDIT: I'm more surprised that Rick went ahead and did this so early. I would've expected at least another 3 years or so to do this.
What's that in dog years again?

In our time, around 30. But the reason i would've expected another 3 years is because I would normally anticipate something as major as someone having kids being saved for a major anniversary in the comic. Makes me wonder...
