2 Questions:
1- Where did Jess got that chainsaw ?
2- Does it matter ?

Yeah, why is Zach in the woods, anyway?

If Jessica keeps on doing this, then he will end up having a heartaZach!
P.S. that last brick really hurt...

Little-known fact: Forest animals also gather gasoline and hockey masks for the winter.

Jess and Zach is some of my favorite interactions in the entire comic for me

Innocent until proven guilty, Jessica. Give Zach the benefit of the doubt.

I've played some old DOS games that had the same title as this particular comic strip "Alone In The Dark". Really scary games. Although I don't remember any chainsaw wielding, hockey mask wearing opossums in that game, I don't think they were THAT scary!
DOS, that sure does how old I am...

The night is coming; dark, misty and loud,
a night of bright evil and hard candy tack.
A night Freddies and vampires make mom's proud -
hardly the night for poor, innocent, Zach.
The lady of truth hunts her friend, the lord of lies,
and asks a favour as surely only she can.
The secret is in terror to ease the way it implies
he has a choice. After all, it's his choice, her plan.
As Jaseicca looms, Zach fights to be brave;
he fights himself and fails to give in.
Even though the situation's deadly and grave
it could be worse. The mask could hide Marvin!

I hope there was a pun in the AT because it took me some to translate it properly
Poor Zach, but at least this strip testifies to his heart resistance, given what Max did to him last time...

Which one?

or 2004

But I have to say, a possum with a chainsaw, truly nature's most perfect killing machine.

Maybe she likes her prey hacked up for barbeque.

Hmm, seems like Jessica has proven to be ready for Halloween :P

Either that or she has found a way to be at the top of the food chain.

Am I the only one who sees the potential for and ships a Jessica-Zach relationship?

It would involve a lot of arguing, Jessica complaining about Zach acting like a Messiah while Zach complaining that all the woodland creatures keep thinking he's a messiah. Zach will never win. :(

I forgot how much I love Zach and Jess interaction. They are great together.

I think I know where she got the chainsaw too, I kind of dropped it in the woods after getting out of the pool. Sorry Zach, but at lease it served some purpose other than cutting cheese.

First of all, welcome, and second, I love that. I have never thought of it before now, but I can see how it would work. I want it to happen now. Maybe I should write a story about it. :D Too bad my stories stink.

Also, at first I thought Zach was King. In the first panel, I had to read through fast, as class was starting in 30 seconds, so I was confused when I read through.

 She would be a perfect match for Zach now that I think about it - provided she could stop misjudging him and accept that he really isn't an egomaniac bent on leading her friends astray. Hopefully Jessica will come around.

Hey, maybe there could be an arc where Zach gets critically injured in the woods and Jessica nurses him back to health. Meanwhile Jessica hears him talking in his brain-trauma-induced sleep and (finally) comes to realize she's been misjudging him the whole time. After Zach recovers, Jessica and he have a heart to heart and he and Jessica come to an understanding. Zach then goes home, but Jessica, though she tries to convince herself otherwise, has lingering feelings for him due to the Florence Nightingale effect...

Seeing Zach, and thinking back to his inadvertent involvement in the world of the demigods, I wonder if there will be some kind of sequel to the demigod episodes in the future. Or if we will see more of Pete as a mortal.

I get the impression that the storyline is at rest after the climax of the 'Heaven's Not Enough' arcs, moving through more or less innocent puns and shifting focus between the group of characters. That's kind of exciting, because the story is now really open. What will happen next?

We've already had a Life of Brian joke anyway (that was totally Custom Ink talking in the last two panels...)

I'd say Zach needs to learn to be more assertive but since he's a fwuffy bunny I'm not sure if that's even feasible.
It would be feasible if he were in a relationship with Jessica. She could teach him a thing or two, or many things.

"What?"
"She's a metatherian."
"What!?"
"She's a marsupial!"
"Why didn't you say that in the first place?"

Makes me wonder, the Sabrina/Fido story arc showed that at least cat/dog relationships are frown upon. But has Rick mentioned somewhere how mixed species relationships are generally looked at?

Well we have two people who argue together and they clearly don't seem to like each other......
The question should be "How could they not be shipping material?"
Oh well I'm actually not reading the comic, because of the couples but still.....

Now I really want to see their reaction to that. It would be great. Tiger with his name, and Zach with his relationship, then we'd just need something for Marvin...

And I don't think that was mentioned anywhere, but my opinion is that mixed species are generally frowned upon. There is also Joey and Squeak, but you know, he's Joey, so that doesn't count.

Oh, I already knew how Jessica is difficult to treat when she discuss with someone, getting also dangerous, but here she's exceeding. Both in joke and madness. :P You can ask that in a more normal way, no? And, do you have a proof that's him who does that? Poor scared Zach, one day he'll get a worse heart attack (after this). But, little Zach, what are you doing all alone in the dark and in the woods (which is a worse situation)? :? I know, Tiger isn't a good company for you, but it's much better stay at home... You got lost?
Great special work with this strip, drawing and colouring are awesome! :D
