Meeting the bad guys is often fun
when the hero is being a bit of a berk.
It gives him something to concentrate on
as he tries to survive the berzerk
attack from the Fury from above.
Evil cuts down on its finances
and one person is quite easier to draw.
It's not as fun as the bunnygun
but the orbital laser's bigger for sure
and is used with hate, not love.
The same can be said for Spot's blog,
discussing why he's being a fool.
She's being honest and she's being right,
but she's forgotten the pivotal rule:-
Never talk of a heroes feelings in public
It makes them out as less than angelic
and might assist the enemy, don'tcha know?
Like the War-mongrel, that little so and so...

Being a villain really works best only if you have one assistant. Take Darth Vader, for example. While he had a death star, his fault clearly laid in that he had too many people to operate it. Clearly.

Also I love how the text that goes along with the FB link is "Hey we're back with spot so he can be disproportionately complained about."

Side note: Stripe is evidently 7 years old. So if you ignore dog years, then that's creepy and if you add dog years that's still kinda creepy. Consider my disproportionate complaint finished.

"Pet years" are roughly three and a half years per human year in the Housepets! universe. Even were they equal to seven, there would be nothing creepy. If you wanna argue for Rick implying pedophilia, enjoy your ban.

The battle station in this comic is apparently based on the Soviet "Polyus" orbital weapons platform. The prototype was supposed to rotate 180 degrees to aim its boosters at the ground after separating from the Energiya launcher, then finish hurtling itself into orbit. The craft instead went through a full 360 and promptly blasted itself back toward Earth, crashing in the Pacific Ocean. The program was canceled, thus preventing real-life (albeit miniature) "Death Stars" from orbiting Earth.

Four years and he still couldn't determine Grapes gender? Wow, Peanut is either totally oblivious or Grape is the worlds best pet actor.

Also Sabrina was apparently around before cell phones were common, so she could be somewhere between 10 - 30 human years. O.o

It's because the art's (probably) easier on the Spot arcs so Rick has a little more time to draw the rather intensive plot that's underway and not rush it.

It shows us Peanut's still around and doing his comic thing! Would ya rather a week or two without updates during an intermission from a multi-arc storyline and no strip if Rick's running late/can't think of a normal comic? Rick's needs come first.

Personally, this Spot strip was touching and meant a lot to me.

Plus we get our first look at Ted! Seems odd that Rick gives him a name instead of just a generic title like Lone Operations Flunky. I see big things being planned for this character in the coming weeks. He could be the Sparks of the Spot (Superdog) Multiverse.

Oh yeah, Stripe's blog info are really top-secret (especially her age!).

Anyway, she needs to learn to don't spread around such news.

Spot, ok that you can't still fly, but there are lot of better ways to move from a State to another... You really had to do it by walking?

But, how come the radar monitor didn't work in Kansas? Yeah, the Viridian Lamp isn't so much popular, but it's a sort of original superhero.

The operator can well do better plans with less budget, but being him, I would leave.

The Warmongrel spares no expense, obviously now the budget is tight. He won't go so much ahead with this evil plan.

Actually, any person who has worked in corporate America, like me, is all too familiar with the boss buying stuff but not getting enough people to run it. They call it running lean and mean. So that last line made me laugh out loud.

Actually now that I think of it, I wonder if Ted is meant to be a reference to a cult ( i.e. show cancelled way too soon ) workplace sitcom that ran on ABC in the states a few years ago called Better Off Ted which featured the title character as a middle management worker and Only Sane Man in a giant corporation who continually pointed out the daily insanity that revolved around him in the company's runnings. If so, bravo, Mr Griffin, bravo!

Ahh yes, back to Spot's comics again. I never get tired of them. It's good to see we have them more often lately since they are one of my favorite things about this comic. (unlike most of the fans

You have to admit that Peanut is quite original at character development. I loved every one of his characters so far. How come his work is not famous yet?

Now how is that the death laser thing cannot work in Kansas? Seems nothing interesting ever happens in Kansas. XD
And why there is a pink bunny printed on it? Was that weapon stolen from some kind of soviet rabbits?

Poor Spot, is no good for him to have such an intrepid reporter as Stripe as his girlfriend revealing every single one of his secrets, but hey, I'm sure he has his way to make a profit of it or rather, to take advantage of it.

All I can recall is that side story of Sabrina where she reveals that domestic dogs and cats can live up to forty years while ferals up to fifty.

What? You can't be serious, guys. Good arc? The previous arc was the worstest arc so far. I didn't even bothered to comment because I didn't wanted to argue with “that part" of the fandom again. Intensive plot? What is that plot you are talking about? For me it was like five weeks of uninterrupted one-offs. For the first time since I started reading this comic I felt very disappointed of Rick. I mean, I'm not saying his work was bad, it just it was too “normal”. These arcs are supposed to be the climax of the major plot that's been under this comic for years and yet I haven't felt touched at any moment (not even when Joel finally revealed himself to Fox, which I think it was kinda rushed). I really was expecting an arc full of emotions and feelings involved and I kind of prepared myself for the most craziest things, considering we are talking about gods and magic stuff. But here I found another regular arc and so far, not memorable at all. All I've got from the last arc was:

-Joel got back his dog form, hence, Bailey has no reason to keep fighting.
-Tarot clearly overpowers Bailey and has no intention to take this fight seriously. That's why she's been texting someone (which I think is Kari using Keene's phone again since Peanut doesn't have a cellphone as far as I know) throughout the whole fight so far.
-Also, Tarot kind of stated that this is not a deathmatch when she said they're able to call time outs for recovering. Therefore, King's worry is pointless. This also means that Pete is going to lose one way or another.
-Fox is such an insecure crybaby who thinks the only way to get a girl is having a beefy body. This character has been ruined forever. How I miss the old Fox.
-Lara CroftSabrina's dynamic entry was the most coolest and exciting part of the arc. Though not many of the fandom enjoyed it but rather showed their irrational hatred towards her after she hit their beloved goddess Bailey even though it was just for the fun.

All I can say is that the previous big plot (the Grapenut plot) was far more exciting, intense and enthralling than the current one. It's such a shame that Rick take too serious the hatred of some people. I'm sure he most likely had planned these arcs differently but decided to not take any risk in order to avoid upsetting those who claim to be fans of the series but only worship two characters.

There's more i was tempted to say, but I remembered an old saying: don't try to teach a pig to sing; it doesn't work, and it annoys the pig!

Especially since he's best friends with one of the most successful writers of the HP! Universe....or at least friends with her cat.
