Housecleaning. Some people have a filing system, I have a "piling system". When the piles reach a certain level, the missus plunks the trash can beside my desk and that's "`nuff said."

Doing some web surfing before I go to bed for the night as I was at an afterparty for a baby shower for 5 hours and I'm tired.

Probably gonna play some Cyberpunk 2077 today for a bit (Finished installing the recent patch for it) while having some videos on in the background on some games from my youth (Lego Island being one of them), then later? Gonna play a bit more of Ocarina Of Time (Got to the Shadow Temple last night finally after working my way through one of the harder dungeons, The Water Temple) then MAYBE some Star Fox 64.

I wanted to go to the Station Nightclub Fire Memorial (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Stati ... tclub_fire) since its the 19th anniversary of the fire happening but I have a lot of things I need to do. On a related note, the party I was at yesterday was for a woman as a pre-engagement party. Her sister is dating a woman whose mother died in the fire.

Resting up from watching the Olympics. Should go for a walk, what with the sun and the temperatures both up, but bit of a funk.

Started playing with OpenTTD again after a long time. I loved playing with it a few years ago, but then there was a bug, a new phone with different aspect ratio and I've lost my interest. The interest is now back and now I'm using the PC version
I dunno, just imagine something funny here

After 2 weeks of it not airing because of the Winter Olympics, I decided I was gonna catch up on my soap opera "Days of our Lives".

Window shopping followed by trying to learn to play the blues, all about the feel and groove it seems, interesting reading up on the history of it, didn't realise mandolin was used in blues a fair bit early on.

Getting back into the gym. Since Sophie was called away, I haven't gotten much exercise and physical indolence is not healthy for us geezer types.

Went to see some fellow Deer at a park not too far away, fairly tame Red Deer, these ones are not fully wild and were not bothered by people nearby (it's a public park). Now the rut is over all the males were hanging out together in the shade and were tolerating each other well enough, still the odd nudge with an antler from the older ones to some of the younger stags, also bumped into a group of Does strolling out from under a clump of trees, they saw me but weren't at all bothered, just curious, walked very close by me looking pretty nonchalant. Most have fairly straggly coats at the moment as they get their summer coat. reds more graceful than us Fallow deer I think.

My neighbor asked me to take her scottie dog, Brody, for a walk this afternoon. Brody was Sophie's "boy friend" back when they'd meet together at the fence for the "Waggy Tails Club" sessions in the early morning. So I did. Brody's a nice little chap, and I could tell he misses Sophie since he wanted to give our yard a thorough inspection before getting on with it. It was a very thoughtful gesture and we had a pleasant outing. Like Sophie, Brody is good on a leash and a handsome little guy, but he's much more all business than my little fox was - few stops, no socializing with children or other dogs, and return promptly, thank you ever so much. :)

Get well soon Amazee. That seems a very kind gesture Weston, sounds like you have thoughtful neighbours. Each mind is it's own but glad you got out for a walk in any case.

Watching Song of the Sea, a great animation.

Yeah, they're good people. When we traveled, they would care for Sophie and watch our house, so they bonded nicely (shelties are born with abandonment anxiety ... as if Sophie's early life of shelters and abuse wasn't enough). Brody and Sophie were pals, too, being about the same size, playful but reserved, and fond of "exploratory walks". He's a nurse-practitioner and kept us up on all the Covid craziness. She's an administrator at a prep school and had to work from home. Sadly, they've had their share of tribulations and more.

They aren't stories like that. They are online. Just Google cats stealing straws in any sort of permeation.

Getting ready to watch Grey's Anatomy now.

Random fact, us Fallow Deer are actually fully covered in white fur head to tail, we just grow thicker brown fur over the top, when we are young we rub against trees leaving missing patches, hence the white spots. ;) Happy April fools all!

Yard work. Don't have Sophie to help me any more but there's been a big ol' Cooper's Hawk hanging out in my Red Oak, providing adult supervision. He just missed getting a crow this morning - it was like watching a World War One dog fight!

No, I wasn't there during the First World War.

Recorded a few guitar and vocal overdubs for a track I pretty much finished two days ago-- but it's a slightly different sort of song than usual so I can forgive myself for a few ideas coming into my brain late.
Going to have some ice cream in a few minutes, finish watching Saturday Night Live, and then go to join the extended family for dinner :) I don't know what's to eat but I'm sure it will be good.
