Hi! I'm considering joining this RP. I was wondering what kinds of arcs have you had? What do you guys typically do here?

I'm thinking maybe a kangaroo character. I assume there isn't a problem with that?

Species/Breed: Badger

Age: 5 human years, 17.5 pet years

Neighbourhood: Exotic Acres

Appearance: Except for the head, Jack is covered with a grizzled, brown, black and white coat of coarse hair or fur, giving almost a mixed brown-tan appearance. His triangular face shows the usual distinctive black and white pattern found on badgers, with brown or blackish "badges" marking the cheeks and a white stripe extending from the nose to the base of the head. Jack also has some rather large digging claws on his handpaws.

Personality: Jack is best described as aggressively innocuous, extraordinarily ordinary, and extremely average. He is neither especially smart, nor brave, nor ambitious. He’s not an idiot or a coward or lazy either, being around average in those areas. He is nice, but can get irritated with some people in understandable circumstances. The only real thing he can claim is humility. Jack is so ordinary that people often forget he is there, even when he is standing in the area. He blends into crowds very well.

Other notes: Jack has a pretty ordinary past and a pretty ordinary life, except for the fact that it seems almost unnaturally so. Literally everything about his life is average. Not one thing stands out save for how much he doesn’t stand out. He can’t really be considered a part of any groups, he has no tragic or exciting backstory, his fears and hopes are mundane, and he stands out so little his pet sitter once lost him in his backyard. He sometimes laughs though that he lives in a place called “Exotic Acres.”

looks good. I'd be worried about him being too mundane but your "other notes" just makes me intrigued.

If no one else has objected in the next 24 hours you can go ahead and join the golf game.

Yeah, that's actually what's funny about him. He's a paradox. He is so mundane that the fact nothing stands out and the universe seems to almost conspire to keep it that way for him is in and of itself something of note. Like, if he joined the golf game he'd almost certainly score par on every hole. People sometimes even have trouble seeing him because of how little he stands out. Then people notice that most people have SOMETHING of note about them, but he doesn't, and that fact becomes something of note, thus giving something that is beyond average. Because he is now seen as having something beyond average, he is no longer completely average, which looses the thing that made him beyond completely average which causes him to be average again and my head hurts now so I'll stop.

Storm replied to him, but there wasn't anything for him to say back and with the only exciting thing he's been involved with over, he just sort of seems like a part of the background. Like a ninja prop: something you look at and see, but the mind automatically ignores. Jack is supposed to be paradoxically plain, where there is so little that is noticable about him, that lack of notability is in and of itself notable. If he goes quiet, it becomes difficult to focus on him. It doesn't take long.

i mean, someone suddenly claimed she heard something, then identify what that something was, and THEN immediately say that it's nothing but seem really emotional about it would seem a bit sketchy to say the least, but then again i'm not known for my writing skill so maybe that didn't come across clear enough

are you doing a meta thing with Jack right now?

Guys, I wanna ask you guys 2 things:

1/ What ya guys think about a kidnapping arc here? Has that been done before? We have an entire neighborhood of rare, valuable animals roaming around, surely someone's gotta think of a way of making cash from that.

2/ I know this is pretty much impossible, with everyone of us having busy lives, some even work whole days and come home exhausted, but in an attempt of waking things up, I was wondering if we can try for a post rate of maybe 1 post every 2 days?

there was an abandoned kidnapping arc in another neighborhood, it only didn't work cause some key members dropped out. It could be interesting to try here, but I'm pretty sure it'd be best for the bad guys to avoid the deadly animals

and I'm fine with figuring out a way to skip the golf, it's fun irl, not so much in an RP.

Don't worry, this one won't hit the town. It'll just go through the fields outside of town. Better safe than sorry though!

In case anyone is wondering, yes, that's true. Kangaroos really can't go backwards. It's the reason they're on the Australian coat of arms along with emus who also can't go backwards. ^^
Aside from being iconic Australian creatures, because they can't move backwards they symbolise that our country is always and only moving forward.
