Beat Dissension!!!

This is a very simple concept. Everyone here has to count as high as they can, starting from 1 and working upwards. Double posting and multiple counts are not allowed. Try to beat the high score.

A high score can only be a high score if it is over 50. Who knows, this may never happen.

WRONG!

This is where the global mods come in. Any global mod (including Rick) can come in and reset the score back to 0 simply by posting. Therein lies the challenge. Who are we are playing against? Anyone with administrative or global moderator rights who can change or alter this thread. Forum moderators cannot reset the score, but they can play!

To help everyone out (and provide a beacon of good fortune), you will have the assistance of the three "Not the Comic" forum moderators (RandomGeekNamedBrent, CaptainPea, and Sleet), as well as myself. If we choose to do so, we can jump the count by 10 instead of by 1, but we can only do this if we will not drive the score over 50 in the process, OR set a new highest score. Also, once someone has "jumped the count", there must be at least 6 new posts before someone else can "jump the count". However, once you have "jumped the count", at least 24 hours must elapse before you are able to do it again.

Edit: to clarify, this means that once Forum Mod X has jumped the count, they must wait 24 hours before they can do it again. Forum Mod Y, however, needs to wait until 6 new posts have been made before they can jump the count. Then they must also wait 24 hours.

It was probably due to this thread not being a challenge because of moderator inactivity. Now this hopefully shouldn't be a problem.

20. Come to think of it, since it says Global Moderators, does that mean that the only active one being Dissension is allowed to stop this. That is ever steeper chances than before.

It's my interpretation that 24 hours and at least six posts must have elapsed before the count can be "jumped."

Oh no, the intention was that it was 6 posts before someone ELSE could do it, and 24 hours before you could do it again.

I say we put a 6 hour time between times each individual global mod can stop us. that makes it a bit more fair. 5

maybe a smaller amount of time, then. as it is, Diss can very easily stop us many, many times in a small amount of time and we have no hope.

Why not just make it members vs. moderators like the original? There are probably just as many members as moderators who come in here so I think it'd be a fair challenge to see how high each group could get.
