Short for "independent". Indie media generally is defined by not being involved with large corporations or well known professionals, or at least being an imitation of that.

Saying you like something "indie" is rather likely to get you labelled as a hipster.

If you can get an old one for $30 that was originally, what, a few hundred dollars? , I would say that's a nice price.

Well you're an old member to a lot of people! It's easy to not realize how many people you've "always been there" for. Also why a lot of people don't realize how sad they make people when they leave!

I know, it's just weird. Although you felt more "always been there" because you had a massive amount of posts, which people pretty much invariably judge you on when they join at first.

There are plenty of people out there who won't mind, especially if they know how (if it's possible) to fix it. Honestly, people willing to buy a used, outdated model of iPod probably aren't going to be picky enough to care, unless theres a plethora of options available to them.

The worst part is how true that is, the amount of fanfare people make on large forums about leaving is pretty much inversely proportional to how likely they are to return. If that isn't one of TvTrope's laws of Forums, it should be.
The first one's an even bigger problem, but they will never solve that.

I have the same feeling about Fall, really. I find it pretty for a day or two and then it just becomes unbearable. I like winter.Unfortunately I live in DC.

This year, we passed spring by completely, and instead got winter, followed by pouring rain with intermittent days of unbearable summer humidity.

Around here we get just enough snow and ice to close down schools if we get a storm, but not enough for that to happen more than twice a year. Which is a good balance, I guess.
