It was also my first serious work using Procreate, so the lining could have been better, but an interesting learning experience.

Brief jokes on what someone as small as Marion could do for a job on the Housepets Telegram led to this. XD

Plus, this kind of situation between the couple I thought was too funny not to do anything with it.

Just now realizing, despite have a ton of characters I want to involve with Housepets, I very rarely make direct fan art. Needs fixing one of these days.

Very nice work with the comics, D-Rock! :D
That's a very bad nightmare for Maxwell, have Grape cheat so much with Peanut... :? Anyway, that's not legit to ask a such question to King. :P
Oh, what an awful moment for Lois and Marion. And what a bad joke. :P What dog character is that, anyway?

That’s Devo, a background character revealed to be Lois’ dog at the end of the Teenage Squirrel arc.

I got a laugh out of it ... serves Devo right for channeling his inner Bino (...or was it his inner Tiger?).

Yeah, now I remind of him, he got only three appearances so far. I bet he wished to eat the squirrel by himself, though. :P

I just love the way Peanut looks in that skirt! I have to ask though, is Peanut gender bent or just doesn't care about what he wears? :?:

With Peanut, I'd be willing to assume that he just feels comfortable. I douvt that he cares about gender norms.

Really nice and funny picture Hagus. When I think of rage inducing board games, Hungry Hungry Hippos is definitely not on that list, but I suppose that King would have difficulty playing most board games without getting ticked off.

Nice draw of Peanut, biddyfox, and that outfit could be appropriate next time he'll play an imaginate game again as Juliet. ;) Good one, Hagus, it shows how King has little patience pretty much for anything (I agree with him about that game, though). :P

Nice work everyone! It's refreshing to see lots of great artists here. :D

No matter where I decide to go with my art from here, there's no denying that Rick Griffin's craft has affected me. Here's something I sketched from pretty much out of nowhere; something I got out of my system. If my characters ever existed in the Housepets! world, they would have to deal with one universal constant: every dog has a crush on Sasha. I-I'll see myself out...

Decide to pop into the art thread, and am immediately greeted with an eyeful of an image titled "Seductive_Sasha.jpg". Impressively high quality (kudos), though the subject matter perhaps borders on a bit too risqué for my taste/comfort (might just be the size of the image, however). Though I suppose it's not really too much worse than would show up in the comic, is it? 🤔 Been nearly a year since I read the comic in full so I'm just going off of memory there.

But I digress, very nice!

I guess the following two strips were still rattling through my subconscious when I made that: https://www.housepetscomic.com/comic/20 ... a-dub-dub/
https://www.housepetscomic.com/comic/20 ... s-all-wet/

Indeed, I sometimes wonder how aware Sasha really is of her influence on male dogs.

Her naivete, I think, only magnifies her charm just as her ditzyness reflects a very original (if slightly refracted) perception of the world and some real artistic (at least music). Again, I'd love to see her paired up in a girl-duo with Daisy.

They don’t get along.

Don’t worry, with her rules, Mirage is bluffing.

But King doesn’t need to know that.

Wow, that escalated quickly. I wonder though how many times King has been called that given the number of feral carnivores in Babylon Gardens?

He lives with Jack, who has shown that he is not above joking about eating someone. And also Natalie. I don’t doubt he’s heard that a few times.

In what was supposed to be Mirage’s debut, she would have entered into a fight with King as part of her story mode in the now-cancelled Fighters of Babylon. As soon as he saw her, he would have completely exploded on her. It wasn’t entirely unjustified, as Mirage setting up a tournament did end up leading to a greater evil being released. Despite fixing things to make amends, animosity with King would have remained. First impressions are important, after all.

Mirage likes Bailey, but Bailey is well aware that the two don’t like each other. Besides, King instigated this one.

So Mirage doesn't need to physically injure King to put him in his place then huh? I find it hard to believe that anybody wouldn't get along with Mirage honestly.

Then again if I got the brunt of King's rudeness several times I would have actually ACTED on some threats.

Re: Another bit of fanart

To be fair, I would imagine the threat of consumption is a pretty strong deterrent. And this tension is based pretty much on the fact that King hates all Celestials so far, even the ones that help him.

Funny thing is, in the planned story fight, Mirage would have won, but King would have continued his verbal assault. What shut him up was Mirage going Celestial. Not even a word of warning, just a form change with a look of “call me that again, see what happens.”

Now that I know Mirage can easily put King in his place, I think if King ever got on my nerves I would go and threaten to bring Mirage in to get King to apologize.
