More than likely I'm not doing the Otters or the foxes. I plan on doing the snake, shardul (tiger), kangaroo's and the Wolf.

The foxes might be fun, but I doubt that I'll be able to get my voice squeaky enough for the otters.Nitrosparxx wrote:More than likely I'm not doing the Otters or the foxes. I plan on doing the snake, shardul (tiger), kangaroo's and the Wolf.

The question isn't whether or not you can do an australian accent, the question is can you do a bad interpretation of an australian accent. The kangaroos were faking it for the zoo patrons if you remember correctly.Tha Housedog wrote:I can't do an Australian accent >.< The wolves, however...Nitrosparxx wrote:Nevermind, I'm not doin' kangaroos or the wolves. He's right. Just do as stereotypical an accent as you can.copper wrote:The question isn't whether or not you can do an australian accent, the question is can you do a bad interpretation of an australian accent. What I'd like to know is, how in the world did I somehow manage to land the position of Miles and NOT Rufus? Not complaining, but that's really funny, cause I think most everyone knows my Rufus voice by now, but if I impressed Brawler enough to spot Miles, I'll take it!
I'm going to go to a Furry Convention wearing a shirt that says "I'm a Furry. All I do I Pawrty" Please tell me you get that joke.

Well, I tried out for King and got the part--I did a "Brooklyn accent" but was told it was too thick, so I'm going to tone it down. Other than that, though, I was complimented on it (and apparently it was good enough to get the part).shadowhaz wrote:id love to try out for king but i dont know what kind of accent or tone he should have any ideas?

Re: Housepets: The Radio Show
In my imagination, King has a deeper voice than most of the other pets, to make him seem contradictory to his body. As for accent, I don't really imagine him having one, since he seems to be local, or at least American.shadowhaz wrote:id love to try out for king but i dont know what kind of accent or tone he should have any ideas?

Throwing all the parts together into one audio file. It'll probably be split into sections, depending on how Zander seperates it (no, Zander, you can't do it all by yourself).Tha Housedog wrote:What all comes with bring an editor?Teh Brawler wrote:If you apply for it, and make my incredibly low-set cut, then yes.Tha Housedog wrote:Shoot, can I be an editor?

That's funny, I always imagined him with a Brooklyn accent too. Joey Wheeler, to be precise.ChewyChewy wrote:Well, I tried out for King and got the part--I did a "Brooklyn accent" but was told it was too thick, so I'm going to tone it down. Awesome, Duke and Keene!
Now I need to try the other ferrets o_0
Also, I'm listed as one of the actors for the Zoo Animals. Is that for the kangaroos?

Let me listen to your Rufus again. I was trying to blow through all the auditions I had at once, so I may have skimmed through it pretty quickly.Challenger01 wrote:What I'd like to know is, how in the world did I somehow manage to land the position of Miles and NOT Rufus? We once had a conversation about how Sean Connery would play Pete in the TV Show of Housepets. I now have a Scottish accent ingrained in my head for Pete's voice.Spargo wrote:Wooo! I got Pete

Well I don't really live that far away from Scotland, I always thought I had a slight geordie accent but now that I think about it, it is really similar.

XD I hadn't even considered that, but yeah, I can actually see that. Probably because of the film DragonHeart. Best Scottish dragon ever!We once had a conversation about how Sean Connery would play Pete in the TV Show of Housepets. I now have a Scottish accent ingrained in my head for Pete's voice
They are pretty similar actually. One of my friends at Uni has a Scottish accent, and everyone assumes she's from Newcastle :pI always thought I had a slight geordie accent but now that I think about it, it is really similar.

Took me ages to do that voice. (The snake was a pain to do)Teh Brawler wrote:Shardul is a big kitty. :3Nitrosparxx wrote:Wow...I actually was able to get some of the zoo animals. :O
ONE QUESTION: is there a certain genre of music that you want for this show?

You still haven't auditioned for a musician/sound effects position, you know.

You don't have to make music that isn't MIDI to audition. I need to know that you have a grasp of music in general, not of a specific type.Nitrosparxx wrote:I KNOW, I KNOW, erg. I'm trying to find out how to make muisc that isn't...midi.
