But I remember hearing that it was mostly spam and role playing then. Not actual conversation. I'd prefer a slower chat thread over one that's 99% garbage.

Indeed Sonic! I posted in all three. The first relaunch had it in the Forum Games section, and it was fast paced and a lot of conversation. Most of the mods now were active members int it as well... Me, Brent, Sleet, Diss, Housefox, 44RONM10, Pea...

*giggles* When I quit moderating Not the Comic, it took three people to replace me. That was well after the era of one-or-more-per-week chat threads. *giggles*

I really should've expected this, but... the playoffs for the NHL are going on at work and the supervisors found a way to convert our TVs to show the game. Noone is arguing over this.

Also, hearing them all jump out of their seats when someone scores in Hockey is very amusing. I should write a book about it someday.

No, you use it as a doctoral thesis in sociology or psychology on the behaviors of the common male and team sports.... you could even make anthropological if you study it through time.
