It stormed here quite a bit earlier! Thankfully it didn't hail, 'cause my new car was outside!

Speaking of storms, anyone hear what happened to Joplin, MO? 116 dead; and my town barely missed a tornado warning.

'Course I've heard about it, I live in the state! I don't have anyone I know who lives there, though.

There are a lot of Missourites here! How cool is that?

I know of one other VA forumite, plus CaptainPea is from DC, which is close enough.

As far as I know, there is at least one forumite from the same state as me.

Virginia is so boring! Only good thing about my area is how close I am to both Busch Gardens/Water Country and the beach. (Same distance from both, roughly. ~30 minute drive to have fun all day!)

northern VA isn't so close to any big parks, but at least I live close to a mall. and I don't like doing things, so VA is fine for me.
also, I'll be going to ODU next year, so I'll be in that general area.

Here in Georgia it is fairly boring as well. Nothing But vast ammounts of historical markers in this town.

I can't really tell the difference between amusement parks because I'm not a fan of rollercoasters

you're wrong. nowhere is like Springfield, there's one in almost every state. it's not that crowded.

My last day is next Tuesday, then I have an Exam on Wednesday and Thursday. Graduate June 9th.

My official last day of school is the 17th of june >:c

Oh summer vacation, how I love/hate you!

I don't graduate until the 11th, so my last day of school, counting graduation practice, is the 10th. not including graduation practice, it's the 8th. not counting final exams, it's the 3rd.

By the way, have I mentioned my English teacher is awesome?

Why is (s)he awesome?

Well, let's see... in study hall, he reads bits out of the worst essays that he's grading. He once got up in the morning and drove to Washington D.C. because he "felt like it." We've had long discussions about everything from bacon guns to educational reform.

Oh, and he has a dry-erase board on his door which he writes something on each morning (Awkward sentence is awkward). Such as:

"It's Thursday. That is all."

"We have nothing to fear but fear itself. And... you know... zombies."

[Underneath a "days of school left" countdown that someone put on the board]: "School days until I can retire: 5,428."

"It's all fun and games 'til someone loses an eye. Or a cat. I don't know. I'm out of quotes. Leave me alone. NYAH!"

Some of those fall under the category of "You had to be there", but he's pretty fun to be around. :3

Either your teacher is insane and drove a long way away, or you just gave away your home state as being one of the ones bordering DC. so that would narrow it down to (accounting for a possible mixture of both options mentioned above):MD, VA, PA, DE, NC, WV, OH, KY, TN, or NJ. and just like that, I have eliminated 40 options for which state you live in. (unless your teacher is truly insane.)
