Re: Pet Friendly: Blue Peak Shore
Monique sat down on Homer's shoulder.
"Well, it's not quite unlike the story of the mouse and lion, eh heh, it's quite a story, now that you mention it," Monique said, trying to remember the details. She looked up a moment, then began.
"I met Shadaz about 2 years ago, he had his leg caught between two trees. I was flying through looking for lunch when I spotted him. I hadn't met any large predators yet. I honestly felt sorry for him. I really did. I flew down to his body and started looking at his wounds. I grabbed a handful of herbs and went to tend to his leg, then I noticed his chest. The poor thing was all scratched up! There was one worryingly big on his right lower shoulder so I went to stop that up with some herbs. The first time he spoke it startled me, I'd thought he was out. He asked why I was helping, and I told him it was the right thing to do of course. It was then I noticed the wound above his eye," Monique paused for a moment.
"Now, I knew a few herbs, but nothing that could take care of something like that. So I begged a nearby wolf-shaman for help and he agreed. During his care, which lasted 3 months, I asked him why he was so beat up. He was embarrassed to talk about it at first. So I just talked to him. His kindness and sweetness showed through. And then he told me how he got beat up. It was a fight over a female, you see. And he hadn't the heart to even fight the other male but he had insisted and well, down a tree Shadaz went! He'd later learned that the girl had put him up to it as well, they taunted him as he lay there, you see. I thought that was terrible and told him so. Also that he'd find his own special girl eventually, heh," Monique paused again, thinking about it.
"Spending 3 months with someone really let's you get to know a person you know? The shaman had let me dab medicine on to his chest, and I was careful and soft with my touch. Heh, so much so that he had growled in satisfaction when I did. When I caught him one time he was all embarrassed. I told him I didn't mind. He did have a fantastic body after all. His leg set eventually and he even tried to fake not being able to move after the shaman insisted he was perfectly fine. We said we'd miss each other's company, hugged, and went our separate ways. I thought that I'd never see him again and was surprised I was more then a little sad," Monique said, stopping to think a moment.

Pix looked really excited. "Such a beautiful story! You know, tourists love to sit under us and frolick because they think we bring good luck..." he scoffed. "As if a couple would sit at the table of someone eating for the same reason!" Then his expression changed to one of longing. Re: Pet Friendly: Blue Peak Shore
"Heh, well, about a week or two afterwards, I started feeling lonely. Almost sick. I didn't eat much, my parents worried about me, and I didn't want to say anything about Shadaz cause I didn't want to be made fun of. I finally spilled it to my uncle of course. He didn't tell me what he thought might be wrong with me of course. Of course I missed Shadaz, I didn't know it. So he advised me to go fly around the area I found him the first time. So I did look one day, at the same time, and lo and behold, he was there! Albeit with his head down in a paw and looking all droopy and melancholy. Heh, it's funny you think? A creature like him and a creature like me? Both feeling the same things at the same time? Eh heh, anyways, where was I," Monique stopped to think a moment.
"Oh yes, I instantly felt better as soon as I saw him. My heart leaped to my throat and the care I felt for him caring for his wounds returned. Even though then I knew what it was. I wondered if he'd felt the same. So, I flew down and landed on his nose. Surprising him with a yipe of course, heh. But I could see the delight and joy in his eyes as he grabbed me and hugged me tight, then he set me down a little embarrassed. I chuckled, hoping he did feel the same. We asked our welfare and had some small talk, then I mentioned how his chest was doing. It was healing nicely and you could see the muscles again. He said they were a little itchy and I offered to take a look. He agreed and laid down with his head on the roots and I crawled around his chest, looking at the wounds. Then I carefully got close to his face, and gave him a kiss," Monique said with a smile, remembering the first feelings.
"Then I darted away and apologized. But he was saddened that I did, and came up with a corny line about his lip hurting. I put my hands on my hips and told him if he wanted another one to just ask. And he did. We were just a tad worried at first. Then everyone didn't seem to mind that we were seeing each other and we just let young love take it's course. Sigh. After about a year though, we did worry. It made us sick. Sick to lose each other, sick to be taken apart, sick about whether we were doing the right thing. We're both endangered species, you see, and we were worried we might be being selfish and wrong. And so, we decided to seek advice from our ancestors. He stole a scroll from a tigress shaman. I got a few holy items from the shaman wolf. We had every intention of returning them. We were too embarrassed to ask for help ourselves, you see. We set the ritual up in the spot we found each other, then...BOOM!" Monique said, throwing her wings in the air.
"I drifted through the ether for some time. I knew that he was devastated, so I hoped and begged the nothing that I could somehow comfort him. Well, I was eventually whispered to by a soft voice, and thrown back into the world as a ghost. I found him and was going to appear, then I noticed what state he was in and had a different plan. I knew he had to grieve properly so I could only see him in a one time shot. I asked the wolf shaman to set up a meeting for us and knowing our intent was not ill, agreed. I gave him a few last words, and then we said goodbye. I then decided to track down family to see what had happened to them. And lo and behold, a poacher group had taken out half my tribe. And the only thing left was the scent of my cousin. And I've been following that since then," She said, sighing at the last.
"Although, I've been a tad, distracted by lost and worried souls, I want to help them you know," she said.

"So... How is he?". Flint asked, deciding he might as well strike up a conversation with the medic lady.

By now, a herd of nervous, tail-shuffling horses had surrounded the fox.Hotep the psychic wrote:"if this was a joke from me it would have been done already and you would not know it was me. im true to my word, this medicine is for your disease. it will taste bitter at first but the after taste should be like grapes. thats how it was for me years ago"anubis said
"And of course," said another, "You are not here to steal our pelts, or cut our spikes to make medicines out of them, hm?"

"What about the breed? Don't you even know the dog's looks?"xhunterko wrote:Monique shuffled her feet.

Again, Monique let her head down and shuffle her feet.
"I only know him by his smell," she said, "That's all I know."

"Well, my mom is a dance teacher, and my dad is a computer programmer." Shukaku replied, erasing a bit of the drawing and redoing it.valerio wrote:"I am happy you like it. And what do your humans do?"

Pix nodded. "I see. Then you really need a shaman: he or she can memorize the scent you remember and track down this mysterious dog."xhunterko wrote:Again, Monique let her head down and shuffle her feet.

The tail lashed warningly. "Your word, stranger. Will you stand for it to the end?"Hotep the psychic wrote:"of course not....decides i didnt even know you horses even lived on this island untill i was shown so. i didnt even beleive what i saw when i arrived, yet here i am in the middle of the herd without trouble." anubis said

Monique thought for a moment.
"You know, now that you say that, it never occurred to me to ask Mondo for help with that," she said, "He's a young shaman from a local village. Hm."
Then she wingpalmed.
"Oi, Monique you stupid girl!" She said, shaking her head.

Pix patted her back. "No need to say this: after all, you're still new to this. So, Salisgrave has a new shaman? The old one passed?"xhunterko wrote:Monique thought for a moment.

The 'unicorn' smiled. It wasn't a pleasant expression. "In this case, let's see..." And his spiked tail lashed straight at Anubis' eye!Hotep the psychic wrote:"if i must then i will. if this medicine fails i will not be able to try again. im confident in my abilities and my actions." anubis said

"Yes, and he was, rather rude during his passing if you ask me," she said, still mad after the 'welcoming' she had received from someone who was supposedly old and wise.
"But that's not what I'm upset about. I just realized, that, the building his scent originated from, was a hotel," Monique said, "I could very well just ask the personnel there for help. Right?"

"Worth a try. Want me to come with you?" He ogled at her. "Or would you rather ask Zahr to be your bodyguard?" His snout pointed at the tiger.
Re: Pet Friendly: Blue Peak Shore
Monique blushed a tad.
"Heh, I think it's best not to frighten the people we're trying to get help from," Monique said, "But, since I hardly know what to say or such, I would like your company. Ready when you are."

Alyse nodded. "You are welcome to do so. Blood is a nutrient. So, Levi, what will be your choice of territory for this contest?"xhunterko wrote:Khun shuddered slightly at the mention of the ghost. He only had a few bites of fish left, about two or three. Best not waste them, he thought, and ate one or two.
"Well, we'd have to get a couple sticks from somewhere then," Khun said, "Cause, a stick with steel in it against a stick without isn't a fair fight. Also, I don't think this wood covering can match steel."
He ate his last couple bites and set the carcass down, he then went to clean his sword in the water then stopped.
"Uh, can I?" He asked.

"Let's get started then! Follow me!" Pix took flight.
