"Delicious!" He said.
"These fish here rare?" He asked, before taking another bite.
"No," Reginald giggled. "It's like mama said: their *taste* is rare."
"Does any of you do parkour?" Alyse asked. "Levi here is good, I'll bet he'd love a challenge."

xhunterko wrote:"Monique!" Monique said to the cat, then returned to her perch on his head. Then she looked at the vixen.
"It's nice to meet you Monique." Shukaku said. As he walked into the mess room, he helped himself to some food.
valerio wrote:The mess room was teeming with animals busy eating all sorts of foods, while the human staff was busy attending their needs.
When the group walked in, two lean cheetas waved their arms to the newcomers. "Welcome back, gruffo!" one of them, whose crest was pure snow white, said. The other, with a jet black crest, tried to smile between his mouthful of chicken. "Been hiring already?" He then introduced himself to the toyger cat. "Charmed, chap: I'm Ferrari, and this voracious thing here is Lotus. Who might you be?"
"Nice to meet you two. I'm Shukaku." he replied.
xhunterko wrote:"Oh, don't worry I will. Now that she's gone though, how do you, cat, feel about ghosts?" The last she said to Shukaku.
"Ghosts are pretty cool in my opinion." Shukaku replied.

Anubis feeling close enough to the herd already stopped and started to think. "lets recap, the disease acts like a cold and after a long period of time the animal dies off. the horns are more fragile in the cold and even after tend to break off....well the answers simple after this" anubis thought "i think i may have figured it out, but to cure them or help. for one is to strengthen the horns, if im right the horn gets infected when they break off and with no way to aid that they leave it be and it gets infected with the disease. second would be to have them focus on a different way of use for the horn, this way they tend for them and horn loss isnt so much a problem...the question is how to do either of them?" anubis explained

The raven scratched under his beak. "I really don't know, kit: That 'horn' is more like a big nail rather than a bone with capillars and a marrow that could get infected. That's why it's so fragile and it regrows so fast. Not to mention that any infection coming from there would likely hit the brains or the eyes, or any facial nerves. This sickness is more akin to a variant of pneumonia."

"even nails can get infected or bleed. its also not on where the virus stops or stays its where ir enters and where it goes. by entering through the horn and passing through to its more comfertable area, the virus can do its job. another factor is you said that they go mad from pain and the disease." anubis pointed out thinking of a secondary way for the virus to spread

Oh good! Monique thought to Shukaku as she flew back on his head.

But I'm not kidding! The last cat that I appeared to in my ghostly form was scared so much she tried to bury herself in the sand. But you seem pretty cool so I think you can handle it. Oh, just Think back to me and I'll hear it. Oh, let's keep the 'I'm a ghost' to ourselves okay? Monique thought to him.

"Not afraid of ghosts eh? Ever seen one?" Monique said to him.

"Probably," Khun said after a gulp of fish. Though the truth of the matter was, he knew more then he was letting on. Thanks to his late night vigilante efforts in New York. A little smirk played across his face.

"Pay no heed to them," Homer said. He used his claw to take a whole pancake and gobble it down. "They like to tease. So, what do you think of our company?"
At that moment, came a lion. A veritable King of the Savannah, built like a stone god and a coppery mane like liquid fire around his head. He raised a paw to greet the cat. "Salute, city dweller. I am Cesare Bellicus, the Gladiator. Who you might be?"

Joldogard shook his head. "Sprinkling around won't do no good, they'll just avoid the grass and the rain and wind will wash it away anyway. or the shamans would've tried it. Forcing their will is of no use, either, only fuels their diffidence. You must go to them and earn their trust."

Monique's mouth fell open as the lion approached.

"Oh my," she said in awe of the creature.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Khun slowly took a bite of fish and swallowed it down.

"Oh, I'm all up for a run, once the rain clears," he said, then, after another bite, "However, as far as a stick fight, that all depends on Levi."

"If that ain't yer case, bub," said...an eagle. A veritable American eagle, huge and majestic as Cesare was in his way, with talons that shone like gold and a silvery beak. The creature was perching above the others, and a piece of raw meat laying over a plate. "Then what's yer business here?"
Homer cleared his throat. "That's another one you need to forgive, Shukaku. He's Atlas, one of our acrobatic performers together with Lotus and Ferrari. Too bad their attitude didn't rub off on him."
Atlas puffed up his chest with a snottish expression worthy of the proudest British gentleman. "Walkers! As if you had any right to feel to *my* level*"
The grizzly mocked a bow of his head. "In truth, we are unworthy of being in your presence."
Atlas turned an eye to the bear. "Hm. Will do, this time."
Then it was the grizzly's turn to address Shukaku. "So, anything about yourself other than your name? You surely sound as if you were trained to resist interrogatories."

Monique didn't like to get hot and bothered. But that eagle did it! Though she tried very hard not to say anything, and simply folded her arms and flew back to Shukaku's head.

You need to be brought low and humbled. She thought to her self looking at the thing. Then she flew over to Homer.

"Is it a bad thing to have guests at your table?" Monique whispered to the bear.

The horse cocked his head. "A 'fox'? You are quite far from your territory. And why would you meddle with our business, fox? What makes you think we *want* your 'help'.?"

hypernovatic wrote:"Well, I can draw somewhat. I can also write fairly well." Shukaku answered.
All of a sudden, the eagle's eyes were sparkling with joy. "Ohh, you can draw, eh?" And then he posed in all his majesty. "Then get some *serious* inspiration! And I want a sun shining behind me, as if kissing my glorious plummage!"
Homer facepawlmed. Cesare chuckled. "Now you better start, kitty, or we'll never hear the end of it. But relax." He patted Shukaku's shoulder and winked at him. "You'll get a new best friend if you do good."

At that moment, something fluttered and perched near Monique -a bat, a vulpine-muzzled bat whose fur held a faint blue glow. A native bat. "Well, hel-loo, tiny cute one."

Khun shuddered slightly at the mention of the ghost. He only had a few bites of fish left, about two or three. Best not waste them, he thought, and ate one or two.

"Well, we'd have to get a couple sticks from somewhere then," Khun said, "Cause, a stick with steel in it against a stick without isn't a fair fight. Also, I don't think this wood covering can match steel."

He ate his last couple bites and set the carcass down, he then went to clean his sword in the water then stopped.

"Uh, can I?" He asked.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Monique blinked for a moment. She then blinked again. Number one, was that another bat? She hadn't thought of them being on this island, at all. And number two, did, did it actually just hit on her? Monique blushed a tad, then noticed the glowing fur. She backed away a bit but remained friendly.

"H-hello," she managed with a shy wave, then she looked at it's fur again, "Your not a ghost are you?"

The bat chuckled. "Oh, my! Certainly not! My swarm and I are all allive and well, thank you. I'm Pix, and we perform with Atlas up there in the aerial show. And waht about you, strange cute thing without a smell?" He sniffed at the air. "Oh, and as for my...hue, you see, we are glowbats. Luminescent microorganisms grow within our fur, and help us catch prey. The micros feed off our nutrients and keep glowing so we can keep hunting. But eventually my swarm decided to stop being lazy. We want to see the world! We just joined the circus! Are you joining too?"

"What? A handsome bat such as yourself? I honestly don't see how you could have such a problem, even being shy," Monique said to him, trying to cheer him up, "As for what I'm doing here. I'm hanging with Shu." With that, she pointed to the house cat.

"Homer invited him over," Monique said, "And if you ask me, he's been the only welcoming soul of this circus we've met so far. Everyone else seems too eager to be rid of him if he has no interest to perform. It's almost as if poor Homer has broken a no guests allowed rule."
