Roo isn't the only one not keeping up, things on my end are going pretty slow too...
I'd still suggest checking if Mickey or Hotep would be willing to jump back in if they had a partner, we've kinda been neglecting them.

No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Sorry, I had a busy week with semester ending and with working lots of shifts. All that is done now though so I can catch up on the RPs and post normally again! Yay!

Ipost on these forums solely from my phone. With this information in mind I expect you to continue posting as often as usual and with the same length. If I can do it then you can do it. /s (That means it's a joke. Don't lynch me!)
Congrats on the move. I hope you settle in nicely since I know they can be a bit of a shock sometimes.

I wonder what Sandy will make of Socks' thoughts when she gets near enough to read him properly.

Buster and Deske, don't forget that there are several cop cars in front of the pet shop so Sandy, Noah and Rig will have to see those at some stage.
They're there because Kaylee accidentally blew the lid off a bin while the rubbish guy was collecting it and he thought it was a bomb and called it in. So everyone is being evacuated from the store.

I'm going to say yes, just because that gives crew #2 something to do without burning anything. (sent them out earlier)

EDIT: Uh, Deske, I probably should have mentioned this earlier, but I've been chatting with roo behind the scenes via PM a bit, and whats happening in the thread and what's being posted aren't quite the same.
You're seeing what sandy thinks is happening mentally, but socks abilities actually work completely differently from hers.

Oh cool. Could somebody perhaps throw pertinent information my direction so I can rewrite my posts to fit it better? If they don't work the same way then they shouldn't feel the same or be felt at all for that matter.Buster wrote: EDIT: Uh, Deske, I probably should have mentioned this earlier, but I've been chatting with roo behind the scenes via PM a bit, and whats happening in the thread and what's being posted aren't quite the same.

Re: OOC: Radients Vineyard.
This is all I sent to Buster:
Buster sent this back:Hlaoroo wrote:Socks' ability is a passive thing - he doesn't actually read people: rather their fears and pains just appear unbidden in his head. He has no control over it and can't block it out or stop it, even as much as he'd like to. So Sandy putting up a block to stop him reading her isn't going to have any effect since he's not actually telepathic. In fact he won't have any clue that the block is even there.
So you don't feel Socks' ability at work, nor does the block actually affect Socks. Whether or not you feel a block that Sandy created is up to you though. What Sandy's block does though is to stop you guys from reading Socks, that's it.Buster wrote:She's making (potentially grossly inaccurate) assumptions based on A) noticing he has several bits of thoughts that aren't his in his head, way too many to be on the receiving end of someone else's abilities, B) Identifying her too fast to be unfamiliar with mental abilities

My characters!
I got too many colors to remember. I'll put them here to see. Aren't they nice? Yep! Absolutely!

Sandy Chinchilla, Noah and Rig are back at the doghouse.
Sandy Dog, Kaylee, Holly and Amanda's dad are getting Sandy Dog a new bag. Amanda and Socks stayed in the car.
Bonnie and Jake are going in search of the vineyards.

How's this for a coincidence?
A few days ago a dog was rescued from a burning house here in Tasmania just before the house collapsed.
The dog was a golden retriever.
The dog's name?
Sandy.
Story here."

it's kinda funny how a character i specifically designed to mess with sandy, keeps winding up focused on everyone but him...

Nope.
Looking back I think they've been in the same room together but Bonnie has never seemed to notice Holly. Perhaps Holly should change that.

Re: OOC: Radients Vineyard.
So, I spent WAY TOO MUCH TIME today trying to come up with polite conversation topics, Bonnie and Mac could discuss, or how to shift her focus back to Holly without her sounding rude to Mac, and then I remembered her little spat with Rig and how rash Bonnie can be at times...
Also, I was almost ready to abort the whole 'Bonnie is Jealous over Jake' thing because Jake's lines were starting to remind me of the flimsy justifications my brother would come up with on the fly, (Which was kinda creepy) then I went, 'wait... he basically has the "superman package" that's not a justification, he's being honest...'
- - - - - -
So, who's waiting on who right now? cause i haven't a clue how to respond to that line from Deske, and not going to post again on the other front till neon and roo are caught up.

Re: OOC: Radients Vineyard.
So, yeah, i know Little Sandy having a second much darker personality, and an absolutely screwed up back story comes out of left field for most of you (Though there are three who knew some of the pieces in advance), I kinda have a habit of hiding a lot of the detail about a character so I can use it in the RP without it feeling too rehashed. Also so if something doesn't work down the road I can edit it without causing too too many problems for myself.
This concept was actually put together back when I was designing Bonnie, as Sandy's origin consisted of nothing more than "Jack made her, she's not entirely real" at the time, while my initial idea for Bonnie was more of a subtle-ish Yandere who wanted Big Sandy for either herself, or if he refused, her statue garden. the original idea behind her 'hideaway' and her transmutation powers; there were going to be petrified versions of her original family, Her old teacher, basically anyone who had ever 'abandoned' (i use that term loosely) her hidden away there. This got scrapped somewhere between her falling for rig and developing her now signature attitude.
A Sass factory with a mild inferiority complex, who wants to be the best but doesn't believe she can be, has far more depth... but I had put too much work into her dark side to just throw it out, so it 'migrated'. Bonnie's mentor and old family stayed hers, but they had no longer died at her hands. Her tertiary victims were rewritten into lab animals, given (admittedly pathetically bare-bones) details, and became Sandy's childhood 'family' who she witnessed the deaths of, and Bonnie's possessive broken dark side became Sandy's original self, (but instead of wanting to hold onto people in stone form, she wants to hold onto the delusions she's crafted, violently if need be) with Sandy being a secondary personality born of the grief and survivor's guilt driving her to misuse her powers against her own mind.
Also, the reason for the no-upgrade rule on her powers is being retconed from "Painful Feedback" to "04 is actively trying to stop anything that could let her other half get past the mental blocks". ...So technically still painful feedback, but with a less arbitrary reason.

Gee, y'sure did put a lot more effort into your characters than I did in mine. I mean, he's got a backstory but nothing with such depth. I'm diggin' it.
