I would have been completely fine with a malicious scheme designed to undermine and humiliate King, but this...

I approve wholeheartedly of this new development.
Also, I got a new avatar. And as much I would hate to shun all the work CaptainPea put into my last one, I am quite pleased with my new one. :3

I won't deny that this is very funny.
But...

Oh, no denying it is hilarious! I loved the 5th and 6th panels.
This is just such a departure from the norm.... kind of took me by surprise!

In all honesty, I wouldn't say this is above the rating any more than your standard Warner Brothers cartoon from back in the day (I say 'back in the day' as if I'm actually old; haha).

Okay stop.
This only touches the PG line. Seriously. I could name several dozen Saturday morning cartoons where this could or has occurred. Want me to start?

(Every Warner Brothers cartoon up to and including Animaniacs.)

I can name shows outside of Saturday Morning!
It isn't above rating, just kind of unusual for this usually G comic that is rated PG. Just took me by surprise.
Miles is an awesome pack leader.

Actually I would like that. I don't mean that in some sort of snarky way, I'm actually curious. I mean, worse has been suggested ("No no no! Fingerprints!"), but this straightforward?

This is kind of pushing the P.G. rating thing.
I had a similar reaction Monday with the whole mention of the "love whip" reference. What do you guys think it meant?

Yes. Yes this straightforward. This would be MILD for Animaniacs.

That's what you're reacting to, is G to PG whiplash. Pun intended.

I find this hilarious and fully within the established rating.it's only pushing the rating because of our knowledge. anyone who shouldn't see things above the rating won't see anything above the rating.
and I love panel 6. I think this will be a new reaction image to be used often on the forums.

It's the pink implement Duchess is holding (that isn't handcuffs). That's what I thought "love whip" meant.

If, for some ungodly reason, someone decides to make a shipping banner of these two, that is the perfect picture for it.

I think Diss meant that of the two implements she is holding, the "love whip" is the one that is not the handcuffs and is quite clearly a whip.

Best King face i ever seen and it was worth it (Hint: He's human). That, and seeing Miles reading the newspaper while all of this is happening like he's King's dad makes it even funnier X3
The only thing i wanted to say about the topic of rating is this: crap gets past the radar all the time on television and movies, but it's only because they aren't explicit about it some of the times. Ren and Stimpy and Rocco's modern life are good examples.
Sleet wrote:That's hardly a children's show though.
And yet it was considered one because most kids didn't get the jokes. It was just funny because it was much more different at the time. they even did kitty litter scooping, but with lesser detail.

Oh, alright.
I got a chuckle out the last three panels myself. Certainly a twist from the start of the arc.
and I think King may be temporarily blind.

Ooooooh, good point. I suppose he must have
somewhere in mind to run to "very quickly". Fox would make the most sense.
GameCobra wrote:And yet it was considered one because most kids didn't get the jokes. It was just funny because it was much more different at the time. they even did kitty litter scooping, but with lesser detail.
That's pretty much what I was gonna say.

The only reason I didn't watch the show right along with every other cartoon in that time block (right after kids got home from school, by the way) is because my parents didn't like the show. I never saw anything wrong with it when I was younger. Same with Rocco's Modern Life, Aaah! Real Monsters, Angry Beavers, and others.
