Re: Online/Offline Gaming? Do you play any?

Post by ToastyJester »

Recently I've started my playing of Disgaea on my PSP again, but back before I had all my good games lent out to friends, I used to play a lot of games on my Xbox. The ones I played a lot were Bioshock, GTA 4, RE 5, and Fallout 3. I played a bunch of other games but those are the ones I enjoyed playing the most. RPG's are probably my favorite genre, but I also enjoy a good Shooter game (If it has a good storyline and is fun to play) and Horror games (Recently played the Penumbra series. Some creepy stuff there.)

On the computer I mainly used it for Sims 3, Garrysmod, and any games that are computer only that I missed out on (Fallout 1 and 2 made last year's summer fun)

I used to play online games a lot, but eventually I got tired of majority of online games.

I recently started playing a weekly 4th edition D&D session. That's been pretty fun, although I may have to opt out already since college starts in less than a week. With all the supplements it's actually more enjoyable than 3.5 imho. Mind you both games still have their flaws.

I use to play many console games. i however forsaken the console life for a life of World of Warcraft.

I still play Left4Dead and Team Fortress 2 from time to time, but for the most part, WoW.

Also, naysayers say what they must ~ WoW is actually pretty darn interesting when you get into it :D

You're right, it definitely is. But once you get out of it, nothing can make you play it again.....

Except for the extended story they keep adding, the extra content they add during patches, the expansions...

The game has alot more added to the game during patch days as well and for the most part. each patch is usually added with notable stuff such as more dungeons, more PvP, more quests, etc. etc. and extended story line content, and the game has a really interesting story. *loves undead and dragons*

That may be fun for some people, but seriously, I played WoW for a long time, and I recently just stopped. You know, got bored. Heck, I even played Guitar Hero more...... actually, I played that game for a loooooooooong time..... 2 years . And I'm still not bored, mainly because I didn't achieve the unachievable yet.......

I played TF2 a little once. My friend recently got me Half Life Anthology though, which means I got TFC : D

... Which is oddly disappointing. Its not the graphics that bum me out >: I just didn't find it fun.

Well, for the DS, I mostly play Pokemon and the Megaman Starforce series.

For the Wii, I usually play Rock Band 2 and SSBB (rare)

For the PS3 I play TF2 (BURN, SPY! BURN!!!) a little.

if you want a challenge *read: to play an amateur* I'd be happy to oblige. >83

...Seriously though, Valve/EA really messed up on the PS3 port of the Orange Box. Are people still getting invisastabed?

Please excuse me. My TF2 Fanboy is about to show.

The Xbox 360 version has gotten a few patches, to fix some of the worst exploits, like the auto-crit melee exploit, needle boosting, and so on.

The PS3 has gotten absolutely none. Spies can backstab people while cloaked, or even disguised without breaking disguise.

Neither of these versions have gotten the item updates. Valve has given the PS3 the proverbial shaft, saying that it's too difficult to develop for, and Gabe Newell himself said he didn't like the PS3. So it will get no updates.

The 360 might, but they've been saying that it would get an update since the scout update, and even before that they said "we're working on it." Yeah, right. Furthermore, it will cost money for the TF2 update for the 360.

This is why I play TF2 PC. To bad there's all this drama about the halo hat.

NOTE:

I got my copy of TOB when my computer was nonexistant, and the possibility of me getting one was very slim, so it was either get a cr&ppy version of four kick a&s games, or never play them for all I knew :B

Well, I got the Orange Box for the Xbox 360 AND the PC. Because I was tired of floating sentries. I had the 360 version first, and I'm glad I upgraded my PC to play TF2.

I think this kind of fits the thread, but, for those of us who have a DS, I just recently finished the main story line for "Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box". The Professor Layton series is one of my favorites and I"m anxious for the next two to come out, as well as the apparent animated movie. Any thoughts on the games and/or series?
