I don't think writing will help my mother deal with the loss of hers though. Nobody in the family really writes. I'm trying to think of something that can keep her mind off of it. So far its not working. Though I'm not gonna give up. And honestly the only way that I can write is with a co-writer so there is that. >_<

I really hope you and your mother get through it okay.

I've re-written the entire first chapter, with an aim to re-writing the whole thing.

To avoid confusion: Small Lesser Taratect is the species. He gives himself the name Orion in chapter 3, which takes place after this scene.

Naturally he would have to survive it since he is the main character and without him the story ends here. LOL Also, in Pokemon battles. Pokemon never die.

Well, book 3 could have ended with Orion actually dying, and it would have worked just as well.

Whether Pokemon die depends on whether you're doing a Nuzlocke Challenge or not, heh.

I know that but I mean in the canon games Pokemon don't die. I do believe they die in the anime because of the episode about Charmander dying if its tail flame goes out.

Hmm. Having finished my science experiments, I may as well go for another expedition. On the way out, I command the frog to salute at me... which, hilariously, it does. The way its webbed foot hangs results in an ooh, sailor pose that has me hissing in laughter. Oh wow! Alex Jones was right, they are turning the frigging frogs gay!

I so needed that cheer up. Thanks frog! I return the salute, stand him at ease, and head out.

Yup. Made it out of the scales of an Elroe Baladorado, massive snakes.

He's happy because he's just spent ages scraping rotten skin off the scales, before putting it all back together with silk, and the result works.
