Sleet's a university student. My high school had more than a dozen soda vending machines.

I know, I didn't want to use my current schooling as an example as I'm fairly certain my community college doesn't have a cafeteria.

There are some students at my school who carry around liters of soda. Ignoring the health problems of drinking a lot of soda habitually, how can you possibly be that thirsty that you can't carry around a smaller container?

I believe the official policy is that we can only have water, but only a few of the teachers seem to care about it.

not that drinking alot of coke is inherently wierd, but the people you usually see carrying more than a 20oz container of pop are usually some of the least pleasant people you'll ever meet
at least in my years of expierience at the local comic and gaming shop

You know, I have never seen someone carrying a soda at my school. Of any size.
We are only supposed to have water in the classrooms, but people don't even bring it in their packed lunch.

I drink Soda often. My fridge in my dorm is currently stocked wit Diet Dr. Pepper, Diet Sunkist, Diet grape soda, and Vanilla Coke Zero. (yes, I drink diet soda, don't judge me)

That reminds me of something I heard once.

I tend to avoid darker sodas by principle. I know they're not actually much worse than any other soda, but it still makes me feel better. It's a psychological thing. I'm weird like that. 8[

I also don't understand the sentiment of drinking soda to quench thirst. I'm quite certain that the massive levels of sodium and sugar would better serve sucking your throat dry. I drink soda for the flavor. If it was about satiating thirst, water is and always will be the only option for me. For that, I tend to drink a glass of water a couple times a day, usually in the morning when I wake up and before I go to bed at night.

I should really drink more water. But eh.

and I don't get diet soda when I eat out, I usually get Sprite. The diet soda is just for when I'm in my room and want to drink something.

Dark soda is my favorite! Though I like most kinds of not-diet soda.

Also, soda doesn't have that much sodium. Sugar, on the other hand, of course.
