Addison frowned when Parker rubbed her head. He was treating her like a kid, which she was normally fine with, but even kids know when somebody was hiding things from them--like Parker was now. She grabbed his wrist and glared at him, meaning to say exactly what she'd been thinking, but Summer's arrival interrupted her. Addison grinned half-heartedly at Summer, but didn't jump to hug her. "Hiya Summer!" she greeted. She let go of Parker and sighed quietly.

Addison hugged Summer back. "I'm doin' great Summer!" She let go and looked at her toes. "Heh...it's funny that you mention D-Danim...I really wanted to say I'm sorry for running off, right after I promised you I'd stay with someone all the time." Addison winced, half-expecting Summer to yell at her. "B-but it's just that...well, Ras and Alex looked really happy together and I was just getting in their way. And don't say I wasn't, 'cause I know I was." It was obvious Addison had given this a lot of thought. "And they were really happy, you know? I just didn't wanna rain on their parade..."

Summer nodded in understanding as she placed a paw on Addison's head stroking it back gently. "That was thoughtful of you, Addison." the Dalmatian mix said with a smile. Then she continued after a short pause. "Heh...I've almost forgotten how much you've grown, kiddo." She walked over to Parker's bedside. "Just don't grow up too much...and be more careful next time, okay?" she added, looking back at the orange-furred kitten before turning toward Parker and taking his paw in hers.

At the same time as Summer said it, Parker had also said, "That was really thoughtful of you, Addy."

Parker looked at Summer filled with a happiness that was mostly true, though Addison was right. He WAS hiding something, but it would take quite a bit to bring that out.

Addison shrugged and smiled. It was good to get that off her mind. "I will Summer. That's a super duper extra promise!" She glanced at Summer and Parker, the quickly looked away again. Had they always done that...paw-holding thing? She suddeny couldn't remember. "So what were you guys up to yesterday? I played Ninja Princesses from Outer Space and played in the rain, but I think I missed some things." She gestured towards their paws with a wide grin.

Summer looked down at their paws after Addison had gestured toward them. She hadn't even been thinking about taking Parker's paw. It sort of just happened. "Oh...um...I guess some things did happen," she replied, rubbing the back of her neck nervously.

Parker turned a nice shade of red and rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "N-nothing much..." he said, telling the truth, though it probably wouldn't be perceived that way.

"Oh come on!" Addison giggled. She couldn't help but think Parker looked funny as he turned red."That's "nothing" alright!" She laughed and continued, "But it's okay. It's not exactly a curveball outta nowhere, you know?" Addison cleared her throat, and tried to keep herself from giggling. "What else happened? Besides...this," she pointed at the two, and began giggling again.

After a long snow fight, the dog and the human ended all full of snow on their clothes and fur. Walking lazily, they walked over at the same bench they sat on earlier and sat down "Dimitri..." Eliot said with a tired tone "Yeah?" Dimitri replied, panting. "I love this place" "I know, I love it, too... I don't want to go back home" Dimitri said, relaxing on the bench, closing his eyes. "Me neither... So, what now?" Eliel asked with a cheerful smile and attitude "Well..." Dimitri said with a sigh "We can go to the corner store or go to the hospital" "To visit your friend uh... Parker, right?" "Yeah" Dimitri's tail started to wag "Well, we should pay him a visit, if you want me to come, of course!" Eliot said, rubbing his neck with his hand "Sure, you can come too, lets go!" Dimitri got off the bench and started to jump because of the excitement "Come on!" "Aww... Now I have to walk" Dimitri's "dad" got off the chair and followed the dog.
As Eliot and Dimitri were walking out of the park, Dimitri was telling a little bit of what he did earlier in this new place till he noticed Locke and a... rat? talking to each other "Hey, look! it's Locke" Dimitri pointed, "Isn't that the dog you were talking about while we were eating breakfast" Eliot asked, and Dimitri nodded "Yup". "Hey, good morning, Locke and good morning to you, whoever you are!" Dimitri saluted both of the animals with a wave.

The Chinchilla made a -_- face before smiling and chuckling. "Good one, Janus," he replied as he walked across the table to the Czech Wolf and looked up at him while holding out his paw to shake that of the canine. "You're a much more friendly character than the other." Darren added.

"You should see him dance." Jasper said to Darren, grinning as he ate his last piece of food. He picked up his plate, and brought it to the sink setting it inside and turning the tap on for a moment to rinse it. He turned back around, and walked past Janus, ruffling the fur ontop of his head as he did. "I'm going to retrieve my bandanna... I'll be right back!" With a smile, he left the room and headed up the stairs.

Addison huffed, and crossed her arms. Too young? Too young!?"But--" she cut herself off. Summer had just said she was growing up, why ruin that by acting like a baby? "Okay," she hissed through clenched teeth. Then she sat back in a defiant silence and glared at the Summer and Parker. If they were gonna call her too young, they would have to start a conversation-- she wasn't saying a word.

"Well, it's ok to me, I have no problems with it. I just did not expect all this, but hey! cheer up, there is nothing wrong with this... I think" Dimitri said with a smile. The ambulance doors slammed shut with a loud Bang as it started to drive off in a hurry. A few bumps caused Dale to grunt, but throughout the entirety of the trip, he laid quietly, eyes closed.

Kaylee sat next to Dale, her paw in his, for the entirety of the ambulance ride. She silently hoped that Dale would be okay, and that was all she could do but wait.

Parker couldn't resist thinking that even when Addison glared at them, she was cute. And since it didn't seem like anyone else would start up a conversation, he decided to ask, "Hey, Addy, are you hungry?"

The ambulance came to almost a screeching stop as it arrived at the small vet clinic, and the doors swung open once more.

"Cat, male. Internal trauma, Ringer in vein, blood loss close to critical!"
The staff moved the stretcher toward the PET Scan room.
"Anyone knows what happened?" asked one of the nurses.
The paramedic shook his head. "No such luck. Found him in the cellar of a collapsed house. No external injuries." And that was true, since they had to cut his shirt and pants, finding none on his body. "All we know is that this guy played Houdini out of the pound, yesterday night. Sheriff says to keep an eye on him."

Hubert appeared in front of Parker's eyes. "The trickster is here, mortal! Be ready as you never was before. I cannot fight for you, I am sorry. If you want a fighting chance, should the moment come, tell your mate to knock you out."

Kaylee followed the stretcher out of the ambulance and all the way into the waiting room of the clinic. She couldn't go any farther, so she sat in one of the chairs, despairing, yet hopeful for Dale's survival.

Parker listened to the voice in his head and waited until the stretcher passed by his room to say, "Dale's here, and he doesn't look good."
