Re: Do you collect anything?
Update for my Playchoice 10 game lineup.
I now have the following games in my cabinet:
• Super Mario Brothers
• Super Mario Brothers 2
• Super Mario Brothers 3
• Metroid
• Rescue Rangers
• Mega Man 3
• Rockin' Kats
• The Goonies
• Nintendo World Cup
• Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!!
You can see some gameplay by nesguide on Youtube by clicking on any of the game names.
By joining a forum that specializes in arcade machines, I was able to find and trade for many of the rarer Playchoice 10 boards.
This is how I managed to come across Metroid, Mega Man 3, Rockin' Kats, and Nintendo World Cup at a reasonable price.
Rockin' Kats in particular was extremely hard to track down. Atlus publishes games that are doomed to obscure rarity, and this one was no exception.
There were 54 games total made for the Playchoice 10 arcade machine, but the board can only hold up to 10 at a time.
These games all play like their NES counterparts, save for a few differences in some of the games.
Of the list of available games, which 10 games would you want in a dedicated arcade cabinet?

What do you mean that's not what the signature is for?

Books by certain authors (F. Scott Fitzgerald, Richard Russo), old Walt Kelly and Charles Schultz books older than 1975, Some Asterix stuff, Moroccan rugs, World War One items (used to; sold most of `em), assorted PVC figures (an Asterix chess set, for example).

I collect essential oils because I have a diffuser and I like my room to smell good.
Re: Do you collect anything?
A number of things over the years; anything I could find depicting wolves, classic NES games, Power Rangers Super Megaforce Ranger Keys while they were being produced, and currently bottle caps.

You sure you're not a necromancer, Weston? All these dead threads keep coming back to life
I collect playing cards (really fancy ones) and fossils. Though half the fun of collecting fossils is going out into the field and finding them myself.

Jes'sentimental, I guess. (... or "sedimental" (That's a geology joke. ).) Hate to see a good thread unravel.CuriousCnidarian wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 12:05 am You sure you're not a necromancer, Weston? All these dead threads keep coming back to life

When JayBarker was briefly back on the forum and active, he revived a LOT of dead threads. You trying to beat his record? XD

Let’s try to stay on topic.

Right now I am seemingly collecting gnats since as soon as I get rid of one of them, two more end up showing up. >_<

Re: Do you collect anything?
Hmmm... this is a good question, actually.
I don't think I could say I collect anything really tangible, but I've long had a propensity for committing weird little ideas, details of things, other mental odds and ends to memory, even before I took up writing and songwriting to get some use out of them.
I'd certainly see the argument if somebody told me I had a collector's mindset about the stuff I keep in my head.

Oh, yeah, got a good amount of those Halo Megabloks figures. Even customized some that I had repeats have. There was a downside to blind bags.

Which is why I always worried about trying to collect anything from a random source because more likely than not I would get a repeat and it would drive my OCD insane.

Re: Do you collect anything?
Too bad when I was younger I don't think my parents would let me use spray paint. This would be reinforced when my younger sister and cousin who were in elementary school got ahold of green spray paint and did an "art project" on our shed door.
