Joel was my favorite character. I was crushed when he was turned from a human.

I would like King to stay in the story. I have a feeling he'll understand the "true meaning of Christmass" (or generic life lesson) in this arc. Iwon't mind him becoming a human ba ck, but still staying in the story, let's see what Ricky has in store for us.

I'd say I agree with this sentiment. I'm glad that it's up to him to make the decision (and I hope that he doesn't regret the decision he makes) but I'd be happy with either decision as long as Joel/King stayed in the story.

What'd REALLY be interesting (though this might result in the story continuing further) would be if there were some way to have BOTH: have Joel and King become separate characters.

Really like that panel 3 with Sabrina. She just seems so wise all of a sudden when she says that. Sabrina seems to have this enjoyable habit to put weight on her words for any boy she meets. I have to wonder how often she does this to Fido? @_@

I feel a bit sad about this, since it seems like I think this is gonna lead into a heart stringing situation where King's choice is influenced by one of his new friends.

Might be looking too much into it but I could see this turning heart stringing like, "It's a Wonderful Dog's Life"

Whatever happens, I'm sure it will...

A-Lead to plenty of backseat storytellers second guessing Rick.

B-Be amusing to watch.

rickgriffin wrote:Okay, this wasn't something that quite fit in the exposition and isn't completely necessary to fully explain, but I will explain it here: there was an issue with transforming King into a dog. His soul had to be transferred to dog heaven; however, the rules to get into dog heaven are much more lenient. He's still got some human-rooted bitterness inside him, and some of the celestial bureaucrats think that basically handing him a free pass is unfair. That's why his soul is in limbo (but not Limbo, or the game limbo) until he either fully embraces being a dog or else goes back to being a human.
Ah, that make sense. Poor King. Its either one of the other for King at this point.

Sorta.

It can also be annoying, depending on which avenue of speculation people take.

Mostly, though, I derive enjoyment from it.

I don't think they mean that the speculation itself is the irritating part. It's when the speculation gets out of control. sorta like when it comes to shipping on these forums.

So people speculate its what they do. If your getting annoyed by peoples ships, speculations, or anything else. I sincerely think you are the one with the problem. (Not you specifically)

Nothing more to add.

Yep right again (but it was obvious anyway) I wonder who exactly took it? And it looks like the Cosmic Nerds are just that a bunch of Nerds and the big thing about the game is most likely some bet between the three of them, or at least Dragon and Pete.

Speculation is fun and all but you gotta make it believable and reasonable.

That is most likely what drives people crazy abut shipping, it cool to have theories or fan-fiction if people want to create an alternative to a story element that is fine for enjoyment. Sometimes people take it too far when they force it onto other people and kind of don't put it to the side is where people find it annoying.

Oh a new comic, man King those tears still get to me sometimes.

Yaknow, King is not a character I particularly like, but I enjoy the things that happen around him. Particularly when Sabrina is involved. Well, he's adorable at least, I guess.

Seeing him trying to choke Sabrina like that surprised me. She's a charming young woman afterall!

Nobody but King can even see it (except possibly other demibeings like Pete). It was probably picked up with the rest of the garbage.

Fox doesn't seem like the type to dig through the garbage. He may be a dog, but he seems a bit more dignified than that.

Don't recall hearing that only King can see it. As for Fox, i'm just thinking out of the dogs that would grab it, he would be the most likely one i could think of since he might've had his dog instincts kick in and he felt he had to return the watch to someone, even if he didn't know. If that's the case, it would be funny if it landed in the K-9 unit's locker room or something.

No its not that no one else can see it its that Sabrina and Tarot can't "Magically see it" to tell him where it is. Rick explained in the comments.

Man, I feel really sorry for King when I see him crying like that. And he's on his own, too, Sabrina and Tarot can't help him!

I just hope no-one with bad intentions finds it.
