I honestly don't see how a firearm would be PG13, I mean, as long nobody's getting killed by it.

I would agree with redmarker on that one. Something like the thing in your signature? Perfectly fine. A picture showing someone being shot? Not so much.

What's your favorite dessert? I'll do a more professional painting of a bunny spin on it. The one above is... rushed.

Wait a minute!!! I'm not the appetizer!!

I don't see any reason why your drawings aren't good enough, Zander. They are great! If I wanted anything drawn, you'd be the fourth person I asked for a commission.

No one should cry because they aren't good enough for whatever... it means it's a fuel to try harder and move forward! I can show you people that make me feel dead inside from how good they are and yet I learned very quickly that it won't help to just sit back and say, "I wish could". You gotta go for it!

I used to have the same problem but getting better isn't about drawing a lot. It's about understanding how to draw and how everything works. Understanding why a line should look that way comes after you have the dexterity in your hand to put what you want and not what your hand wants. Draw lines going down long ways a piece of copy paper. Draw it continuously without stopping and try to keep it straight. Do it continually, one after the other front and back of the page over and over until you can draw straight lines. Then practice curving the lines where you want to instead of your instinct doing it for you. Then do circles. Draw them small and then gradually get bigger. You may have done this or not but it's always good to practice having control over your hand ;)

On that note I just finished the picture of Bunny Gelato for Sleet! I'll post it.

That looks Good Box! :D In answer to the above. I have practiced like that And I have a good grasp on anatomy but things still are not comming togeather right... It is annoying and odd. I know what I want, and I can draw pieces of it perfectly. When I try to put them togeather though, it doesn't work out right. :(

hahaha My sketchbooks are full of the same thing! Random arms, legs, and heads. Now there are more torsos involved but the combination of them is hard to get down if you don't acknowledge that they all have to fit together. Muscles are very interesting forms. If you can pick up some meat from the local market (butcher shop if possible) and cut it up for yourself. If that doesn't work I recommend sculpting to get the mass down. I've always admired Japanese style processing. Mannequins are simply the most important thing ever! Rough the form in and then detail over it. That's what I started doing. Same thing with drawing furries... it's the nose that's so difficult most of the time because the dimensions are hard to just draw flat out without some underlying sketchwork. For that I recommend the circle head. Add the muzzle via box shape. Then detail on top of it. However what works for one artist will not work for another... why I don't know but you just have to keep at it. Drawing from other drawings is helpful sometimes but drawing from what you see in real life (not drawn) is the best thing to learn how to represent form in anything.

If you guys really want to see some amazing artwork look up Conceptart.org and check out the sketchbooks! I cringe in fear at what I'm going to have to compare with in my career when I go there. X3

Thaqnk you Shadow, and you to Box. That is an interesting though Box, But I am already doing that. One can only go so far in realism before they become a photocopier. I lean more twards the animation/cartooning side of things.

I agree with the photocopier thing... sadly I am one. *hangs head... BUT! I am now going toward cartoons!

Okay well after looking back two pages at that drawing I can say you don't have a problem with anything but foreshortening and perspective which is the most annoying thing to keep track of... best thing is draw more things with exaggerated angles and such...

I'm going to post a picture that isn't what I've done but it has to do with foreshortening okay? I hope that's allowed on this thread... if not I'll take it down in the case that I'm informed it isn't.

Okay this guy knows his perspective. And half of all anime uses it to draw out the importance of something, someone, or a particular action. In this case... the height.

After so many comments about the food I'm going to blame the red background for how it makes you hungry. It's an old art trick. Every resteraunt that uses red in the walls or lights is trying to make you hungrier... hehehe ;3

True, but I never get any time anymore. I have to keep working and working. Getting shocked and burned and exausted. I will try to draw more, but I don't know when I can..

I paint in real life though and the program is designed to mimic it so it's not like I'm new to it completely. I've worked primarily in acrylics and oils but I can't stand watercolors. I could put up a picture of my real work... I think I'll add it below. It's of a hallway inspired by Oblivion IV the Elder Scrolls IV.

Rick Griffin's DA page astounds me with the shading on the figures in the color images. I may have to ask him for tips.

Well, I wish I could do something like this and also I want only to complain about shading on my drawings. Right now shading is far away, on the top of my list are more other things, which I must improve before taking up with shading ;)
