Oh, well sure, if you want. Here's a link...

http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/03/a ... -post.html

It's the one called The Day the Pony Stood Still. You can even vote for it, if you have a google account...

Alright, everypony! ;) I finally had to see what all the fuss on the 'net was about, so I went and watched the first few episodes on YouTube... And then I proceeded to watch the rest of the series as well in a single afternoon. I... I'm... I'm hooked! Or should I say 'hoofed'? I never thought MLP: FiM could be so entertaining and funny and interesting! Please reassure me I'm not the only twenty-something male university student who enjoys this show?

i'm actually 16, but your not the only one
most of the fans are exactly like you

also hooked is more appropriate
'hoof' would be more used for things like 'let me give you a hoof (hand)'

I watched about the first 7 (or 8?) episodes. It's well-written and produced overall, but I can say it's not for me. Though I'd probably like it a lot better if there didn't have to be some kind of lesson by the end of each episode.

On the other hand, I find most of the fan-stuff to be awesome.

Of course you aren't! I'm a 21-year-old university student who's maybe male. You're far from the oldest male fan.

It's widely agreed that the first two episodes were sort of terrible so if you tried to watch those, watch any of the episodes past them.

Yea that one's terrible too (my opinion though, not general consensus (and he probably would have disliked the show more if he had reached the end)). I'd suggest Look Before You Sleep.

Wha? It must be the people you hang around with, because the general consensus that I've noticed is that a lot of people would like a return to the epic storyline of those first two...

Oh dang. I didn't mean any disrespect to the people you hang around with or anything...

I still support Fall Weather Friends as the best introduction for self-conscious newcomers.

No offense taken. The FiM community I hang around the most is the one that came about when the thread about it on the SomethingAwful forums was closed and forbidden to reopen (http://www.mlponies.com/forums/index.php). I watch it more for the comedy, the characters and the world-building, and not the mythology and adventuring aspects.

How do you know you're too insecure? When one person posting that they dislike something that you like makes you feel like a weirdo
Man, I could say too many things, here but...seriously, don't feel that way. Liking every episode of FiM just means you have a very wide range of taste.

And probably that you like Sailor Moon. That's nothing to be ashamed of either.

Might as well repost this with a slight edit since I'm not getting a PM:
I don't like Feeling Pinkie Keen because I think the comedic approach in it clashed awkwardly with the art style, and the moral was garbage that put a bad spin on the rest of the episode.

I like every episode! I don't like them equally, and I dislike aspects of some of them, but not enough to keep me from liking them.

Don't worry so much if other people don't like what you like! There will always be people out there who have different tastes.

The first two episodes are the only ones where I can't see the appeal outside of little girls and Sailor Moon-style high fantasy fans.

BUT THAT'S JUST ME. REALLY. I NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU KNOW HOW MUCH OF A CRAP I DON'T GIVE ABOUT YOUR TASTE. WE COOL? RIGHT.

apparently those aren't actually a poll to decide what will happen, but one of those scenarios will be done, but the poll isn't going to decide

I would like them to start an adventurous story ark to be honest. I mean the show is fine as it is but I do feel a bit jipped.

Alright, fine. i admit it:

I watched MLP and Sailor Moon when i was a kid. :| Sailor Moon however was a little different. It was one of my first tastes next to Samurai Pizza Cats and DBZ that was Anime and i was hooked, but i also liked the characterization of the show too. Luckily, i watched it when noone else was around just to perk my curiosity.

The reason is simple though. These shows has characterizations that were easy to get hooked to and i find that's pretty much why these shows become popular. Think of it this way: The horses/ponies on the show acted casual naturally and were easy to identify and you can't help but laugh at the idea that it's a girl show with horses, but it's also one of the more well-designed children shows out there. It's like how you watch Housepets now and you can tell the difference between every cat and dog because Rick made the difference in his characters noticable in that way with the pets and their fur and collars. If they were collarless and the same fur color, you then see the humorous universal-breakdown logic of real-world pets and animals broken down to what it is for us: Realistic. You just can't ignore that kind of enjoyable, simplistic nature of things. That effect is with the ponies too.

I'm starting to watch this show again just to fill my childhood curiosity moments again.

Word Of God stated that she wanted to have a season-spanning story arc, but Executive Meddling has forced her to produce episodes that can be watched independently and in any order. :( I would have liked a nice story arc too!
Oh yes, I've seen that myself! I would vote for ending #1, what do you guys think?

There has been no specific, definite word about this from anyone officially related with the show AFAIK

And anyway even if they did this is one time they got it right. Nightmare Moon plot stretched across the entire first season would have been insufferable.
