Just ordering something from amazon. Disregard my comment about commissions at the moment. April is when I'll aim for asking a commission.

Looking after my under-the-weather cat (yesterday he was a sick cat but now he's getting better), then de-stressing with the much bigger cats at the zoo here, then making a minor update to the mix on a song I was recording over the last two days. I think it's ready for prime time now! :D

Also being all sad that Monty Python is now down to four. :(

Looking up where to find a quesadilla maker, a beautiful, wonderful machine I did not know existed in this universe until today.

My mother got mine on Amazon for me as a Christmas gift so you could actually try there and see if you can find one. My quesadilla maker is made by Hamilton-Beach who up until this point I thought only made ceiling fans. XD

Continuing to recuperate at home while taking my medicine for my sinus infection. I've got some art and some comics to catch up on.
With the right community, getting into a webcomic at the beginning of a brand new arc can feel just as enjoyable and rewarding as being there from the beginning.

Figuring out a good metal-ish guitar tone for when I record later in the week.
And then grocery shopping!

One of these is more exciting than the other...

Is it the grocery shopping? Over here it is very exciting now because we have that weird little robot that goes around the supermarket and tells the staff over the PA when there is a spill.

Supposedly they are in Giant Food Stores and Stop & Shops which are located in the Northeastern states. But then I realized that you live in Canada. XD

True, but my brother and I are planning a possible trip down to Fargo or somewhere else in your midwest sometime within the next two or three months. So we can keep our eyes peeled for it when we do.
Even if we can't find that store Walmart might have certain things they don't have available here. Or there's that other department store with the bullseye and the funny story.

I think its only in the northeast states so it wouldn't be there but don't quote me on that.

The other department store you are talking about is Target.

Oh I know... they've just lost most of the respect they had up here cause of that funny story.

I really wanna know what the story is because I never heard of it. (Then again, I don't go to Target much as most of the time I go to the mall instead if I need something).

Right then... it's not a short story but I should be able to get to the gist...
So Target decided that since Canadians like to shop at their stores when they visit the States they should expand into Canada. They went all out on it, bought or drove out one or two of the department stores that were already up here to make themselves space, and made sure to give themselves a nice self-congratulating fanfare on opening... and then they left, two or three years later, because Canadians weren't flocking to them as much as they'd expected.
Their official statement was something like they had no idea why their reception from Canadians at home was so different from Canadians visiting the States, and IIRC made it sound like Canada had deliberately tricked them somehow. All when, as I'm sure you people have already figured out, the real story is probably that people who are on vacation like to try new things, and people who are living their everyday lives tend to stick to the places and things they already know are good enough for them.
The only real result of all this is that we're now short a few department stores up here -- even moreso now that Sears is gone. It's mostly just Wal-Mart and Hudson's Bay, with a few smaller ones here and there. ...I guess IKEA and Canadian Tire might also count partway, they've both got their areas of specialty but tend to get their paws into more than that regardless.

I'm rambling again. I didn't even get to the part where I tell you what I'm doing today before I started rambling!

My university book store may have forgotten to give me an online access code, if so I'll go back. Otherwise I'll be enjoying my last days before the next semester. This morning I watched the last half-season of Bojack Horseman (I meant to watch only a few episodes but it was so good I couldn't stop...). Also gotta get caught up on Star Trek Picard.

I started off today by visiting my grandmother in the rehabilitation hospital and was worried because she didn't want to do any exercises or couldn't then while me and my mother were going home, my uncle called and said my aunt couldn't get out of bed so he had to call 911 and then we got back just in time to see the ambulance pull in and carrying her out so I spent the next SIX hours in the emergency room.

Heading to the bank to make a deposit. Not a long trip, just 2 minutes away. I could walk there if I really wanted to, and I may actually do so. Gotta burn off some of the stuff I ate last night at the Super Bowl party.

Assembling stuff. Primarily, getting the garbage and recycle together for the dump; also getting all the forms, instructions, and 1099s together to start my Federal Income Taxes. Gee, hope I don't get them confused. ;)

I'm so glad that my mother handles the taxes since if I did them I'm sure the IRS would be pounding down our door to arrest us because i screwed up.

For decades, I do my own taxes because I have this cussed attitude that, in a democracy, a person ought to be able to do their own taxes without hiring a panel of mandarins to help screw it up. Our taxes are complicated; won't bore you with why. So, I get audited a lot - letters, demands for documentation, corrections, and I've had many, many phonecalls with IRS folks. They've have ALWAYS been polite, patient and helpful (but I still keep good notes). One year I sent them over two hundred pages documenting deduction claims. A couple times, they corrected my math and I got a larger refund. I've even gotten to know a couple of them over the years - it's not a happy place to work.

Still, the tax code is just mind-cramping.
