I'm thinking of choosing a fursona guys. I'm thinking a dingo or dingo-wolf cross because I'm Australian and I like wolves but wolves are super overdone and I do like the look of dingoes but they seem just a little too average. I MUST BE DIFFERENT!!!
I thought of a black dingo (yes they exist) but again, adding a different colour to things to make them more unique seems kind of overdone.

What do you guys think? Am I overthinking things? I mean I can't even draw and I'm not a full furry so it's not like I'm going to use it anywhere, it'd just be nice to have one.

Also, can I change my vote in the poll? It's not a huge deal but I'm a stickler for accurate statistics.

I think the way to go is to be a dingo. I don't particularly like hybrids, and if you want to be different, being a half-wolf is not the way to do it; those are all over the place.

I don't believe you can change your poll option. I wish you could.

Eh, to choose a fursona, just go with what you want to be. So what if it is common. Be unique by being yourself rather than your physical form. That is where your fursona becomes great, when it becomes you, silly.

Agreed with copper, be yourself and be unique that way.

Holy cow it would! LOL, but you're right, all the little things made yours very distinctive.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not just doing it for the heritage, I do really like dingoes, they're a cunning, misunderstood and still untamed (mostly) member of the dog family. Kind of like foxes in America.

there have been unconfirmed thylacine sightings for years since the last one in captivity died right before they were declared an endangered species.
Also, there are some plans to get new ones with cloning.

I actually have Four Different Fursona/persona. I just constantly changed it as my drawing skills got better.
I believe one is black cat, other one is golden Hamster, one that I have right now,one Nekomimi/non Nekimimi persona.

I've always wondered just how it is that one can't just have one fursona.

Considering it represents you, that would make sense. I think people just assume your fursona is just any character you like to RP as.

I think the fact that it was Housefox raising the issue means that they mean multiple fursonas at one time.

And here I've had the same one for five years.

My sentiments exactly. I can't see that as anything more than just RP characters and most of the people with multiple fursonas at one time have a primary one.

Now, there are exceptions: One I can think of off the top of my head is FoxLeaf, who has two fursonas because he literally has two personalities. They both represent him.

And of course, changing as you grow is indeed no big deal. I started out as a dog a couple of years ago and I've been a fox for not much over one year.

it's more of a change than switch.
I'm in my mid of teen and my metabolism is extremely fast so, I had to change it often. you guys are old.
