Today I scrambled to meet my assigned quota of peer speech reviews. Doesn't help when literally everyone in my group submits their outlines at the last moment... Once that was over, I had a nice lunch outing with my mom.

It did go good and I really was very calm and enjoyed being back at my old elementary school even though a lot of things have changed and I can barely recognize it all but I'm happy I was able to go and get a job there.

Now I'm nervous about starting the job on the 20th.

Moving back into my dorm since Christmas break is over. Three hours on the road, plus another couple unpacking. Then I get to spend my birthday alone tomorrow, followed by my first classes the day after. In other words, completely on par for the course moving back in for the Spring semester.

I’m just an hour or so, my family & I are headed out to pick my brother up from the airport. He was away for 10 days, and I’m curious as to what his potential jet-lag is going to be like, since he was on a schedule where there was an 8-hour time difference.

Waiting for the Verizon repairman to come and fix our Wi-Fi which got destroyed during a rain and windstorm that caused us to lose power and then when it came back on the surge killed the router. Right now, I'm using my grandmother's Wi-Fi.

Spent most of the day in my dorm as I really didn't have anything better to do, then went out to dinner + drinks with a couple friends to celebrate my 21st. Went with a rum and coke. Wasn't too much of a fan. Parents recommended a screwdriver or a bourbon and coke, but I didn't get anything else tonight since I have classes in the morning.

Had to watch my soap opera online because when the repairman fixed the Wi-Fi, the DVR cut off half of the episode for today so I just finished doing that.

Classes start today. It's bittersweet, since after this semester, I won't have anymore fun Geology classes to take, just those boring management ones.

I’m packing my bags for my bus trip to San Antonio tomorrow. Going to check and double-check that I have everything that I need on my carry-on and what I need for my main luggage. Then it’s time to put in some relaxation so I can hopefully get to sleep at a good time tonight.

Even though my job doesn't start until next Tuesday, I decided to go and get all of the dress clothes that I had and got for Christmas and started pairing the dresses and shoes up so I'm ready for it. I won't be able to do it when I get up since I have to leave by 7 AM which means I got to wake up at 6:30 AM. Haven't done that since high school a decade ago.

Stripped out the plywood floor of the van and scrubbed off all the rust day before yesterday, painted it over yesterday, so today I've been finishing off the painting and screwing wood battens to the metal. That way, I can make it easier to pull the floor up if I need to, and there will be space between the battens for insulation.

Nearly finished laying down the new floor. I think I bought wood sheets that are too thin. Even with the battens and the insulation, the sheets bend when walked on.

Still, it'll do for now, and I can always use the current sheets on the walls instead once I've bought new floor sheets.

Bumped my head on the sliding door's frame twice, good thing I put that foam protection strip there so I didn't hurt myself.

I recently got Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and was up until 3am playing it last night. I was fine when I woke up, so I guess I got the better outcome of that up-until-3 gaming session than a certain squirrel in the comic. And you know what? I did the exact same thing tonight.

Got back from PAX South on Sunday. Monday I went to the doctor to finally get some medicine for my sinus problems. I got the prescriptions the same day and am feeling better today, although I couldn't get to sleep well last night. Today is devoted to properly unpacking all of my stuff from the trip and getting some good R&R.
