don't worry, that pain goes away eventually. then comes back every time they tighten the braces.

Not necessarily. Mine didn't hurt every time they tightened them.

Sorrow: According to my dad, I can't control myself, I'm not responsible, and I can't be trusted. I only agree with the responsible part (but I'm working on that) whereas the other two insulted me a lot. The worst part is, my dad isn't really the kind of person you can be upset to. He has two modes: ridiculously angry, and ridiculously calm. If I talk to him, I either get a response like:

a) calm: "Relaaaaaxxx. *laughs* I was joking!"

or b) angry: "HOW DARE YOU TALK TO ME LIKE THAT BLAHBLAHBLAHANGERRRRRRYADDAYADDA!!1!1"

Sorry you have to put up with that.

At least you know enough to know that the other two are NOT true. I know it's hard, but try to be patient.

Well, it's not that I don't think you're not trustworthy, it's that I can't trust anyone, I grew up with that mentality seeing that I have been betrayed far too many times in my life.

Sorrow: I am cursed with bad luck (In games). And on that end, it makes me feel bad when others gloat about victory due to it. It just makes me wonder why it always happens to me. It is soooo frustrating how bad my luck is. (Like my partner disconnecting every time)

My mum was in an armed robbery, she saw one of her co-workers get attacked with a knife, for days afterward she couldn't sleep and was always jumping when the phone rung and stuff. I sorta understand what you're going through...

I admit I have been fortunate enough not to experience that, but the thing to remember is that if you let it impact you that much, then they WIN. Because that way they still have influence over you long after the experience is over.

Joy: Just finished writing paper for another scientific competition

Sorrow: It was quite frustrating because of highly restrictive limit 10000 characters. What is that? WHAT, is that? NOTHING!

Seriously, I couldn't even mention everything important, because there's simply no space. Which is kind of striking, since it's a scientific competition, so you would expect the papers to be covering complex topics... the original I'm writing has even way more words than the one I wrote for the competition has characters! It's roughly 150 000 characters and I'm still writing and that's all important quite highly compressed technical information, no talking around like in the tutorials and such.

I have never been in an armed robbery because I never go out of my house with valuble things and I never pull my cellphone out in public, I always look over my shoulder to make sure nobody's following me. I live in Colombia, my sister was robbed two blocks away from home.
