Re: Music.
non english songs, i'm a eurovision addict what you think but i do have some that are out of the eurovision area:
D'Nash - Capaz De Toto (Spain)
Regina - Zvacu te pile moje (Bosnia&Herzegovina)
AAA - Dream After Dream (Japan)
maNga - Dünyanın Sonuna Doğmuşum (Turkey)
and if you include ones that are foreign but sing English:
Two Door Cinema Club - Undercover Martyn (Ireland)
LoveBugs - Avalon (Switzerland)
Lordi - Blood Red Sandman (Some Nordic Country)
that's all I can think of right now and it's not just the sample songs there i listen to every song by every one of those bands.

Hey, I know all of these! I don't know where I've heard them, though... well, except Regina, it was on TV and radio all the time, since I'm from Bosnia and all.

Re: Music.
do you per any chance watch Eurovision since D'nash was representing Spain in 2007 with I Love You Mi Vida, and maNga represented Turkey in 2010 with We Could be The Same so that may be why.
oh and also ever since they were picked by Turkey for Eurovision 2011 I have been listening to Yuksek Sadakat.

So I was listening to my Disturbed Asylum album and the last track was something I wasn't expecting, not at all, and I think it's amazing.

Re: Music.
I guess I haven't been listening to enough music when I find an Australian pop artist who had a great album in 2008 that I'd never heard of
Lenka is pretty sweet generic pop; not half bad even if there's nothing particularly special about her.
Grum is totally unrelated to the rest of the post, I've just been enjoying his brand of kinda dirty electro-disco house

Here, some Italian songs from the hip-hop artist CapaRezza:Alex wrote:So guys, have you got any good non-English songs to share? I've got one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjAZyqn1uQQ
Annunciatemi al Pubblico (Introduce me to the public)
Il Silenzio dei Colpevoli (The Silence of the Guilty)
Abiura di Me (Abjure of Myself)
Jodellavitanonhocapitouncazzo (Ididn'tunterstands**taboutlife)
EDIT:
Forgot another nice one:
Epocalisse (Epocalypse)
"In nomine Libertatis vincula aedificamus; in nomine Veritatis mendacia efferimus." -Michele Salvemini aka CapaRezza
"Let there be light! That was, uhm... God. I was quoting God."
Re: Music.
This was pretty nice in the verse but then the rock chorus had to come in and ruin it x_x I'll keep an eye out for him though, he seems to be able to bring it decently hard when he feels like it.Andrea wrote: Il Silenzio dei Colpevoli (The Silence of the Guilty)
Uhhhhh since you brought another Italian rapper up; I've been obsessed with Uochi Toki lately. Would you happen to know where they fit in in terms of the hip hop scene over there? Any other related dudes I should check out?

I second this. Uochi Toki is pretty awesome and seeing another Italian rapper getting a mention has gotten me interested in the scene over there.machchunk wrote:This was pretty nice in the verse but then the rock chorus had to come in and ruin it x_x I'll keep an eye out for him though, he seems to be able to bring it decently hard when he feels like it.Andrea wrote: Il Silenzio dei Colpevoli (The Silence of the Guilty)

About the song: well, this guy is all about the lyrics. It's a shame you can't get all of them :<
Every one of his songs are about the society, politics and actuality, mostly written through metaphors and allegories. Even for an Italian can be hard to understand the subtle meaning behind them.

even without the traditional joking about your taste, i'm really disappointed in those guys, they've totally destroyed what they used to be. if it makes them happy, i s'pose.

since when did italy get so good at hip hop? this Caparezza stuff is golden

Italy is not good at hip hop, Caparezza is.Ebly wrote: edit re: italian hiphop

Also: Caparezza means "Curly head" in pugliese dialect. If you've seen the videos I posted you will probably understand why he chose this name =]
