I don't look much at weather forecasts, but if I do it, I'm using internet and swedish webpage, they're doing very good and accurate predictions.

I use the national weather services online, the Met Office. It's also very accurate.

Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
the Met Office can predict for about a week and a bit. I can see if they do a 7-10 day prediction for Poland?

You don't need to do it, as I said, I'm not paying much attention on weather forecasts

Well, hear in Georgia, You can safely predict the weather every day from may through October without looking at the weather forcast. Heat all day with a downpour at about 4 in the afternoon.

He didn't say he wouldn't create another. Anyway, we should change the subject since we're technically breaking the rules.
I have testing all the rest of this week. It's gonna suck.

Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
I don't have finals until the first week of June. This is all state TAKS testing. It's really easy but they take it extremely seriously and make it take all day. It's really annoying.

Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
Ah, standardized testing. No, wait, not "Ah". "Bleh", yes... that's the word I was looking for.

Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration

Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
Oh, the AP tests.
We've been reviewing for that for the past couple of weeks. I'll be taking one for Biology. To get the highest possible score (a 5), you only need to get 60% of the test right. And most people can't do that! Personally, I'm hoping for a 3 or a 4.

Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
The biology test was awful. It destroyed everyone. Once we started the test you could hear the entire room gasping and going "oh my God..." My friend didn't know how to answer several of the free response questions and drew herself hanging herself in the margin.
Which sounds discouraging, but actually, the grading is very, very lax. I did awful and I still got a 5.

Our teacher explained how the essays are graded. You can get a lot of extra points by just putting down as much information about the topic as you can, and you only need 2/3 of the possible points to get a perfect score. We've been doing a lot of practice questions from old tests, and the multiple isn't that bad either.

Our euro teacher told us that out of the 9 possible points for essays, the average score is 2.86Coatl_Ruu wrote:Our teacher explained how the essays are graded. The grading isn't lax, per se. It's just reasonable and based on how people actually do rather than an impossible scale

Getting anything higher than a 5 on the APUSH exam is a freakin' miracle.

Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
It's a miracle because it's literally impossible; the scale only goes to 5, doesn't it?

Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
Because it's timed.
50 minutes for 80 multiple choice questions.
50 or 70 (I can't remember which) minutes for two free-response essays.
50 minutes for a document-based question essay.
Plus, unlike the World History AP exam of last year, you have to answer all of the questions.
