Aethon shook his head a bit and started leading Apollo along again ''Snuggling corner? Uhm....I wouldn't be too sure. X3...''

With his finger, Apollo 'beeped' Aethon on his truffle. "Just kidding, silly! I may be looking for a stable boyfriend, not scare him away. Anyway, since I was the first to embarrass you, I'll buy a snack, hoping there is somewhere at the park where we could eat something. I would really like to get to know you better."

"Sounds great! You could fix something that we can bring to the park!"
"As long as you won't poison us..." Artemis muttered, eyeing the fox suspiciously. "Are you completely domesticated, or do still cling to your feral dietary habits?"
Apollo scowled at the bird. "Are you trying to ruin my first date, sister?!"
"I'm trying to keep you alive, even if you got your father's iron stomach. And I mean his biological father, foxie: Apollo is part Great Dane, part jackal."

Hypergenesis wrote:"It should b--", Crayon was interrupted by the screaming that accompanied the carts as it rocketed from it's elevated position. Crayon stared at the ride as it took just over half a minute to travel its entire track, then another for going backwards and returning to its dock. "Uhh, wow. It looks like it is that fun to ride. . .", he said with marvel in his tone.

As Crayon was about to answer Rhani picked up her phone. He listened to the voice on the other end at first, but then she started whining. "Sorry.. and tell the others I'm sorry too. Dad finished work early and wants to go home now..", she bowed to them and quickly ran off.

"Darn, See you then and thanks for today.", Crayon bade farewell to Rhani before turning back to Yukiko. "I guess it's just me and you then."
Yukiko's eyes widened in a mix of shock, awe and mild fear at the scream. She looked at it as well, smiling, "It does look like it will be very fun." She said. She looked to Rhani as she picked up her phone. She bowed to Rhani as she left, "Yes, thank you." She said, turning back to Crayon, "Yes, it would appear so. Although I am happy to be spending time with you, Crayon-kun."

Apollo nodded. "Yup! Temis and I come from a pet farm that provides exotic specimen for the entertainment industry. I was specifically raised for my job: Dad wanted Anubis and Horus, to represent his business, but jackals are too small, and the side-striped breed doesn't look at all like the real thing, so they chose a black dane. A fine choice, if I can say so!" He flashed a confident grin.
From Apollo's shoulder, Artemis laughed. "Watch it, foxie! When you start his vanity mode, he won't stop until he's spoken you to death!"
"Not true!" came the indignant reply.
"True!" Artemis counte-replied, rasberrying him.
"Not true!"
"True!"

"That's because the holy trinity of this mutt was made of our former job, hunting for mates and watching TV. I think he knows every single show since Dr. Who and Guiding Light."
"Artemis! You're such a loudbeak!"
The buzzard raspberried him again. "Oh, am I? Why won't you show him your 'backpack', then? Afraid that he could discover you're a fan of Wacky Races and UFOas well?"

Booo-ring! Dusk threw down the remote in his paws on the couch as he shut the TV off with an exasperated look. Nothing good is on! He stood up and his tail lashed left and right in frustration as he paced the room. He should have gone with Jane to the groomer's. At least something happens there, even if it's only a misbehaving pet who runs away wet from a flea bath! But here in the apartment, he felt like dying from bore. And what's worse, he didn't know any pets around the block to spend time with!
Sighing, the cat went to the window of the tenth story apartment and looked out at the neighborhood. He briefly surveyed the area from his window before he turned his attention to the park in the distance. "That's it, there's bound to be soemone there!" his expression brightened as he called out to no one in particular. Dusk hoped he was right, it was high time he got to know his new neighbors anyway. With lightning speed he grabbed his keys and ran out the door stopping only to lock it. The elevator ride down was excruciatingly slow, as soon as the doors opened and he was out of the building he took off running again towards the trees and the grass.
"I watch ponies now! Ponies are cool!"

Apollo was about to unstrap the backpack, when he saw a figure dashing in the direction of the Park. "Hey, Temis! Is that a cat?"
At the word 'cat', the buzzard immediately focused her attention on the running figure... And, yes! A snowshoe cat! A BEAUTIFUL, male snowshoe!
"Isawhimfirst!" Artemis exclaimed, before taking off like a rocket toward the cat.

Apollo looked at the bird fly fast like a bullet. He shrugged.
"Oh, she's got this things for cats, big and small. Once, she had started courting the leopard mascot of a nearby casino. I started calling her 'Juliet', because the cat's owner didn't want her disturbing the business. Dad thought she wanted to desert...until the leopard made it clear he wasn't into interrelations. But she's never stopped seeking for a feline company."

(Just realized I have no idea what a snowshoe cat looms like!)

"Hmm, we-ell..." The big dog scratched the back of his head, embarrassed. "Temis wouldn't like it if I interfered, right now. Let's just go to the park, she'll catch up." Apollo nudged the fox. "Wouldn't you like some privacy, too, handsome?"

Dusk has just reached the edge of the park when he heard the rustling of feathers in the air. He skidded to a halt and looked up to the sky, and sure enough, there was a bird flying... straight towards him?! Strange, birds would usually flee at the sight of a cat. Still, playing with a crazy bird is better than doing nothing! His tail twitched with excitement as he put on a cheshire grin, and he quickly ducked behind the nearby bushes, hoping to get out of sight and surprise the bird when it got closer. Oh, this will be fun!

Oh, so kitty wanted to play, eh?
Artemis had kept a watchful eye on her target. If she had had hostile intentions, he would be already a meal..!
Instead, she waited until he was 'hidden' behind the bushes. He was fast, agile, but she had the element of surprise, having spotted him first.
And, as soon as the cat had 'hidden'...she soared, until she was finding herself against the sun, then closed her wings.
And like a rocket, she dove toward the bushes!

---
Apollo launched himself after the fox, giggling in turn.
Yes, this was going to be a VERY interesting neighborhood!

Aethon sung a little song to himself as he walked quickly, though he sung it under his breath so no one would really hear it. He grinned as he noticed how close he and Apollo were to the park entrance

Crayon got real excited, which he thanked the screaming cart that passed by on top of them for disguising his joy, and quickly jumped at the chance to ask, "Maybe we could exchange numbers then? It's more convenient since we always carry our phones with us. Makes setting and changing schedules easier too since we could always leave a message in case one of us is busy.". Deep inside he hoped she would say yes, in his mind he hoped she would say yes, in reality he quickly pulled out his phone and typed in his number and showed it to Yukiko. "Here's mine. It's really easy to remember because the numbers spell out 'crayons' when used with the T9", he informed as he continued to hold his phone at a distance that is easy to read.

She pulled out her phone and typed Crayon's number in it. She typed up her number for him to see, "My number is likewise easy to remember. It spells ytsnowy on the T9. YT for my initials, and snowy because my fur is white like snow."

"Amazing, we both have requested numbers.". Crayon quickly typed in the number into his contacts, which also had most of his friends' numbers, albeit the records only being a fraction of the size of Yukiko's. "Oooh.", he suddenly let out as he received a message from Cesium, he was sure of it because the title said so, although the number was Caramel's. "Cesium's asking if it's alright for him to have your number. Here's his by the way.", showing the text message that read:
Subject: A message from Glacier's Cesium

Can I have yours and Yukiko's numbers? I don't think splitting up without contact is such a good idea.
My number is 552-237-486, (That's 55 Caesium if your contacts is full.)
"Cool no? His number's the same as ours too, although I wonder why he spelled his name as Caesium.", Crayon ended up wondering while he continued to display the message for Yukiko.

====================================================

Cesium took a peek at his phone as he continued walking by Genesis and in front of Bullet and Maple. Well they seem to be a bit more quiet than I expected...

She looked at the message, "That does strike me as odd that he would spell his name like that." She said. She looked at the line as they moved further into the line, "It looks like it will not be that much longer, does it?" She asked, optimistically.

"Okay, sending... Now. Done.", Crayon said after he typed in Yukiko's number from memory. Flipping his phone close he slid it into his collar and looked at the line. He noticed that a few groups had already either boarded or vanished from the line. "Sure doesn't look like it. I think that sign was misleading though. The line seems shorter here than it was back there.". Despite Crayon's observation, he failed to notice that the single file they were lined up in broke into two lines near the gate. He walked closer to the gates and stopped when the last passenger entered the boarding are and the line was halted by a closed gate. "I can see the gate already.", Crayon said as he pointed at the roof of the Boomerang's loading area.

"AAAAAH!" Dusk shouted at the top of his lungs more from shock than pain, and jerked his body violently to get away from the bird. This wasn't a crazy pigeon, this was a bird of prey! It must have ventured into the city to look for easy prey, and apparently, it liked to play with it's food. This wasn't a game anymore.
The snowshoe landed on the ground with a thud but quickly rolled over and got back on his paws, this time crouching low to the ground, his fur standing up along his arched back and his tail was frozen stiff. Apollo was growing impatient. He was used to being direct, spontaneous in his affective displays.
Thus, rather than moving at Aethon's slow pace (at least, for his longer and more powerful legs), he decided to literally pick up the fox into his arms! "Faster does it!" he barked happily, and then ran *really* fast toward the park!

Hypergenesis wrote:"It looks like it would be just two or three more groups before it's our turn.", Crayon replied after looking at the line. "It must be a really good ride since the rest of the rides barely had any lines with them.".
Yukiko looked at the line ahead, "Indeed it must. The anticipation of hearing their screams while waiting here is very exciting, is it not?" She asked, smiling, "We are sitting together, right?" She wanted to confirm.

Crayon tilted his head and wondered, I thought we were... "Well, I would want to sit together with you." Eep, did I just say that? "That is if you don't mind. I feel it's more fun riding these rides when you have someone you know beside you, though that may just be me..". Again he tried holding back his feeling from showing, just smiling normally and trying to let the conversation remain as normal as possible.
What do you mean "watch my words"? It's my tongue that I sharpened.

Yukiko nodded, "Yes, I agree." She said as she smiled. As usual, she was oblivious to Crayon's crush. The line continued to diminish, but it was still a few minutes longer, "I do hope this ride lives up to the expectations. Judging by the riders' excitement, the ride is very good."

"I'm pretty sure it will. Just look at all those smiles from the people who rode it...", noticing that there were large smiles on the people who just finished a trip on the boomerang, though there was one that was crying, "Well, most of the smiles...", smiling to Yukiko as he said that. This is so hard. his thoughts directed at the constant effort of resisting just hugging the Kishu Inu. Crayon was silent for a moment, he was thinking if he should or shouldn't. The former won and he turned to Yukiko, "..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."

"..."
"Do you like poffee?", he finally asked.
I can't say it!!!, he tore his fur off in his mind.

Yukiko looked ahead cheerfully, her hands holding themselves politely. She looked to Crayon as he attempted to speak. She waited patiently for him, and when he asked if she liked poffee, she smiled confused, "I'm afraid I do not know what poffee is." She replied, apologetically.
