"Don't worry geeze" Storm said, chuckling to hide her embarrassment "I'll hold it tight this time , won't happen again"

"Well? What are you waiting for? Hit it!" Joey encourages.

Storm took a deep breathe , then tried her best to hit the ball. The hit was much more accurate this time , but was also slower and weaker.

"Much better," Met said. "good aim, good technique. you could afford to put a little more strength into it, but otherwise nice shot."

Just then, a young arctic fox walked up to the gang. "Hi, can I join you guys?" he asked.

(OOC: Sam's house is somewhat between small and medium sized, and it is located in the North-West/Mountain area.)

The twins look at the newcomer and then at each other. They've never seen a creature quite so white and fluffy as this before and aren't quite sure what to make of him. So they wait for Met and Maria to take the lead.

"and I'm Met," the lion added before the fox could answer.

"Uh, I'm Sam," the fox answered, "Nice to meet you Met and Maria." He then reached his hand out to shake theirs.

"He's Jake; I'm Joey."
"He's Joey; I'm Jake." the twins say simultaneously, pointing at each other and themselves. They pause a moment before trying again.
"I'm Joey; he's Jake."
"I'm Jake; he's Joey." they chorus, again in perfect sync.
"Got it?" they finish together with wide grins.

Delilah waves to Sam, smiling a bit.

"My name's Delilah and this," Mario pokes out of her hair, "Is my brother Mario."

"Pleasure to meet, you dear."

"It's a pleasure to meet you all!" Sam says joyfully.

"and same to you," Maria replied. "We won't go easy on you just cause we just met. prepare to lose."
"don't act like you're good at this Maria," Met chuckled

"Expect yourself to eat those words!" Sam rebuttled.

"So, where you from, Sam?"
"You just moved here?" the roos query, leaning on their clubs, looking for all the world like one kangaroo beside a mirror.

Er...my owner has been living here for quite a while, Sam replied, even before he found me.

"Not your owner."
"You! How long have you been here?"

"Ummm...About over 2 years." Sam replied.

"huh, I thought this neighborhood was pretty new," Met said, confused. then he just shrugged it off. "what's your owner like?"

Met's remark left Sam confused, but he decided to answer Met's question before asking one of his own. "Hm...
I think Mr. Vayner is pretty kind and charitable, concerning that he took me in and rescued me from loneliness on the Arctic. So, Met, about you thinking that this neighborhood is new: When did you move here?"

"Only like 2 months ago, I think," Met replied. "and I could have sworn it had only been open a few weeks at that point."

"Maybe he lived here before it was a town."
"That happened at home. Part of the bush got turned into human homes. Left a lot of animals homeless."

After a moment of akward silence, Sam piped up: "Eh...I think I might of gotten a little mixed up" he said as a sheepish grin came across his face, "I'll probably clear it up with Mr. Vayner."

"Don't worry, I get mixed up sometimes too," Maria said. "you know for a few week once I thought my name was Mario."

Chuckling, Sam replied, "Indeed you did."

"Erm...hi, sorry i haven't introduced myself" Storm said with a shy wave "what do you mean by that ?"

"And who might you be?" Sam said to Storm.

"My name is Storm, me and my owner just moved here. I actually just met everyone here today, actually" Storm replied

Tesla leans over to look at Sam, scrawling in a few notes to her journal as she keeps her ears perked up. "Timid... and he's curious," the tiny fox mumbles as she glances over her book between brief notes. "Near pure white..."

"Whatcha drawing, Tesla?" Joey queries, peering at the fennec fox.
"Whose turn is it?" Jake queries.

"So, you're name's Terra?" Sam said as he watched the fennec fox observe him.

"No, she's Tesla," Maria corrected Sam.

"I think it's your turn again, Jake," Met answered

The fennec visibly tenses, closing her journal and hugging it to her chest. "It, uh... Thanks Maria..." She mumbles, shuffling towards her friend some. "A-anyway, it... They're not drawings, it... it's writing." The small fox finishes before her voice drops beyond the point of hearing, hiding slightly behind the book.

"Ah. So... Whatcha writing?" Joey asks.

"Oh, right." Jake hops over to his ball and lines up his putter again, using the better grip he's been shown. He pokes his tongue out the side of his mouth as he concentrates and then swings. The ball goes straight towards the hole... But jumps over it.
"Aw! No fair!"

Jack the badger had been standing there ever since he entered with Sammy, but nobody had noticed him and they seemed to not even know he was there. He sighed. This was fairly typical for him, ever since his pet sitter lost him in his back yard. The average height, average colored, average everything badger stood out so little in every way he was sometimes difficult to see, even when he was standing right next to everyone. Like he was now. Eyes were always drawn to the most interesting or unusual thing in sight, and the only thing interesting about Jack was just how unnaturally uninteresting he was. When the kangaroo named Jake started his turn and the pets started playing again with Jack still going unnoticed, he cleared his throat. "Ahem. Hi everyone. My name is Jack."

"Oh hi , er, Jack , I'm Storm" the lioness replied , relieved she had someone else to talk to after being randomly ignored.

"Hey. Seems we're both a bit invisible right now." He shrugged. "I'm used to it."

"that's how the game goes," Met said. "I'm sure you'll get it next time."

Noticing the badger, Sam said "Oh, hey! Who are you?"

Jack smacked himself in the forehead. He had been walking just behind Sam for several minutes prior to getting to the mini golf course, and was still only now just being noticed. "My name is Jack." He smiled, secretly laughing inside at the absurdity of his situation. "What's your name?"
