The Spanish "I" would sound almost identical to the English "Y" in that position though. Kind of like "hielo" and "yellow" sound pretty similar despite looking nothing alike.

Technically that's truth, but I have seen first "Iuuuuuck" than "Yuck" so I use the first one.
