I'm pretty sure Fluttershy doesn't know more than Rarity about tailoring. She knows more than most ponies, but still.

I took that scene between Rarity and Fluttershy as showing that Rarity's skills were slipping as she grew increasingly frazzled by her friends' demands.

is Rarity's talent really fashion, because her cutie mark and her cutie mark story make it seem more like her talent is finding gems.

Fashion makes more sense. If it was finding gems her cutie mark would've appeared when she found that big rock. But it appeared after she had implemented the gems into her outfits and got praised for them.

So...I guess her special talent is fabulosity? Oh gosh, six months ago I would've never used that word in any way except a derogatory term. What have ponies done to me!?

well aperantly the mark doesn't come till your actually confident in it. I think sh got confidence in her talent but misunderstood what it was. Mostly this just a personal thing becuase i don't really think she ever made anything that nice exept for the dresses in that one eppisode. Other then that what she makes is either to gaudy or BEDAZZLED TO DEATH! (which reinforces the whole gem thing)

Exranio, the question wasn't whether you could imagine it happening, it was whether you would want it to happen. I personally would love an FiM movie. What are some of your ideas, mariomarc?

When Luna became Nightmare Moon, she was actually possessed by some unexplained forced that wanted her power, and tricked her by promising her the attention she desired.
When the mane cast defeated her, the force was actually removed, but not destroyed.
Something causes Twilight to under go a Phoenix saga, and the force takes control of her.
It then threatens to concur and/or destroy the world, and the rest of the cast are forced to stop it, before it's too late.

random ideas:
- dogfight between the wonder bolts and shadow bolts
- fluttershy gets a dragon to help them, because we all know she totally could
- after the force is removed from twilight, it is destroyed using a Sonic Rainboom, because that is the most **** way i could imagine

Sounds absolutely, spectacularly awesome. There's already a fanfic kinda somewhat maybe like that, called The Party Hasn't Ended. Absolutely beautiful ending. I highly recommend it.
