Babylon Gardens in Minecraft

Post by snowykat »

So like, i was starting to build a neighborhood in Minecraft called Babylon Gardens and i was like wait, why dont i just make this like the Housepets Babylon Gardens instead of bulding random buildings so now i am building Babylon Gardens in Minecraft based on any pictures of the neighborhood, houses or area in general that are in the comic. some parts will also be based on house types that were popular and commonly used in 1987-ish era such as split-level or backsplit (split level type houses seemed to be really popular back then).

here is first picture. the four houses towards the bottom were started after i decided to do this. houses in top were like 5 months ago in like 1920s house style so they are not part of this project.

Nice work. Don't think Hagus' HP server had an actual BG replica.

It's not in the server, it's on his world Dayzee.

march 9th 1995 update: i finished this birch house and gave it the house number 1990, im making another road next to it. that other unfinished house was originally going to be the sandwich house but i found an outline of the house while reading the comic last week. that house will now be just a house.

I wonder how the tenants of the house are gonna explain a tree growing INSIDE the house? XD

It’s a perfect place for a treehouse inside a house.

Its not that I have a fog, its that my OCD ends up acting up and I think I screwed up on something. So I obsess more and more until I DO and use that as justification for trashing a project.

I honestly was never really interested in it either. However if people enjoy it and can create cool pieces of art like this then who am I to judge them?

I guess if I were to look into some videos on YouTube about the game and get sucked into it I might want to try it. I'm not sure that I would find the will to continue with it though.

Listen to the soundtrack and you will get it instantly. It’s so ethereal and melancholic, it’s as if you’re peering into the mind of a child transitioning into an adult, realizing they’re about to enter the chaos and darkness of the “real world”.

I wouldn't need to listen to it in that case then. Even now I still feel like a child becoming a adult and I have no idea what I am supposed to do or how I am supposed to function. Its really frightening. :o

Hopefully nobody else has trees growing inside their houses. LOL That wasn't a shot but just me saying that a house with that issue can't be really safe. :geek:
