The super serious and always working without a break and on the case Ralph decides he needs to do something fun in order to take the stress he has off of him from being a K-9 and starts to moonlight as a clown.

Impressed and a little cowed by Sasha's talent as a classical pianist, Kevin resolves to learn to play a musical instrument. So he asks Peanut and Grape to help him find one that he might have some inclination towards. Like the kazoo, maybe.

Duchess: "Bino, I want you to contact this Nega-Breel or Mega-Breel or Sega-Breel or whatever this demon is trying to kill Keene!"
Bino: "But, sweetie, I don't know how to destroy a demon ... How could we rescue Keene?"
Duchess: "Rescue that skinny little sleaze-ball?! We're not gonna rescue "Scrooge McShmuck" from that demon. We're gonna help it kill the little jerk!!!"

Remember, all dogs go to heaven!

Also, remember in the actual movie, at the start Charlie was allowed entry even after Annabelle found that there was nothing redeemable about him in the Book of Life.

In order to earn money for Christmas presents, Maxwell takes a job at Earl’s garage. Turns out the cat has a natural aptitude for car repair, plus he can hide on the ceiling of the mens room when a difficult customer comes in.

Lester, Joey, and Dallas are playing (badly) multi-level chess at the Good O'l Dogs Club and find themselves under the curious gaze of Daisy. She asks to join and very quickly rules the board. As a result, Lester storms out, Joey is cowed into silence and Dallas develops a titanic crush on Daisy.

Upon their return Earth (or Tarot’s return to heaven) Maxwell decides to teach Peanut, Tarot, and Grape about baking, the dogs turn out to be quick learners, Grape not so much.

On a dare from Lester, Joey and Dallas try to teach Dungeons and Dragons to Boris, Rex, and Yeltsin. Turns out they're not too bad at it but tend to take the dramas a bit literally.

Just as Ceberus hands the contract to Keene, Mrs. Macgillicuddy and Rex arrive on the scene with pies for everybody. Where the heck did Rex learn how to drive a bakery wagon, anyways? ... and Mrs. Mac really knows how to use GPS? Gosh, the things you learn in this comic!
