Had to look those up I must confess, Spike Jones seems pretty Zany, impressive musicianship and good comic timing. Like the surf guitar of Lawrence, I've heard some of his stuff before but didn't know the name.

Django was 30's to 50's so a similar era to those guys I guess, I'm always amazed how he got those sounds from his guitar with damaged fingers on his chord shaping hand, gave him a unique style and sound I think. I have no excuses for poor fingering of Jazz chords!

Apologies if you knew about Django already. I assume he's fairly well known in Jazz circles.

I did. And he's a GREAT CHOICE! I have a fondness for the old swingers, I guess because I'm ... oh ... right ... I said why already. Forgetfulness, you know.

Less Lawrence Welk is generally good advice.

So the "Got-Junk" guys called at 7:30 to tell us they were coming at 8:00. Well, I had them scheduled for 9:00 so had to do a buncha "jump-down-spin-around" to get ready. But we was ready and all the removal went smoothly enough.

Typical "Boomers", when we moved into the old homestead after the remodeling, we had kept all kinds of stuff under the abiding "Boomer" theory that "we'll find a use for this some day". The remodeling company aided us in that delusion by leaving lots of unused stuff around to suppliment the older stuff. So, finally, we came to the admission that we had no use for all that kay-rapp and got it gone. Guess that's called maturity.

So, my son's on the phone so a great September day ever'body and be well. :)

I love autumn if only for apple cider donuts.

Since today in my particular part of the world is almost over, tomorrow I will be working on my writing for my stories here .

Cool.

After gym, went over to the hospital to do a little "reconnaissance". See, I have to take "treadmill stress test" next week at 8:00am after a 30 minute drive, and this hospital is an absolute rat maze. So I needed to map out the route from the parking lot to the stress lab so I don't lose my appointment by getting lost somewhere between proctology and the gift shop ... 8-)

sigh....
